We researched several brands of sunscreen for health of ingredients, environmental impact, and effectiveness. Four brands met our standards and we ordered all four for a test. The Skyandsol product was so easy to apply, no white cast and felt great. I immediately noticed it was the only one we kept reaching for every day. I had never heard of it before, but I'm thrilled that it's good for me and safe for the lake life.

Not all reef safe sunscreens rub in easily like Sky & Sol does, without leaving a white cast. I love that it’s odorless and is easy on my sensitive skin.

I’m loving my Sky & Sol face and body sunscreen. The zinc absorbs fairly well on my skin, it feels like I have nothing on soon afterwards, there is no greasy feeling at all! I feel like my face is protected from the uva/uvb rays beautifully and I feel good about the clean ingredients I am putting on my skin. What I don’t love about the product is the packaging- the metal looking tube leaked out of the plastic cap during shipping.

On the fence I waffled between 3 and 4 stars. Positives - The white cast is definitely there (like all zinc sunscreen) but very minimal compared to other options. It sinks in quickly without being greasy and doesn't make me break out, even with breakout prone skin. Ingredient list is great. No sunburns! Cons - Really only one and it's that it smells like a chemical sunscreen which is weird for zinc. It does fade after a few hours but it's pretty abrasive for a while and I tend to reach for other options instead because of that. Editing to add - the metal tube is obnoxious. I'm all about sustainability but first time I opened it I lost 1/4 of the tube because it just kept oozing out no matter what I tried. Overall, I'm going to use up the rest of the tube and see if there are any positive changes in my skin. The smell puts me off but everything else about it is great, and I'm a huge tallow lover, so I may or may not reorder. The company itself seems good and it did arrive very quickly. Likes: Ingredients, most of the usage.

I thought I would try the sunscreen as an alternative to what I have used in the past, but was a little leery about how well I would be protected from the sun. Turns out I have purchased at least 15 tubes of the sunscreen this summer alone. It smells amazing, feels great on your skin, and best part of all you are covered for a majority of the day. I didn’t even feel the need to re-apply except on my face after a few hours. Love this product, thanks for creating it!!!

This is by far the best sunscreen I use. I was looking for a product with no chemicals & bought this & love it. It goes on similar to a lotion, it’s not greasy or sticky. It helps moisturize my skin & is easy to apply. The only sunscreen I will use! Great product.

I can stop looking for a clean sunscreen ! The SPF 50 Body and Face Sunscreen is the best non-toxic one I've found. Sky & Sol has worked hard to create a sunscreen that is non-toxic, but also doesn't leave a white cast. I think it smells good and rubs in well. I'm thrilled about the updated packaging! I believe it's a good amount for a reasonable price! Tell all your friends!!!

This is a really great sunscreen. It feels really light (especially on my face). I have very sensitive skin on my face and this product does not irritate. It is light and works well and smells good. It's pricey but worth it for the clean ingredients and the bottle is large!

I’ve been using this sunscreen for several months and my skin is very happy! Most sunscreen makes my skin feel like it’s on fire, but not this one! It feels moisturized and protected. That’s why I’ve reordered and will continue to do so!

I love that this sunscreen does not have any seed oils in it and is made from tallow. It is very moisturizing and allows me to tan without getting burnt. I’ve also used it on my very white husband and it protects him very well considering we live in hot & sunny SoCal.

It is a bit pricey, but this is the only sunscreen that I have found that I actually look forward to putting on every day. It feels like a moisturizer, and it absorbs quickly. I also have never gotten a sunburn since using it!
