We used Worthpoint to research information about some items we found in the attic of our house and also were presented to us a "another man's garbage". Worthpoint was able to provide accurate information that proved to be very valuable in our discussion/negotiations. We found information that showed what this other person thought was garbage was actually fairly valuable. In summary their data and research is accurate and precise with a large database of information, including descriptions and pictures. For Customer Services, I would give 10 stars if possible. Their representatives go above and beyond, and match the quality of their web services. My experience with Melissa was outstanding, she provided REAL customer service with quick resolution. Literally was on the phone for about 7 minutes with her, and never once felt a tinge of anxiety over whether I would have the solution I hoped for. In summary 100 stars if I could! Great services - web and human!!!

I had a Subscription for two years. Someone from their accounting department called during the second year and asked to update my credit card information. I said no and said that I no longer wanted to renew my subscription. A month or so later they auto-renewed my membership and now will not refund the money. They have offered a partial refund and now even that did not go on my credit card. So I am out $199 for a service that I have not used and do not want any more. I keep getting the run around each time I call. Do not auto-renew if you use this website.

So many items! Started the trial to just look up some items my aunt gave me. Was hesitant to put my cc info in based on other reviews. Had no idea how much they were worth. I checked ebay but the items were hard to find since ebay only goes back so far. worthpoint helped me find things that had sold a couple of years ago. $19.99 was worth it to me.

Love being able to look up items on Worthpoint whether they're in my collection or I'm out shopping! Ya'll just saved me money on a painting that I liked, but it was overpriced. Thank you so much.

I am not sure who the target customer is for this service. Given that it markets itself as the largest resource for researching and valuing antiques and collectibles, it would appear that they are targeting dealers and appraisers of antiques and collectibles. However, I can't imagine any experienced dealer or appraiser finding this site useful. Worthpoint appears to be, for the most part, an amalgamator of eBay sales data for the past several years (though the most recent data still seems to be over a month old). They claim to have data from a limited number of auction houses, though no auction house results came up in any of my searches - despite the fact that other (free) auction data sites did have results for those same searches. In most (if not all) of my searches, I found all of the relevant information provided by worthpoint from other (free) online sources. In addition, I was able to find many more relevant results and more comprehensive data from other (again, free) auction data amalgamators, individual auction house websites, pinterest, and google. While the site does have a marks library, it is not searchable in any meaningful way (at least not for the $20 a month subscription) and it provides no details on the marks (though there is an option to upgrade which presumably includes more info?). So, at $20 a month (plus whatever the additional fees might be for the upgraded services), this service is overpriced by at least $19. I won't detail my experiences with the unprofessional, rude and/or non-responsive customer service, as it seems that's been covered pretty extensively by other reviewers here (and this review is long enough!) Finally, their business model, which requires customers to sign up for a paid service in order to receive a free trial, seems to rely on their customers failing to read the small print (and not realizing they need to cancel the paid service or incur automatic monthly paypal charges) and/or forgetting to cancel and/or just being too busy to pay attention. In general, I think that when any business requires customers to permit automatic payments in order to receive a free trial, it should really raise a red flag about the company and the service it provides. Whether it's a site that promises to match you with the best landscapers or provide you with the largest resource for researching antiques and collectibles, if the service has value, I think customers will happily purchase and pay for services when needed.

I use Worthpoint several times a week to establish a selling value for items that I bought as well as those that were gifts. It is a most valuable reference tool and easier to use than going to multiple sources. I wouldn't be without it for my downsizing efforts.

I'm not a member of Worthpoint, I haven't used it or it's free trial at all. I have been reading many of the reviews to decide if I do want to use it. It seems most are either 4, 5 or 1. Most of the 1'a revolve around the free trial. Maybe they've changed it because of these complaints but it states right at the top of the picking subscription page, "WorthPoint Helps You Find the Value of Your Antiques & Collectibles. Get Started for FREE. Pick your product! Free for 7 days or 7 price lookups. You'll only be billed if you continue the service without cancelling." Seems clear to me. Also some complained that after several product searches a box popped up saying basically, "to subscribe click to activate you PAID membership" Hmmm. PAID. Wonder what that means?: Some also complained about poor customer service. Guess what? The customer is not always right and can be rude, disrespectful. If you are those things from the get go why are you surprised when a human being on the other end of the line is the same? You should never (in any situation for the most part) go into it angry. Take a few deep breaths and call when you've calmed down a little.

Worthpoint excels with their customer service! I needed assistance in changing my account from one type to another and I reached Melissa O. on the phone. She was knowledgeable, polite, patient, extremely nice and represented Worthpoint to the highest level. Thank you for your assistance Melissa and thank you Worthpoint for being the 'Go To' resource for research on antiques and valuable treasures. P.S. Melissa is a Valuable Treasure/Asset too...do your best to keep her!

Charged my card for a service I did not use. Free seven day trial to see prices. Used the service to look up one price. Basically fraud, due to them making you put in your card for the "free trial." I will never use this service again.

I like Worthpoint… a lot! The only negative, but an important one, is that most items have EBay as the referenced point for its value. Worthpoint should offer a broader array of references to get a better estimate of what items are worth.

You will not be disappointed in this website. Research is a snap. The cost for all tools available will pay for itself in saved time and real time value of your item (s).

Was being charged monthly when my account was inactive, and no subscription was active. When I went to try to cancel my subscription, the only options were for me to resubscribe. No options whatsoever for cancelling service. They were happy to show me the options to the subscriptions they offered, but according to them the account was deactivated, yet they had charged me two days prior. Avoid this service. Ebay's "sold listings" is a far better service that doesn't charge, and has far more items in the recent market than notworthitpoint. Please, save your money and use a better service.

Charged for 2 months in 1 week contacted customer service 4 times still have not received reply or refund. Site is only good for average items no good for rare or unique items data base is full of repeat items. - After posting the first part of this review I was finally contacted by customer service given an apology and told my service would be turned back on until February since I was charged twice (it is December I ma writing this in). Over a week later and numerous emails my subscription has not been turned back on. Worst customer service ever.... Very disappointing.

I love the Worthpoint site for reference. You can get a true picture of what an item is worth. Not like Ebay, only 15 days worth. Worthpoint goes back a few years. It has helped me so much in my business. Wouldn't be without it. I would highly recommend.

Search results generally are to broad. If you search more specific terms, many times no results.

Charged $19.99 in JULY, 2 days earlier charged $9.99, as I had been every month since 2008. Charged $19.99 again in Dec along with $9.99. Called 3x and finally told them to cancel both subscriptions. No sure that has happen yet.

Customer service hung up on me. Upgraded service without permission, not good value for the money.

Worthpoint helped me immensely with finding great bargains for my vintage collectables. Not only did Worthpoint help me save money, they made the shopping experience much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this site to a friend.

I wasn't sure about this site at first but after speaking to a representative (Melissa), I felt much better. I was walked through each step without any conflict. Great representative
