About Parallel Skiing e.V.

Parallel Skiing is a registered Sports Club in Germany and itself a member of the Bayersiche Landes Sport Verband BLSV. We are made up mostly of expats living and working in Munich mostly from Asia and Eastern Europe. Our language of communication is English. We promote recreational winter sports among our expats and we concentrate mostly on alpine skiing but have occasional sledging, ice skating and cross-country skiing. We specialize in teaching those of our members, who have never skied, to ski using the direct parallel short ski method. We have our own ski equipment that we provide to our members and we organize lodging and car-sharing for our ski trips. We also offer a Kinderskikurs München at which we speak English and German.

Really good way to learn...plenty of support, excellent tutor: learner ratio.. Good cheap accommodation and shared travel...overall thoroughly enjoyable couple of weekends. I must admit to having had to repeat my first weekend... I found my legs stopped doing what I asked by lunchtime... but as they've been carrying me round for over 70 years I don't blame them. Very understanding helpful and accepting tutors

Brilliant ski course which teaches how to ski in just 3 weekends! The short ski method seems very strange at first but clearly with the long list of skiiers who have graduated from parallel skiing taking on tough red and black slopes comfortably, it works. The course is great fun and a fab way to meet new people and make new friends. The instructors are mostly previous students which gives them a full appreciation for all of the exercises and the course itself. It's a great, fast way to learn to ski and I can't recommend it more!

Being already in my thirties, I never thought I would learn to ski so quickly and in such an uncomplicated way. Teachers are very skilled and totally qualified, both from the human and technical perspectives

This is the best place in Munich for adult ski lessons, especially for beginners but also for those who have some experience. Aimed particularly at the expat crowd, lessons are conducted in English over the course of a whole weekend, maximizing time spent on the slopes and becoming familiar with the techniques and skills taught. Highly recommended for any adult beginners considering learning to ski!

The best ski courses for adult beginners from around Munich. Impressive results. I can very highly recommend. If you tried other adult ski courses before and you were disappointed or discouraged as a result, check this classes from Parallel Skiing e.V. out: this is life changing! What looked like a very difficult undertaking at first (learning to ski down any slope in confidence when I was aged 28 and was almost never on ski before) became one of the most fun experience ever!

Excellent course, great community. If you want to learn how to ski confidently in a decently short period of time, look no further. If you are new in the Munich area it's also a great place to get to know international people and find new friends.

Not only is the ski course setup for successful training but also for loads of fun and at a very reasonable price. No need to worry about arranging transport, accommodation or equipment, it is all included and taken care of. You just show up, meet many expats in Munich and have fun as you gradually build confidence on the slopes. The instructors were all very professional and friendly!

Parallel skiing uses a really cool technique that relies on short skis to allow people to first learn the technique and then progress to longer skis. A really awesome course

I was on the black slope after 3 weekends of learning skiing with Parallel Skiing, I feel very confident on my skis and genuinely can't wait to go skiing again. All of this, thanks to Parallel Skiing and all the team. Would recommend to anyone who wants to learn skiing!
