United Kingdom | 29 May 2024We needed some gold leaf applied to three rows of decorative beading along with other intricate designs on a new French style headboard. From the start, Kevin was really helpful and during our discussions, he suggested that gold paint would be a cheaper alternative. I already had a length of wooden moulding and a sample of the painted and lacquered wood from the headboard and Kevin suggested I sent him those so he could apply three different gold paints for me to choose. I was pleased that one of the paints was almost identical to a light fitting I had gold plated. I was also amazed that he had been able to apply the paint to the heavily lacquered sample, I believe by some kind of surface preparation but how this was possible while leaving a completely straight line between the gold paint and the original lacquered finish I will never understand. The finished work was beyond our dreams, all of the intricate mouldings had been painted in several coats by hand but with machine precision. I cannot recommend ksrgilding highly enough and would not hesitate to use them again.
