It’s rare to get a truly personal service from a web-based company, but that’s exactly what I got with Sewing House. I had a bit of a tricky scenario where I needed to hang a roman blind and a full length curtain on two windows on the same wall. I had seen Sewing House had some gorgeous fabrics and decent prices, but was getting mind-boggled thinking about the dimensions and options, so I gave them a call. Lovely Josh in the Sales team went above and beyond and we exchanged several emails talking about dimensions, pattern matching, eyelets, curtain pole brackets and more. Once I placed the order the items arrived on the exact date promised, the quality is fantastic and they look GREAT. Really really happy - a big thanks to Josh and team.

Lovely blind well made and fits perfectly

If like me, you like everything to be perfect - The fabric I chose was exactly as I expected, and the lining and seams on the curtains are beautifully done. 10/10 On my initial order, I used measuring guidelines top to bottom for curtains from a different site (247 curtains). After I’d placed the order, my partner asked me to check if The Sewing House used the same measuring rules. We found some discrepancies and I asked for The Seeing House to reduce the measurements, based on their own guidelines. Basically, based on the Sewing House website guilines, I asked for a length reduction from 239 to 236.5 cm. Result: the curtains are too short and the measuring rules from the other company are correct. The Sewing House measuring guidelines are wrong. You should always measure the hanging length from the bottom of the pole, NOT including the length of your curtain hooks in your calculations. For this, I give them a much lower mark because we now have to reset our curtain pole, and do some dyi ( (drilling, filling and repainting) just so our curtains can sit at the correct level with the floor. And they don’t sit at the correct ceiling height either. Shame these can’t be easily returned / replaced as ‘made to measure’!

We ordered 2 sets of Curtains, 1 Roman Blind and 2 matching cushions. Delivery was received in just 11 days from ordering, and all were well packaged, in pristine condition with no creases and ready to hang. We are delighted with the quality of the entire order and in particular the Roman Blind that required a join in the material (due to the width of our window), which has been expertly done and is hardly noticeable. The ordering process was easy. We greatly appreciated the help and advice from Georgia and the samples provided.

Beautifully made. Ordered three pairs of curtains. A little dubious ordering from a new source but am extremely pleased with the quality of the curtains and would definitely recommend. When I require curtains in the future I will certainly be ordering again.. They were even delivered earlier than expected

Having placed my order at 5pm on a Sunday evening, two hours later I realised I had input the wrong width. I rang the following morning at 9am and spoke to Georgia who rectified my mistake immediately without any hassle and took the extra amount owing over the phone. The curtains arrived within the time frame given. They are of good quality and exactly as I imagined. I would have given 5 stars but one of the curtains has a slight flaw in the material but once hung it is unnoticeable and as I only know it there I can live with it.
