United Kingdom | 30 September 2021I have used Pirate a few times. The rooms are OK, the equipment looked a bit tired and well used, but everything worked. It was obvious that the room had been cleaned and the kit sanitized. Sadly the whole experience was let down by the booking experience and the extremely poor customer service. Twice my booking was cancelled. On the first occasion I was told this was due to equipment failure, but when I visited there was someone else using the room I had booked. I was also disappointed that the booking was cancelled without offering me an alternative, even though there was another suitable room available. On the second occasion I was told there was a fault on the booking system, again the room I had booked was now booked by someone else. I contacted Pirate but they offered no meaningful apology, no explanation and suggested no alternatives. They were clearly not interested in my business. There is no point booking a room if that booking will be cancelled whenever it is convenient for Pirate to do so. Since Pirate choose to treat their customers with contempt, I will take my business elsewhere.

United Kingdom | 28 September 2021First, its good to be back rehearsing / gigging and without these generally excellent facilities it would be difficult... Our band (Mythicals) auditioned bassists last night but sadly some equipment (that is normally in great condition) wasn't working and made it a little difficult. If there's any thing not working, we would ring Pirate's emergency equipment number (they promise to fix at the time) but as our auditions were tightly scheduled last night, we made do with the PA and got by. Don't let this review put you off but recognise that these studios are usually a great place to rehearse.

United Kingdom | 27 September 2021My first booking at Pirate was unfortunately ruined by a health issue that left me unconscious on the pavement in hackney road on the way to my session. As I didnt see this coming I couldn't attempt to cancel my booking until 75% into the booking. I let pirate know of my situation then next day and they have been incredibly kind and refunded me for the session. This kind of customer care is far above the general average and shows that pirate studios clearly are a great bunch of caring people. I will definitely be rebooking my session and trying to make it a regular thing. I will be sure to update my review once I have actually managed to reach the studios. Thanks Pirate Studios!
