Although I have been working remote and online for over a year, and am quite tired of online anything, I had a fantastic experience with this online course. Patrick was engaging, enthusiastic yet realistic, and was a pleasure to have as an instructor. I recently completed Outrageous Impact's "Interviewing for Innovation" course. Divided into 5 sessions, the course covered the key elements of online interviewing, from research planning and participant recruitment to analysis and reporting. In each session, Patrick provided a safe and open forum for asking questions about the material, discussing concerns and experiences with research practice. The course also went beyond discussion and included actual practice: conducting a series of three on-line interviews with participants recruited using a screener we developed as part of the course. Following those interviews, we worked as a group -- there were 5 of us in the course -- to review and comment on each other's interview sessions -- what worked well, areas for improvement. This "critique" was handled professionally and constructively. It was consistently clear that the intent was to help us all improve our interviewing skills. Another valuable element of the course was the discussion about how to address questions and concerns expressed about qualitative research results from stakeholders. And just as important as content and practice, if I had questions or needed help outside of the scheduled session times, Patrick responded in a thorough, timely and helpful way. His enthusiasm for research was consistently on display. I highly recommend this course.

Really enjoyed working with Patrick and the team. It was interesting to listen in to the online research session. The Remesh methodology / technology worked well, making sure that all voices were heard. The report produced afterwards wasn’t just a rehash of respondents’ comments but showed that great thought had gone into trying to work out what those comments meant - and how we might change / adapt better to meet customers’ needs and expectations.

The biggest challenge in delivering any kind of content online is to keep the attention of your audience and ensure that the information you want to share is delivered in an interactive and engaging way. Patrick’s workshop on crisis management did exactly that. Patrick is not only an experienced facilitator and trainer with a true flair for delivering engaging content but a truly knowledgeable expert.

Excellent course led by the very engaging and creative Patrick. He excels at making online delivery the best fun ever. Disco dancing and amusing whatsapp videos totally energizing. As someone with no experience of research interviews, the excellent content and highly interactive structure of the course helped me to have a solid grounding in how to conduct impactful interviews in just 4 weeks.
