Recently went through my Harvard conversion training at T-6 Harvard Ltd. Even though flying this big, radial engined beauty doesn't come cheap it was worth every single penny: the aeroplane is immaculate and very well looked after by the best warbird engineering firm in the business (no expenses spared here!) while the people managing the operations are probably the most warm and friendly "Brits" I've ever met. Dave and Andy were super helpful in arranging a slot of 5 days for me to complete my conversion during the very few HP days that Airline Flying allows during peak season. Of these 5 days, 4 were spent flying, with Dave coaching me through all the peculiar characteristics of the Harvard, both on ground and in flight, slowly helping building my confidence in this lovely flying machine in a precise and non-intrusive way: at the end of these days I was sunburnt like an idiot, confident in the aircraft, and with a massive grin on my face that still refuses to go away...two weeks later! So, if you are lucky enough to have bought one and need dual instruction or if you are a bored Airbus driver (like me) looking for a challenge to spark-up the flame of passion that only flying "proper aeroplanes" gives well, look no further: this is the place for you! "Tally-ho!"

What a fantastic experience after booking arriving at Old warden airshow on 4th June my first pit stop was the t6harvard ltd stall to book my flight that day. I'm so glad I did, the whole experience was amazing and my pilot James was a pleasure to fly with and gave great commentary with the history of what what young pilots went through during the 1940's. Definitely recommend the battle of britain flight, the twists and turns and experiencing the g force of simulating active combat was a feeling I will never forget and the fun of both me and the pilot automatically shouting dagger dagger dagger while attacking the clouds just made this flight as comical as well as exhilarating. Many thanks again again to James and Mike from the ground crew. Go team wabbit

I went with my 88 year old Dad to a fantastic air show at the Shuttleworth Collection today (4.6.23) He used to fly and out of the blue said would I like to take a trip in the Harvard. I said yes but had no idea until I was sat behind the pilot quite what it entailed. It was the most extraordinary experience but not perhaps for the obvious reasons. Was it exciting, unique and a brilliantly skilled acrobatic display of a beautiful aircraft? Yes, but it was also moving, emotional and poetic. The team who fly, maintain the craft and promote events to literally keep her in the sky, do so out of their huge passion. It was this passion that came across from the moment we chatted on the ground to when I stepped out onto the wing after being flown, rolled and arc-ed in her. The wonderful pilot who took me up, told of those who had flown her during the war, how they might have felt, how vulnerable they were, how brave. It was this combination of the beauty of the aircrafts engineering, the extraordinary experience of the flight and the acrobatics and the profound history of when and who had flown her, that made this experience so unique. I am so grateful to my Dad for his generous treat, and I am hugely grateful to those who flew her then and those who keep her flying now. Thank you.

What a wonderful day. What a pleasure to fly in the Harvard. From the moment I arrived at the airfield I was so well treated by all concerned, the owner of the aircraft, the pilot, and the ground crew, they made a great day special. Also many thanks to Donny who stepped in as my photographer so I have some special pictures of the day.

I had a great flight with Andrew in the vintage Auster AOP6 from Fowlmere. I sat in the left hand seat so my viewpoint would have been very similar to the viewpoint my father experienced when he was flying these aircraft 70 years ago in Malaya. However, I was glad that Andrew and I were flying over the pretty Cambridgeshire countryside and not over the dense Malayan jungle! A great flight experience and highly recommended!

My wife bought me this experience, the Battle of Britain Simulation flight, for my birthday and from the moment I found out what I would be flying in I was over the moon. We arrived nice and early but unfortunately the low cloud base at Fowlmere had us grounded for a few hours. Adam, Dave, and Kev were as accommodating and apologetic as it was possible to be, keen to keep me at the top of the roster where I'd originally booked. We chatted all things aviation while we waited for the clouds to part and I could tell I would be in safe hands. The guys were more than happy for me to photograph the aircraft from every possible angle, and went into great detail explaining the devices and instrumentation. The clouds parted just after lunch and I got the thumbs up. I climbed into the cockpit as Dave ran the warm-up routines, explaining what he was doing the whole time. I had a headset and microphone so could hear him clearly over the Pratt and Whitney Wasp engine as it roared into life. We took off over the fields of Buckinghamshire, Dave explained the scenario we would be simulating and how important the plane and the base were during the war effort. Dave handed me control of the plane and had me do some basic pitching and rolling, before taking it back and showing me just how nimble this vehicle was. We pulled over 3g in some of the maneuvers, including barrel rolls and loops. All the whlle Dave was narrating a scene from one of the many combat sorties the pilots flew during the war. At one point while I had control the cloud base seemed to drop suddenly, leaving me with no visibility; Dave quickly took control and got us back to safety. This was a truly thrilling experience, especially for an aviation enthusiast. The whole set up was so efficient and welcoming and I would recommend this activity to anyone.

As a air-to-air photographer, planning and executing an air to air shoot can be quite difficult. But let me tell you this: at no moment did I fear the shooting was not going to happen. We had multiple plans and guess what? Everything turned out perfectly! Of course it is very weather dependent, like with all vintage aircraft but everything was literally perfect. Piloting the Harvard we have James Hepnar, a talented Pilot and a certified "Wabbit" who managed to hold the formation just perfectly. The Communication and organizing with the ground crew was also flawless. I wouldn't change a thing no doubt. But even if you want to book a flight in it: its 100% worth it. If you get the chance to do aeros or the battle of britain experience - go for it.

I bought the Battle of Britain experience for my partner as a Christmas present. He is a trained pilot but hasn’t flown for a few years. A fight on the T6 at Shuttleworth Airshow made it the perfect treat. We were greeted with a warm welcome and clear expectations of what to expect. The smile on Richard’s face when he landed said it all. James did a great job in tailoring the experience based on Richard’s experience and was reassuring and entertaining throughout the flight. A shout out to the ground crew too who took me under their wing and looked after me whilst my partner was in the air. Would recommend to anyone with a passion for flight/planes and let’s help keep these lovely old planes flying.

The pilot and ground crew were really friendly and helpful. The Texan is easy to get in and comfortable. Loved the flight, James the pilot inspired confidence. We did some exciting manoeuvres, including rolls, and I was given control of the stick for some basic flying ,..which I guess counts as my first flying lesson. All in a 20 minute flight! I will be back! Highly recommended!

I've flown a lot in the past, but not had an experience like the one in the T-6 before. Such an amazing piece of engineering. The flight was great, I opted for the aerobatics bolt on. James, the pilot, had great knowledge of the aircraft and the maneuvers the aircraft would have performed during WW2. Brilliant flight and communication from James made the flight even more enjoyable. Thank you!

I have to write to say what a great experience this was for my dad. As a milestone birthday for him we decided to book the Battle of Britain experience. Adam Lacey our pilot with total professionalism and a really lovely friendly guy to boot, took him through his mission and he took controls and really enjoyed the whole experience so much. It’s hard to put into words when you see an old grump become a ten year old boy…… The aircraft, the photo opportunities and the HD footage available was amazing. And a shout out to Kevin for his accommodating knowledge of the nuts and bolts behind it all while we were waiting for him. Whole heartedly recommend. Very personal experience to the point we’re you feel like your meeting up with old mates.

Battle of Britain Experience Harvard Flight Quite simply one of the best experiences I've had in my '## something' years !! I have studied the Battle of Britain period throughout my adult life and read copious amounts of books and documents and watched many films and documentaries, but taking to the skies from a Battle of Britain airfield in a Harvard and having a detailed commentary from my pilot ( the amazing D-J ) and actually feeling the g-forces from the same evasive manoeuvres experienced by those few was a whole new world of appreciation. However, history geek aside, as someone that just loves flying, this was simply the best. I haven't stopped smiling since getting airborne. I only wished it had lasted longer and I will definitely be booking again. Everyone from the team was fantastic, and it felt more like a day out with friends. If you love aviation, if you are interested in history or if you simply want to remind yourself what fun is, this is for you. Thank you to all of the team and especially the star - Wacky Wabbit

An asolutely brilliant experience and I couldn't recommend it enough! The whole team were friendly and happy to answer any questions, my pilot James Hepnar was absolutely fantastic. He talked me through the aircraft before getting in and explained everything in the cockpit to me when I was inside. The flight was exactly what you'd expect a warbird to be, addictive and fun! We did a mock dog fight and he showed me what the T6 can really do - if you're thinking about doing it then just go for it, you'll never regret it.

I had surprise present of a 25 minute flight with David recently, and it was nothing short of incredible. The aerobatics we performed were extremely fun, and to be able to do these loops over my house was an added bonus! Learning of all the people that saw the little airshow we put on over Upwell and Gorfield was an extra thrill after the flight which i would most definitely do again and highly recommend. David's knowledge of the Harvard's history as we taxied across Fenland's airfield was amazing and really set you back in time when you took off and began the manoeuvres. As someone who wishes to become a pilot in the future, this experience was a perfect way to make me realise that flying is definitely for me, and that one day i hope to take 'The Wacky Wabbit' into the skies myself!

Had a day out at fenland today, we arrived to find the wacky wabbit was there normally seen at Duxford, David was there with his team allowing people an experience flight in a proper warbird the Harvard. I was all over it like a rash, and awaited my turn. And what an experience, David talks you through what it was like to be a young pilot during the war, he prepares you for what they would have experienced, and then he takes you up, constantly explaining what was happening, the enemy were everywhere, and we had to avoid their attack, rolling , looping , barrel rolling, it was outstanding, he even let me fly it, yes I flew a Harvard. I also received a video of the dog fight, which shows exactly what we did. I can not recommend this enough, they have a variety of experiences to choose from, they also do experience flights in a chipmunk. Can’t wait to go back, it was a true adrenaline rush. Thanks David 👍
