United Kingdom | 19 April 2022Do not use them if you fall into financial difficulty they will make it impossible for you to pay off the balance. They are an utter disgrace avoid at all costs.

United Kingdom | 24 February 2022Avoid this company like the plague. If you get into financial difficulty they aren't willing to help you. Tried to set up a tenporary payment plan which was affordable for myself and they refused it saying it wasn't sustainable for me and would take too long to pay off the loan.

United Kingdom | 12 February 2022Geeenlight credit which trades as a varooma are regulated by the FCA but unfortunately do not abide by the rules. They secured a loan on my sons car without even making any proper checks on whether he could actually afford the loan. Of course because they didn't make any of the necessary checks my son fell behind with the payments and they attempted to reposses his car. In the end I had to raise a complaint to them on the basis, they had not stuck to a basic principle that all FCA regulated companies must agree to, which is to lend responsibly and make all the necessary checks to prove affordability. I raised a complaint to varooma providing all of the evidence that proved no checks had been made. Their compliance officer did not uphold my complaint and they continued with their bullying repossession tactics. I then took my complaint to the Financial ombudsman presenting my side of the case. Varooma couldn't even be bothered to respond to the information the ombudsman were requesting. I then had to raise a DSAR request asking Varooma to supply me with all of the information they hold about my son and what checks they had made. Thankfully they had no choice but to provide this information. Once I presented this to the ombudsman it did not take them long at all to uphold my complaint and decide in my sons favour. Varooma had no choice but to cancel the loan, refund back all charges plus 8% compound interest, return the log book and remove all negative information from my sons credit file The only good thing about varooma is they ate regulated by the FCA so you have some protection.

United Kingdom | 09 February 2022Fine if your payments are on time, then they revert to bully boy tactics. The insolvency agency has told them my debt doesn't need paying due to bankruptcy. Every once in a while they will try and scare me into paying. They were fine when I was with them but this debt has been ongoing for over 2 years and they still contact me and are rude.

United Kingdom | 31 March 2021I was extremely impressed by the way that Varooma dealt with me as a customer. The process was seamless and the people involved were highly professional and genuinely motivated to exceed expectations. The desire to make the process efficient is very apparent. Excellent service with particular thanks to Sue who signed the contract. Adrian.

United Kingdom | 11 March 2021Massively disappointed in this time waster of a judgmental Company. I applied for a logbook loan with Varooma. Was initially accepted after confirming the details of my car, plus that I'm a civil servant with a permanent full time job and a very affordable income. I could understand being asked to provide proof of ID plus address, that's fine. I could easily have provided wage slips too if needed. But no. They wanted online access to snoop into my account, which I gave them. They then turned me down due to how I choose to spend my spare / pocket money each month...!!! Absolutely disgusted, disappointed and let down... Re: Your reply. I made it clear in my application that the Pandemic has not affected my income at all. Please don't try to take the moral high ground when, at the end of the day, only customers who have a poor credit score come to you in the first place - and your high interest rates reflect that! As for Moola, although some lenders use it, the majority do not...

Ireland | 06 January 2021Got to be honest, I read some bad reviews before applying but beggers can't be choosers. I found then to be brilliant and some of my last payments were late but they were absolutely fine as I phoned them to let them know. I really recommend this company

United Kingdom | 21 December 2020Shocking company

United Kingdom | 14 December 2020I got a loan last year - had no problems with it - or so I thought - then this year they wouldn't do one due to covid - fair enough - I went elsewhere - only to find out - Varooma sent back my logbook - but have left my car as under finance from them - I fully outright own my car - I paid off Varooma early - not late once - and they have made it impossible for anyone else to provide me with a logbook loan! I rang up and they removed it right away - apparently it was just an issue with someone not pressing a button - I never forgot to pay - you should never have forgot to press the button.... extra star as the person I just spoke to was lovely but that doesn't excuse me having to chase up after all this time has passed - If I find out this has affected my credit I will be making a formal complaint.

United Kingdom | 15 September 2020Put in an affordability complaint with Varooma , reason being on my last top up , I was told I needed to supply proof of income for the last 3 months , I provided my bank statements and it clearly showed that for 1 of the months I had no income / or did not match the income I quoted , there was a bank transfer on my statement for £1200 , which I fact was another loan paid to my friend and transferred to me . There agent said “ we will use this as your income “ , and there are now denying all knowledge of this . Telling me now “ yes we require 3 months bank statements but 1 months income is fine “ also after paying my loan off they didn’t return my log book , and had to call a number of times to get it sorted , So I received an email today saying my complaint at been upheld , then the rest of the email was about them defending there decision , when questioned “oh sorry we meant were not upholding “ completely unprofessional to send out emails without checking them . Avoid like covid 19

Germany | 05 August 2020Absolute shambles of an organization. Look elsewhere for a loan if possible. They do not provide any customer support, do not allocate the payments against your outstanding balance and instead pocket it against the interest, thus not reducing your overall balance when it comes to settliing early. In the process of taking this further with my legal team to reclaim their extortionate fees/interest.
