United Kingdom | 27 January 2024I have been using the Frontier X for a few years and whilst I get a lot from it, I have experienced a few minor disruptions. What I particularly like is the speed of responsiveness of their customer support team. They are caring, curious and supportive. They want to help and to be of service. They want to get the matter resolved quickly and are keen to follow up to make sure I am happy. Thank you

United States | 27 January 2024As a lifelong endurance athlete, now in my early 70s, I continue to remain committed in performing at the top of my game. I also have a family history of heart rhythm issues and recently began to experience episodes of very high heart rates during exercise which introduced a second challenge of exercising in a safe and healthy way. With the Fourth Frontier X2 I found a very effectiv e way to manage both. First I can share an ECG of high HRM episodes with my Cardiologist no matter when they occur (which is always during a workout). Second, I can identify when I had an issue and relate it to what I was doing at that exact moment, which can help me identify factors that may be triggers. The X2 has several tools that help me plan and measure my workouts. Overall the X2 has been a great help for planning workouts and identifying results. On top of all that, the Fourth Frontier team is very knowledgeable and supportive. So that's it, the X2 is great technology supported by a great team!

United Kingdom | 23 January 2024This is a magnificent piece of kit and quite unlike other HRMs I have used. Recently I experienced a problem with it and their support were all over it really quickly and I was up and running again the following day.

United Kingdom | 19 January 2024Having been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, I was looking for a way to safely continue with my exercise regime. The Frontier X product combined with their weekly monitoring programme have turned out to be perfect for me. I now know much more about how my heart reacts to the stress and strain of exercise, and when I’m pushing too hard. I have nothing but good words to say about this company and especially their ‘cardiac coaches’ and their technical support team.

Canada | 19 January 2024At 742$ (CDN), the X2 device is a poor choice HRM for sports. It is not compatible with Ant+ devices (at that price point its incomprehensible when most cheaper alternatives support both Ant+ and Bluetooth). And even with BLE, there are plenty of communication issues. The FF website says it's compatible with Zwift, but it is not the case, support replayed its a known issue and they working actively to resolve it with Zwift. Why is there an issue in the first place, when you use open standard communication protocols and claim to be compatible trird party software ? A sub 100$ Ant+ and Bluetooth compatible HR monitor will perform better for a fraction of the cost. If you are looking for an ECG device, there are also 139$ options out there.

United States | 17 January 2024Customer service at Frontier has been top-notch. They are quick to respond, professional, knowledgeable and looking to resolve any issues. I am also very happy with the Frontier X2 HRM. It connects seamlessly to my Garmin 955.

United Kingdom | 10 January 2024Rubbish product. Avoid. Sometimes turns on, sometimes doesn't. Takes numerous attempts to reset it. Sometimes connects to the app, sometimes doesn't. For the cost of it I'd expect far better. Save your money and get a cheap chest heart rate monitor from amazon

United Kingdom | 09 January 2024I purchased an X1 in November 2021 after a heart scare. At 1st i was impressed but within a few weeks the issues crept in and then the device broke within a year even with light indoor-only use. A replacement X2 was sent out as it was still within warranty however 13 months after getting the replacement (by which point i was using the strap very infrequently due to numerous issues) the same issue happened with the X2 where it pretty much fell apart within the monitor. Customer service have taken 5 months to tell me there is nothing they will do as it's out of warranty now so I'm left with a useless bit of kit which I'm unable to repair or recycle and it's been a complete waste of money. The app works poorly, the device doesn't appear to have a way to switch off so i ended up having to charge it before each use, the data refresh was unacceptable when i 1st got it but has improved with software updates since. Beware the claims of intelligent analysis of your workouts, the feedback is very very basic and gives no real insight in to your fitness or training. Edit: since writing the review here the company reviewed my issue and provided a replacement.

United Kingdom | 08 January 2024I initially wrote a review giving this a one star. It was reliable in its unreliability and I had difficulties getting through to customer service. Customer services did eventually get in touch and were as helpful as they could be. They sent out a second device, which unfortunately still had issues. Following a software update, these do seem to have been resolved apart from the issue of the app not showing the correct battery level when the device is recording. That said, I'll review how the product works (or not) for me. The marketing seems to aim at both the extreme fitness community (of which I'm not able to comment on the appropriateness of the device), and the heart health community. When I purchased the device I was looking for something that could record ECGs for 24 hours. I liked that it also recorded my breathing and at first glance, it seemed to identify any arrythmias which was important for me. I have now given it a good try. The recording is now reliable and I can download 3 hour episodes of ECG on PDF which is useful. When I took these to the cardiologist he questioned whether there was any arrythmia identification or was it just left up to me to guess what was important. This is where the device falls down. I had a Kardia device which would identify specific arrythmias, but was limited to a 5 minute recording when sat still. This device does seem to do a lot, but why there is no AI interpretation of arrythmias, I don't know. What it picks up as different beats are usually normal ectopics but it seems to miss other issues such as atrial flutter, AF, SVTs etc. I don't want to become an ECG expert to know when something needs bringing to a cardiologist. I expect the device to pick these things up and inform me, which this doesn't. For me, I'm not sure this device gives what I need. Perhaps it should focus on the fitness market alone.

United States | 06 January 2024This is an excellent product and provides insightful data on cardiovascular health during exercise. It integrates well with the iPhone and Garmen products. I have been using this for over a year for cycling and running. They redesigned the charging port which is an improvement over an earlier design.

United States | 05 January 2024Fourth Frontier is the best invention I have come across since sliced bread. As an athlete who underwent open heart surgery in 2019, I was thrilled to know about this new heart rate monitor. I have tried all the new wearables available in the market, but the wrist or ring versions didn't work well for me. However, this wearable chest strap is the most accurate among all the ones I have tried, with several unique features that others don't have. The real-time ECG reading while doing sports is a game-changer. Moreover, their customer service is excellent, and they have always been prompt in answering my queries.

France | 05 January 2024I have been utilizing the Frontier X2 for more one year and it is really a great product. Due to Tachycardia issues, I now feel very confident when I'm doing training activities and even races. Esay to sync with Fourth Frontier and Garmin apps. I've had challenges with the firmware last year. Good support team, quick reply, easily accessible, and very helpful. I recommend it

Canada | 04 January 2024This product worked well, though required many resets over the 13 months that it worked. Unfortunately the hardware ceased to work after 14months of daily use and the company would not replace as it was out of 12 months warranty. Unacceptable for a product of this cost, downloading the QA risk on customers. The support ticket is: #64909 (Sneha Snetty). Update to 4 stars from one, New replacement unit has arrived and is functioning, thank you for your customer recovery.

United States | 31 December 2023I have been utilizing the Frontier X2 for about 11 months and I really like it. I like the ease of use and that it offers continuous ECG data collection for as long as I want (typically many hours). I can then access and view ECG reports that are automatically created and accessible from the phone app and also via a web browser. The support from Fourth Frontier is also good and responsive.

India | 29 December 2023Have been leading an active lifestyle with Tachycardia but never had a device which does ECG on the move plus all other watch-based HR readings were inaccurate. Mighty pleased with FX2 I can say with confidence that this is not just a simple heart-monitor but the most accurate life changing device I have been using. It increases your confidence and monitoring capability immensely.

United Kingdom | 05 December 2023I'm thrilled I chose the Fourth Frontier device over others I researched more than 2 years ago. It's proven to be reliable with excellent battery life, providing comprehensive heart data for monitoring. Whether I'm cycling, running, swimming, or tracking my sleep due to a heart condition, the device has enhanced my understanding of my heart's performance in relation to various factors. Recently, I faced my first issue in over 2 years, where workout data wasn't syncing. The support team promptly guided me through a device reset, resolving the problem efficiently.During an overseas trip, I forgot my device, and the team reached out, demonstrating exceptional customer support by checking on my well-being. Over time, I've observed continuous improvements, such as integration with Google Fit and Strava, allowing me to track workouts seamlessly. The device's price is justified by its features. My only suggestion would be to enable GPS tracking on the device itself, without the need to activate the app on my phone during cycle rides.

United States | 29 November 2023I love this device. Despite the fact that it stopped syncing data after only 15 months, the company did all it could to help me and made me a great offer to replace it. I did not take them up on their offer, because I was able to buy it from Amazon with a 3 yr warranty for just a bit more. I'm hopeful that this new unit will last longer than 15 mos, but with the warranty, I no longer care. Either way, the data has been very helpful with my training routine and overall health monitoring. The ECG is a game changer that I believe no one else has.
