Great gates. I chose to finish them myself and it was the right choice for us because it enabled us to see the gates in situ and try several finishes before making a final decision. One negative was that the gate posts, at 2.4m, seemed not substantial enough to support the weight of freestanding gates - a choice of 3m or 3.4 m would have been appreciated. But great, quality gates.

I was in shock when I have received gates delivery from WortleyBrothersWoodenGates! As it was more than I was expecting, gates arrived very high quality. And it mached everything perfectly. Also website is really easy to use, as it everthing very clear explained. I can highly recommend if you are looking for gates!!!

Many thanks for the great craftsmanship on the front gate. Delivered with care in a Wortley Brothers van all the way to Bath. It really enhances the look of the house and has already attracted compliments from our friends and neighbours. The professional who fitted our gate wanted to know who I had ordered them from; he too was very impressed with the quality and finish of the timber. Built to last!

We were kept informed of the delivery of our gates. They arrived on time and undamaged. They are well made and look beautiful. We have received numerous compliments in how wonderful they look. We are very pleased with them.

I've been very impressed with our Wortley Brothers transaction. Their website is genuinely easy to use and left me confident in the end product, which wasn't the case with others. They sent me a delivery window of 1 week straight after ordering, which was impressive given the approx. 12 week lead time. This was narrowed down to a few days, then an exact day, in plenty of time before delivery week. They hit the stated delivery day. The gate itself is fantastic; no comparison at all with gates from the big sheds etc. To be fair, the price is much higher but you can see where your money has gone. It is much thicker, the joints are perfect, the planking is joined smoothly and the whole thing gives off a a sense of being a solid, long-lasting product. It's like the door from a cathedral. Not the cheapest way to block a path down the side of your house, but I genuinely enjoy using and looking at it...daft thing to say about a gate, but it's a lovely bit of work.

The whole process from ordering to delivery was excellent we were kept informed of the progress of the order, the delivery driver phoned when he was about an hour from our house. He unloaded them into our garage and couldn’t have been more helpful. The gates are beautifully made and we get so many comments on them and people asking where they came from. We have no hesitation telling them as we know if they place an order they will be as pleased as we are with ours.

From the moment we ordered our gates through a very simple but very explanatory website they gave a delivery date three months hence and stuck to it. The quality is excellent, The fixings are extra strong and easy to fit and the gates are of fantastic quality. These are pure quality gates, haven't got to hang them yet, but can see they will look great. Quantity workmanship. Ordering & delivery faultless.

Excellent quality workmanship. The ability to specify your own measurements and the custom made doors are millimetre perfect makes integrating them in to your property much easier. These were recommended to me by a neighbour. Excellent communications on delivery progress and for the delivery driver nothing was too much trouble.

Can not recommend the team highly enough, they were with us all the way from helping us initially measure our gates to ensure we got the exact fit, in sending samples to help ensure we got the right stain applied. When the gates arrived they sent a note to ask if they arrived all ok, and then even helped when we had a query with one of the brackets. Would use them again for sure!

The ordering process is - as far as I'm aware - unique, making the gate design fit exactly what is needed, but also clear and simple to use. I was provided with timely and detailed status on the manufacturing and delivery schedule. The gate was delivered in a Wortley Brothers van, carefully packed and supported, very helpful driver, within about 15 minutes of the predicted time! As for the gate itself - "work of art" best describes it - beautifully designed, made and finished, very sturdy. The ironmongery pack and lock ordered with it are of very high quality. Now I've just got to wait for some better weather and a slot in *my* schedule to actually fit it. Many thanks all!

Really smart gates and lots of choice available.

Paid 800.00 for gates and asked for gates to be treated especially in this weather, came untreated and they are not concerned in the slightest now I've got to try and keep them dry from the elements won't be recommending this company to anyone
