Shocking to confirm a booking when actually they never had a car available - do not use !!!!

Booked taxis with this company to take me to and from a social event on Saturday. Outbound trip was booked for 6pm and return journey was booked for 11.15pm. First taxi arrived five minutes early with plenty of notice through a mobile notification saying it was arriving and a description of the vehicle. Nice driver and clean, comfortable car - no complaints. Second taxi turned up at quarter past midnight after me calling their customer services number several times to chase. The line seemed to be answered by a different person each time and the answer was nearly always “your driver is on the way” or “they are ten minutes away” (they clearly were not). Eventually, customer service told me that they had a shortage of drivers and they were “very busy”. They should have given me more notice about the issues and delays so I could have made alternative arrangements. The location I was in was quite isolated and I was effectively stranded. Also, if they’re busy they should make it their utmost effort to honour pre-booked trips. They even told me that my driver had been and gone and a second car had been dispatched. I find this unlikely as I was stood at the pick-up point from 11.10pm with a clear view of the approaching road. I would not use this company again. The drivers themselves seem fine and the driver on the return journey was sympathetic, but the people running this business need to get a grip. I was fortunate that this was just a social event, but if my booking was for something more time-sensitive like catching a flight, I would have been in trouble.

Pre booked an hour in advance. I’m away needed daughter to get to work. She went outside no cab. Called them they cancelled. DO NOT use. They will take money and then say no cabs available. Money goes back in no problem there but u won’t be able to find another cab elsewhere. This is the 2nd time this has happened. STOP taking prebookings if u don’t have cabs available. Never use app.

If the was a way to give no stars I would . They also use a booking company to get work and they accepted a job last night and blocked it so nobody else can book it so 10 mins before they are meant to arrive they cancel the booking.theyare absolutely useless and incompetent and I am now going to be late for work in London. If its not a airport run or local to them they don't want to know total amatures

Yet again., Western Cars didn’t turn up despite pre-booking and reserving money from my card. Totally unreliable. It’s about 1 in 2 that they actually turn up. Take your chances if you like!

The driver 352 was calling me 10 minutes before the time (4:30am)that we need to come out now as he is outside. Was rushing us with bags etc! The car was dirty. The driver wanted cash and didn’t have the card reader. The journey only took 15 minutes but he was answering the calls that he was running late for another pick up! I used this company often and this was the worst experience ever!

Thé driver was ten minutes late - not his fault, he had only been given the job 4 minutes before. However we had booked it the day before - plenty of time to ensure an on time pick up

Try to get a cab out of Uckfied lateish in the evening, all local operators were closed for business, but Western Cars took the job, no problems. They definitely have a work ethic, driver Sabbir was friendly and reliable. I can highly recommend this company

Cars frequently late. Controller does not pass on instructions. Used Barkers, who Western Cars bought, for 7 years without problems. Excellent. They have an issue with finding my address. No instructions passed to driver. Used circa 10 times. Problems with circa 8 journeys. Hopeless business.

Was ok but expensive and the driver was following a sat nav that sent him the wrong way three times. The driver was on time and polite but not especially friendly.

Dangerous Driving! Whilst 10 minutes into the journey the cab driver decided to stop on an unlit dual carriageway just after a round about to demand his money. He also was messing around with card readers, his mobile and money at this time. Cab drivers are supposed to abide by the law and ensure the safety of their passengers not put them in possible danger and make everyone in the car uncomfortable.

My suggestion is that you do not use this firm. Their booking system quotes wrong prices. Most concenring, they left my wife, at midnight, in a petrol station as she queried the fare (they wanted £80 when the booking said £55). They were also one hour late for the collection. Safeguarding is a key element of this service, and it was non existent here.

Is this some kind of a joke to you people in a Western cars??? Where is my refund. ??you service was appalling .. Unfortunately you have left me no choice but to contact trading standards. Again no response. Am expecting full refund. I really don’t have time to go back and fro with this. I have rung on 13.28 pm to get car for 14.45, if at any point agent told me that there would delays I would have organised something else. You left me totally stuck and with no communication. I HAD TO RING COMPANY, company did not ring me. It’s disgusting. I sent numerous emails to info email address and all I got was this Delivery incomplete There was a temporary problem while delivering your message to your email address Gmail will retry for 23 more hours. You'll be notified if the delivery fails permanently. Of course I took the car as I was desperate, my child was waiting for me at nursery and I was very stressed. Am expecting full refund not partial as you caused lot of stress and did not communicate nor arrived in time. My reference is 33963183A Still no refund from this company. I am utterly disgusted by how they treat their customers. They are very keen on booking but then they let you down. Before I take this further I am expecting my full refund for horrid service.

Absolutely appalling service, pre-booked a cab for tomorrow night last Monday only to be left a voice message (no email or whatsapp as previously communicated with) to be told my cab is now cancelled and this is 'usual protocol' i.e. taking more bookings than they can manage and cancelling the day before. I am now unable to travel where needed and cannot get another cab within less than 24 hrs notice. I shall be making colleagues and friends aware.

Have used Western Cars twice recently for return trips to Heathrow and Gatwick. Prices are very fair and cheaper than parking at either airport. Pick ups were on time and the return pick ups were well organised given that you're not entirely sure of the exact time you will finally get though customs etc. Good telephone system giving direct access to your driver and good text and email info too. Found vehicles we travelled in to be clean and drivers very polite. Was apprehensive for one pick up which was at 4am in the morning and called several times in advance to check the booking but I shouldn't have worried as the driver was there at 3:45am. Wouldn't hesitate to use Western Cars again.

Thank you Western Cars for the prompt response and to the drivers, one who picked me up from East Grinstead on time and got me to my appointment ahead of time and the driver(Fosol) who picked me up from my hospital appointment after I had to change pick times.

Fantastic service! Landed at Gatwick airport around 11.45pm last night (Sunday) and my local car service was not there. Found a local company on the Web called 'Western Cars', called and was promised a car in 10 minutes which it was, very professional driver, very nice car and just wanted to say thank you for getting me home so quickly.

I have a fairly old car, and I rushed to attend the first day of my placement at Crawley hospital. Unfortunately, my car broke down at Turners Hill and created an obstacle for me to be punctual on the first day of my placement. So, I decided to call the Western Cars Crawley to rescue me. I mentioned my urgent need for a taxi, and the operator was so polite and helped me by providing a taxi within no time. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the operator and the taxi driver for their service beyond the expectation.
