United Kingdom | 27 January 2025I visited the Welsh Gatehouse in the middle of a really cold spell, and we were toasty warm. Sitting in front of the wood burning stove was a delight in the evenings. They had some DVD's for us to watch too. But the main thing is the history. This is such an unusual place and we had everything we needed to have a luxury and comfortable stay. It was also really quiet there. Thoroughly recommended, and we will be back. The Wye Valley is utterly beautiful - a newly discovered treasure for us. Juliet also runs excellent workshops, and it was that that made me aware of the Welsh Gatehouse.

United Kingdom | 15 January 2025We had a lovely few days at the Gatehouse and found the area delightful to visit. The Gatehouse is the perfect location to discover south Wales and surrounds. It is tastefully decorated and ideal for a couple looking to get away from it all.

United Kingdom | 15 January 2025Stayed at the gatehouse for my birthday. Absolutely loved the place. Cozy log fire with wood provided. We had a fabulous welcome basket left by the owners and they even offered a later checkout for my birthday. Quaint, charming, magnificent place. Felt like a princess in her tower. Would definately return.
