I visited The Massage Company in Canning Town on October 22, 2024. Booking was straightforward, I was warmly welcomed upon arrival, and the massage itself was good. However, as I was leaving, the receptionist, Chantelle, began pressuring me to sign up for a membership. I expressed that I needed time to consider, but she insisted on enrolling me regardless, stating that, since they had my card details, I could cancel within the first month. A couple of days later, I emailed The Massage Company to cancel the membership. What followed was a frustrating back-and-forth, with repeated attempts from their side to convince me to stay despite my clear request to cancel. After explaining my reasons and sending two additional emails asking for confirmation of the cancellation, they stopped responding entirely. Initially, I was genuinely open to becoming a semi-regular client without committing to a membership. However, the company’s aggressive sales tactics, relentless pressure to sign up, and lack of responsiveness regarding my cancellation request have left me deeply disappointed. The experience has entirely deterred me from returning as a client. To The Massage Company: please do not ask me to contact you directly to resolve this matter. I already did so when you wrote me after receiving my feedback (you sent me an email asking to write a review and I decided to send it to you privately, rather than posting it, as you suggested on November 4). Following your instructions, I sent a fourth email, yet I have still not received a response. If you genuinely want to resolve this, please confirm by email that my membership has been cancelled.

After many months of fantastic massages I needed to cancel my membership due to financial reasons. I’ve given all notice and been told my last month was refunded but no refund has reached my account. I’ve emailed as well now and no response either to emails.

Massage was amazing. However I felt bullied into getting a membership. Chantelle at the reception said we will just take card details today and you can make up your mind if you want to have membership before the 1st of October. I emailed on same day to say I didnt want membership but I kept receiving emails on why I should have membership. Terms and conditions state I can cancel within a month so why am I being forced to join??? Kofo

I went to the Canning Town Branch The whole place smelt lovely, even reception so the whole experience started well. When I got on the massage table it was WARM! Like an electric blanket! And I was covered with a proper blanket (was it a weighted one?). There was a choice of oils. I had a deep tissue massage with the standard oil and almost fell asleep! So chilled! I bought my massage on Groupon so wasn't really expecting much but the Canning Town branch is lovely once inside (it's in a new build development opposite the tube/bus station) and the staff are super friendly - especially Chantelle on the front desk and masseur Borges. (and surprisingly for a Groupon purchase I was called back to arrange my appointment when I couldn't get through)

The session was bought as a gift by my awesome daughter. I booked in to the Sutton Coldfield branch in Mere Green. I was booked in by the lovley Olivia who was courteous and very patient. My masseuse was Ruby.She was brilliant,she was kind and very patient she went through consultation notes throughly and I had the Swiss massage along with some deep tissue massage. I also had the add on of aromatherapy. She talked when I needed to but once it was happening it was serene ,peaceful and bloody lovley. I was given an advisory form for my next session which was individualy tweaked for my needs.

CANNING TOWN BRANCH IS FRAUDULENT BEWARE OF THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY. THEY Will trap you into a membership and charge you for two months before you are able to cancel. On top of that they will charge a £20 fee. I GOT SCAMMED OUT OF £160 total. Absolute worst place ever. And they will not refund you. They will trick you into signing up for a membership and sweet talk you to say that you can cancel at any time. Very dishonest business. I would definitely not recommend, so many other more honest massage companies out there. I still stand by this but I did manage to get a refund from my bank for one of the charges.

Horribly rude & very aggressive sales for their monthly membership. Came here for 1 massage. They charge extra to include the feet for a full body? Afterwards, some guy was aggressively trying to get me to sign up for a membership to the point I felt I can't just leave. Super aggressive and rude.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SCAMMY MASSAGE PLACE I got sold 2 introductory massage vouchers at an event for £89.99 and I bought it thinking that was a good deal for 2 intro massages. When I come to claim it I am told I cannot use the second voucher because I can only use an intro offer once and the deal is meant for me to gift to a friend. This offer was not sold to me with this key information. When I challenged this mis-selling, I was gaslighted into thinking that the salesperson must have told me this and it is written in the terms and conditions. The truth is it was not told to me and the terms and conditions were not presented to me until after the money was paid. Then I asked for a refund of the second voucher or an exception considering this misunderstanding. The owner was called and then I was told there was nothing they can do to make this right. I think this is very bad sales practice and a dishonest company. I wouldn't go here at all. EDIT to respond to the company: your response does not respond to my compliant that the salesperson did NOT tell me this. So your response of telling me that I was told this is simply not true and this classifies as mis-selling. I appreciate that this was a simple misunderstanding where the salesperson perhaps did not communicate the terms and conditions when she was supposed to. However, when given the chance to make this right by providing a refund or honouring the offer, you simply declined which is dishonest and clearly gaslighting your customer. I still think you are a dishonest company.

Tunbridge Wells… From the moment I booked my massage I had an excellent experience. All of the staff were professional and so friendly, really put me at my ease. Dwayne made sure to ask what I wanted and carried out my wishes resulting in a wonderful massage. I can feel a huge improvement in my posture and mobility. I will definitely return for a hot stones massage.

Had a reasonable massage but for the price there are definitely better therapists in London. I tried to ask for deeper pressure but to no avail. The environment was nice and clean, however.

UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR Absolutely disgusting staff who have no manners to talk to customers. Even after specifically requesting a female therapist for my friend she was given a male therapist who walked into her room without her acknowledgment when she was naked. The therapists were in such a hurry to leave as we were their last shift, I received a 45 mins massage and my friend received a 40 mins massage, whereas on their page they promise a hands on 50 minutes massage. My therapist did not bother to read the instructions where I have clearly mentioned do not oil my hair or head. My hair was smothered in lotion. Even after telling her in the massage to focus on my lower back and upper back she kept ignoring it. I am completely shocked at the treatment from Massage Company Canningtown. I first tried to discuss this and solve it with the team, but the rude and disrespectful email I received in return, is something I will not forget.

Lovely experience. Very welcoming on arrival very pleasant staff on reception in Harrow. Had my 2nd massage with Nina. Very relaxing and sorted out my knotted up muscles. Very glad we have taken annual membership, undoubtedly, this should help balance our busy lives. Looking forward to future pampering sessions.

Harrow branch - thank you Kushal so much for an amazing massage! I felt so relaxed afterwards , it was just what I needed. Kushal was able to quickly identify where the pain in my left shoulder was coming from since my car accident and he spent time working on it. I have been having physio for months and they haven’t been able to identify this. Very professional and a relaxing massage!

Went down for my appointment today which i pay for on the membership only to be told i had to pay for it as they booked me in without telling me earlier this month. When this was explained to them they said i jeed to come down or i would be charged. Only for me to drive 20 miles for nothing as they wanted to charge me anyway. They said the staff member needs to be paid. Well theu pay them 12 per hr so why do you think you can charge me 60 pound for nothing. The manager wasnt interested just wants to make money, your reply 9nly states half the conversation you left off the part that i cancelled those other appointments and rearranged them. Yet again you ate calling me a lair when you have incompetent staff working for yoy. Instead of apologising for this error u called me a lair and tried to over charge me.
