The company seems to not exist anymore which is a bummer because my Rancilio Silvia just started to have issues (some kind of leaking inside) about a year after purchase and I can’t reach out to them.

Was a little apprehensive after seeing some of the other reviews....but went for it anyway and purchased a pavoni and grinder. Paid a little extra for the faster delivery but this new europe import thing makes it slow anyway so not sure its worth it / what difference it makes. Took a week from purchase to delivery, but all arrived in branded boxes and with a UK plug cover/adaptors over the euro plugs (which is fine by me). Machines are a beautiful addition to my kitchen as i begin my journey in the art of manual lever coffee making.

Worst company ever! He sent us a broken machine. We sent it back but he is not accepting the delivery so it’s stucking somewhere in spain and we don’t get the refund. Don’t buy there!!!

Terrible company. Problem with a previous order of a spare part where they sent me the wrong item so I can't use it. Admittedly I ordered it in 2019, but since I had superglued the broken part and refitted it by the time the spare arrived, I decided to store it for when I eventually needed it. Now I do, and only now did I discover that Myespresso sent me the wrong part back in 2019. Bloke on the phone with South African accent is in Spain, tells me it's tough, I have to buy a new one (his price has increased 60% since summer 2019). He goes on to explain the company I bought it from has since closed down, and what he operates as "myespresso.co.uk" is a different company but just the same domaine name. It's not just the domaine name as it's written all over the website! More like he just didn't want to help. I asked him if he could do anything about the cost or shipping as a goodwill gesture and he just said no. He was rude and condescending. No wonder there's so many 1* reviews. If 0* was possible, I'm sure there would be plenty of those too! AVOID. No doubt they will respond rubbishing this review, but over 60% 1* reviews speaks for itself!!!

UPDATE Shortly after purchase my Rocket machine started leaking. After discussing with Peter and trying his suggested troubleshooting, I decided to take my machine to a locally based dealer - I live in Edinburgh and Peter’s UK based service centre is based in the South of England. As a result, I felt more comfortable hand delivering my machine locally versus entrusting it with a courier company and potential damage in transit. I would choose this option every time. Long story short, the water tank was cracked. Rocket agreed to replace this for free but the suggestion put to me was that my machine was considered a ‘grey import’ ie a machine close to the end of its warranty period and in effect the warranty was worthless. I CANNOT SUBSTANTIATE THIS. I had to pay my local dealer’s standard fee to service the machine (£60 +VAT). I agree with Peter’s response below, this charge is excessive. Under the circumstances I didn’t have many options. When I initially contacted Peter re reimbursement of the labour costs, he suggested the company I dealt with (the myespresso company) had folded, even though the website was still trading. Eventually Peter agreed to reimburse 50% of the labour costs, which is appreciated. Per the below, Peter suggests there is no such thing as a ‘grey import’ and Rocket are still supplying myespresso, I cannot substantiate this either, similar to the local dealer’s claim above. It is for you the consumer to decide and I am relaying my experience. It is difficult to quantify my experience, really happy with my Rocket machine on the one hand but mindful there’s been a few hiccups along the road. I live in hope there’s no more. Original Review: Felt obligated to leave a review here alongside some of the horror-shows below, to give some much needed balance! I can only comment on my own experience and not what has gone before, especially around Brexit and the treatment of VAT on orders. Nor what was / wasn’t clearly displayed on the website. Fact check - for me it was clearly indicated VAT wasn’t included on my order and that there would be an import charge. Peter notes this is capped at €60? It is also easy to establish he is based in Spain (contact us) section. Based on some skewed reviews below, with some trepidation I placed my order for a Rocket Mozzafiato espresso machine. Placed last Sunday night, it arrived into the UK on Friday, FedEx emailed me twice to confirm receipt and I duly had to pay £48 import charges. FYI - ALL I PAID ON TOP OF THE PRICE ADVERTISED WAS £48. FedEx delivered the machine to me today, 7 days after initial order. Peter replied to any query I had in a timely, succinct manner. As a result, I cannot fault the service thus far (it has only been a short space of time). Keen observers should be able to calculate the cost of my machine is an absolute steal versus the UK RRP £1,600. Buying sundry items e.g. coffee may be expensive owing to import tax, larger ticket items (in my limited experience) much cheaper.

Shop with this company at your peril. Pay a little more to buy from a reputable supplier so you don't have to deal with the sort of expensive fiasco I've gone through. I've learned my lesson. Bought grinder, they did not discount border charges as promised, so I had to pay them. They did refund these quickly when I complained, and it was just after UK left EU... so - not impressed but at least they sorted that. BUT the grinder is very clearly a damaged returned factory second, previously used and it turns out dangerously faulty. My Espresso have spent six months denying the product was missold, refuse to facilitate returning the item (to Spain), and refuse refund without it. They owe me the money and it's been a real admin nightmare. Plus I still don't have a coffee grinder. My patience with them is long, long spent, and I'm kicking off Court proceedings to get my money back.

The purchasing process went fine but the after-sales service is appalling. The attitude of the person was more of a 'why are you bothering me?' than 'how can I help you?' A coffee machine that I purchased less than a year ago, and should still be under warranty, is not working and none of the reluctant advice I was given has had any impact. I was given no information about how to go further with this or how to get it fixed under warranty. Now they seem to be uncontactable. If you are buying a coffee machine I would not recommend this company.

Yup. So they say they will charge you X. And then after you give your details they tell you about the additional £20 import fee and 20% tax....

I’ve read the reviews and was a bit unsure. But I have to say it clearly states you will have to pay tax on the website. My machine in total with tax cost £440. £365 on the website. The same machine is £600 at selfridges. I suppose you could argue it’s easier to return if there’s a problem. But I haven’t tried the after sales service yet. It arrived after five or six days. It got held up at stanstead customs. So all in all a good service so far. The machine was in excellent condition in unopend la Pavoni box. Hope this helps in your choice.🙂

This company is based in Spain not in the Uk, When you receive your order FedEx ( not their fault) Will present you with a large bill for import duties . No where on myexpresso states you are liable for these charges and customer service is Zero . Save yourself time , money and a headache just buy from a reputable uk company not a tax dodger

Like so many reviews here, AVOID this company like the plague!!! This man is clearly clueless about customer service, has no interest in clarifying the full charges, but instead expects you to search around his website to find that this “UK-based” company is now in Spain (even though all prices are still quoted in GBP). You must then suck out of thin air that this now involves import taxes (charged to you by FedEx). He thinks it’s okay to include minimal information on his site and get his customers to just guess what their final price will actually be. (Tip to the owner: JUST MAKE IT USER FRIENDLY, it’s not that hard). Rather don’t respond to this message Pete from MyEspresso. I’ve read all the other reviews and you don’t need to waste your time writing the same worthless excuses. I sincerely hope future customers read this so they can avoid making the mistake so many of us already have. There is a good reason this company is rated so poorly on google reviews and trustpilot.

AVOID - Similar to others I have been stung by My Espresso. They have relocated to Spain apparently, without informing their customers or updating their website. Ordered in feb and it took over a month to arrive and cost me £70 in import duty. The owner refused to accept the return and I’m left to suck it up. Main point is that tax (VAT) duty and fees are payable by UK customers. Don’t be fooled by the .co.uk web domain or email address, or the UK number listed in their website. There is no obvious communication to customers that VAT is payable during the checkout process - the owner seems to hang off the fact that a small sentence on the website absolves him for any misunderstanding customers might have. Additionally the owners customer service skills and poor at best. This is evident from his poorly worded responses to the other identical reviews to mine. For clarity BORIS did relocate myespresso to Spain and did hide the fact from myespresso customers that VAT is payable.

I ordered a coffee machine, £495 plus £15 postage and delivery, on Mar 17th ... foolishly thinking it would be delivered to me. Then a day later I got a text from FedEx asking for £114.06 to cover import taxes etc. (ie an extra 23%). I declined to pay and the next day I cancelled the order, asking for a refund from Myespresso. After numerous emails and a wait of over 32 days I got my full refund. I blame Brexit and a bloated tub of lard who negotiated a 'fantastic' exit deal for the UK.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID Not only did it take weeks and weeks to receive my order (after stating ‘in stock’ on the website) I then received a Duty Invoice from FEDEX for £92. Obviously this wasn’t mentioned when I placed the order although I now gather a notice is on the website retrospectively. I tried to resolve with Myespresso but was fobbed off. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Mine is the same as the previous review. I’ve used them for a number of years and just made a repeat order of coffees beans I never looked at the address of the company, why would I I’ve never had a problem before or ever paid duty. As far as I could see it was the same as before. Uk phone number, payment in £s all the same. Then I get the £19.10 duty fee. Any good business of quality service that valued its customers would have emailed existing customers telling them that they had fled the UK and point out that they will be ripped off if they make a purchase. Why would anyone buy coffee beans directly from a conman in Spain. What an idiot I was! UPDATE Ha Ha Thanks for the great reply Peter What I expected. A good example of a person who doesn’t give a dam about his customers. Well done

AVOID, AS YOU WILL BE CHARGED ALMOST 30% MORE THAN ADVERTISED. Be aware that all prices on this website are excluding taxes. You will be charged vat + import duty as products are shipped from Spain; in my case this was 27% increase over the stated price. There was no indication when I placed the order for a grinder that the price was ex vat. I was surprised, to say the least, when I received a demand for £47.69 from FedEx to be paid before delivery will be scheduled. This addition makes the final cost of the grinder £35 more than UK supplies. There is now a notice that prices are ex tax on the home page. This was not the case when I placed my order. This is a recent addition to avoid responsibility. All marketing indicates that this is a UK based business: google page lists the company in UK. The website is .co.uk. Yes, the address is Spain on the web page but Google page states a UKaddress! The telephone nos are UK 0800 and UK landline. The home page now states ‘All items for UK Customers will not pay the VAT, it will be deducted on checkout pages.’ There was no deduction on the checkout when I purchased clearly indicating that this statement is a very recent addition to the webpage. This practice is deliberately misleading practice. Fortunately I took screen shots of the pages when I placed my order illustrating very recent changes in a vain attempt to cover up misleading pricing information on this website. Also prices have been adjusted in the last week in an attempt to confuse. This is nothing short of shoddy business practice and is NOT a UK based business. This man is a shark AVOID AVOID AVOID J Hutchings UPDATE Today I have a more detailed breakdown of the Fedex charged taxes:- £35.69. Import tax £12.00. Payment processing fee =£47.69 in addition to 165 for the grinder. The grinder is now being held in Fedex depot pending further shipment details. This company misleads and in actual fact was wound up last summer but still trades under the same name. It purports to be a .co.uk business and lists a uk telephone number high on the webpage. All prices are in GBP with no mention of them being ex tax until the invoice is sent by email and the dispatch is underway. The website has recently been ‘updated’ to state that the tax will be deducted at checkout. A dummy purchase proved this to be incorrect. These are my experiences and this man is in breach of UK consumer law. AVOID THIS COMPANY. My response. I stand by my review. The website has been changed very recently; google search gives this company in Coventry; etc neither does the stated pricing nor the checkout state that vat is not being charged Thus was a UKcompany and has recently relocated to Spain but still trades as if it’s still a UK operation. Final comment upon delivery:- IN THE INTEREST OF FAIRNESS I received the Eurika Mignon Crono grinder today. Delivery delayed but this is a Brexit and FedEx issue. The grinder is excellent. Just as described, if not better. Price and initial communication were an issue but hopefully this review and the website amendments have created a more transparent understanding of the final price to pay. In todays market it is vital to not only offer an excellent product but to also deliver a flawless purchasing experience which meets or exceeds expectations.

BUYER BEWARE! IMPORT CHARGES WILL BE LEVIED I have been buying coffee beans from MyEspresso for the last 7 years. It would appear though that over winter the business has been relocated from Coventry to Spain. Though there was nothing on the website to indicate that this was the case. In my last order I noticed that delivery charges had increased. When I received the goods it became apparent why - they had been shipped from Spain!. 3 or 4 days later I received an Duty and Tax Invoice from Fedex for the import of these beans. At the time of purchase there was nothing on the website to indicate that additional charges would be levied (or that shipping would be international). I have forwarded this invoice to MyEspresso - expecting them to pick up this cost - but as yet have not heard back. I've also emailed Fedex to say that I believe MyEspresso should be liable for these charges.

Eureka Mignon Specialita Chrome. Received my order on the 8th day after dispatch due to Covid/Brexit procedures delays, but satisfied with the purchase experience as the seller dispatched the next day, provided the tracking number and was responsive on the email.

I was recommended this web shop by a friend and was a little concerned given the reviews here. However I had a very prompt reply to my enquiry about stock and extremely quick delivery of my order so I am happy.
