I have used Upkaar from the British Safety Council for City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and City & Guilds Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice, and he has been brilliant. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that wishes to study for health and safety qualifications. Great support.

Upkaar supported me throughout the process and provided a timely response to queries I had. Unfortunately, I had an initial set back where my Assessor wasn’t responding to me in a timely manner. After 5 months, I made a complaint to Upkaar and he dealt with it immediately, assigned me a new Assessor. Unfortunately, my new assessor wasn’t content with my work to date and required me to discard my previous work and start again. Upkaar kindly restarted my two year time limit, as I had lost the 5 months. Harry Storrow was my Assessor and he was very supportive and timely in his responses. I am very grateful for Harry’s support during my two years with him.

Really good throughout the course , supported all the way through although some bad news was had midway through :( - but the support still carried on throughout the course , would recommend !

As a student on the NEBOSH general certificate course I would like to say that Helene Wood and Matthew Peers have been fantastic offering support and guidance along the way. They make you feel comfortable to address concerns and worries and are excellent and knowledgeable mentors. I suffer with exam pressure nerves and can honestly say they have really helped with going over my exam technique and practice offering valuable resources and information as well as taking the time to check mock exam answers both on and off the course via one to ones and group.

I completed my NVQ Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety with British Safety Council. The support I received whilst undertaking the course was excellent, the online system was easy to use and I had sufficient time to complete the course alongside my full time job. I would definitely recommend British Safety Council as a training provider.

I would like to say that the people at BSC have been fantastic during my journey Upkarr Bharadia could not do enough for you throughout the course as well as my assessor Rebecca Brooks who was fantastic. I set myself a goal of completing my diploma in 7 months and Hayley and Upkaar were flexible and supportive to allow this to happen. Top level support, professionalism and approachability. Anyone wanting to complete a course with incredible team support, look no further.

I have just completed the NVQ and the support I had been given from my assessor Harry and the Programme Manager Upkaar was exemplary. The qualification appeared to be a bit repetitive in part but with their guidance, I was able to complete the qualification without major issue. There was obvious issues with COVID-19 and not being able to gather evidence but this was met with understanding in that I could take that little bit longer to complete. This has given me the impetus to complete the level 6 qualification and given a new focus on continual study and development.

I received excellent tutor support from Jamie who was always on hand when I needed help, he was quick to respond and made the whole process achievable for me. The management support was also very reliable, Upkaar was prompt to come back to me with any queries I had and kept me updated through the duration. Thanks to you all for the excellent support.

I cannot recommend BSC enough based on my experience of completing my Level 5 diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice. The level of support, in terms of both assessment and administration was excellent: I had a number of setbacks during my course (injury, lockdown and serious IT issues) all of which were addressed quickly, with good grace: this makes a big difference when you're fitting your diploma in around home & work. It is always good to have ones choice of course provider vindicated by good customer service as well as a good product. It has been a pleasure studying with BSC: thank you.

Avoid taking the 'British Safety Council Certificate in Risk Assessment'. Some of the questions asked are not covered in their learning materials. Once completed a technical glitch meant the certificate was not available. The number for customer service does not pick up.

I recently completed and obtained my NVQ3 in occupational health and safety through the British Safety Council (BSC). Upkarr Bharadia was extremely helpful throughout the qualification as was my assessor Paul Stevenson. Im looking forward to obtaining the next qualification through the BSC.
