I found myself in a difficult financial situation where i needed to exit a vehicle. Oliver at RSA went above and beyond what would be expected or a car garage, I will not go into the details, but Oliver did more than would be expected of someone enabling us to get out the car and transition into a more affordable vehicle. I really will remember this and is testament to the ethics of the team at RSA

It’s taken me a while to get round to writing this review, but I had a fantastic service with Rayner Smith. I purchased a Tesla from them, I was travelling up from London and they kind enough to pick me up from the station. Great communication and I would highly recommend them

Oliver and the team at the dealership were absolutely fantastic! I recently purchased a Porsche from them and I couldn't be happier with the level of service I received. Oliver went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was nothing short of excellent. On the day of collection, he took the time to show me around the vehicle, and when I noticed some loose stitching on the passenger seat, he was incredibly apologetic and immediately offered to have it repaired at no cost to me. True to his word, the issue was promptly taken care of, and I was thoroughly impressed with his commitment to customer satisfaction. The entire team at the dealership was amazing, and I would wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone in search of a top-notch car-buying experience. Charlie was great from beginning to end. We had a really positive experience, he wasn't pushy and as a female buyer he wasn't condescending towards us. He answered all questions and nothing was too much bother. Aftercare so far has been amazing. We would highly recommend this garage. Thank you!

Where do I start? What an absolute pleasure it was buying a car from Rayner smith. The customer service is excellent and the purchase of my vehicle went smoothly and quick. I live on the Isle of Man and made distance purchase of a Range Rover, from Rayner smith automotive, dealing with Oliver well I can’t thank him enough he was honest and very detailed in all our questions regarding the ranger rover prior to purchase & Oliver kindly offered to drive and delivered the vehicle to heysham port to meet us, we we’re certainly very impressed with the vehicle. I would never hesitate to recommend these guys.

Bought a car 8 months a go and have since had problems with parts on the car not being original parts ! Refusing to put right ! I can’t claim on warranty as not genuine goods ! Not happy also lots of other issues on the car ! After spending / hell of a lot of money not happy They didn’t put things right offered to paint over the rust and corrosion on the non genuine part. One min the car came from a family friend to sell the next it was bought from a dealer who no longer operates so unable to prove if genuine or not !! Won’t replace with genuine product. Shame really but that was the offer to put right to bodge the non genuine part. Not satisfied one bit. As paid £66k for a car which I’ll lose even more money due to the faulty side steps !

Bought a Range Rover Sport through Oliver. I did not see the vehicle apart from by video, traded a Merc slk in against it with a good px valuation and had it delivered. Arrived on day as arranged, very pleased with it, as described. For some reason the battery played up the next day, no fault of Rayner Smith just one of those things. Oliver said to get it replaced and he would pay. Kept to his word Range Rover fine now. Would highly recommend this company, hard to find a genuine dealer these days you can trust. Many thanks to Oliver for a genuine easy purchase.

Buying from this dealer absolutely ruined my experience of buying my first car. The gentlemen are polite and friendly and unfortunately I was hoodwinked from the get go. Firstly, it took 7 weeks from putting down a deposit to actually receive the car, even though I was initially told it would take a week. In hindsight should have been a warning sign that this car was definitely not fit for sale; I should really have walked away after 4 weeks of unforthcoming excuses as to why it was taking so long to be ready. When I finally got the car and looked through the MOT I nearly had a heart attack over the amount of issues that had cropped up and that I hadn’t been advised of when looking at the car or enquiring for updates on when it would be ready. The fails had been resolved but there was many advisories which were left; the most dangerous being travel on the handbrake. The handbrake actually would not hold on hills, making it incredibly difficult to drive in my home city which is very hilly. Needless to say you don’t need a car where the handbrake isn’t holding for your first car. Worst of all though, is I had deliberately asked if there was full service history and I was promised there was. The car was delivered to me without it. When questioned, the dealer said “I only have partial, I’m waiting for the rest to follow from the previous owner who has moved house”. Another heart attack. As most will already know, a car’s resell value will drop significantly without the service history. Ironically, I was promised the car would come to me with a full service. As I haven’t got the service history, I can only assume a service hadn’t been done either. I asked for them to take back the car and was told they’d get back to me but never heard back. I paid £3,495 for the car, the resell value was at best £2,000; given the lack of service history and the mechanical issues. In the end after two weeks of owning it I had to part exchange it for a new one as I desperately needed a reliable car and had been waiting over two months by that point. I’ve lost £1,750 but even worse than the financial loss, was the absolute anxiety and stress caused by all of the hassle. Lesson learnt. Never again.
