Guernsey | 18 December 2024Over a week late on delivery which I paid for next day guaranteed 1pm with Royal Mail now it’s getting investigated and may take 30days , Chards are not totally to blame but they offered that postal service so maybe they should switch to a different provider. I’m £650 out of pocket until it gets resolved

United Kingdom | 18 December 2024You really need to work on your presentation. I spent a lot of money on a gold sovereign for a gift for my granddaughter. When it turned up the coin was in an ill-fitting polythene zip lock bad (and branded ‘Chards’ Why?). This was wrapped in bubble wrap, and then enclosed in what looked like a bin bag. Come on…… it wouldn’t take a lot to reflect the value and nature of your coins with something a bit more respectful.

United Kingdom | 17 December 2024Exceptional service. Extremely fast delivery. Dealt brilliantly and quickly with my request for a written invoice which was sent to me the next day. My only complaint would be that given the intrinsic value compared to the sales value and the obvious percentage mark up, I think its a bit cheap of the company to charge for delivery. Given what they are making this should be offered free on everything let alone the quantity I bought. Other than that a truely great service. I have now had a reply from Chards and it is unfortunately nothing more than company blurb. They are actually trying to push the reason for the delivery charges back onto the customer. They quote a poll with customers about delivery charges whereby the cusomers wanted the delivery charge as opposed to hidden charges. Well of course we all want that instead of hidden charges but that is not what I said or the point I made. They completely miss the point I was clearly making, and that is quite simply that they are making so much money and profit per coin/bar/sale that they can well afford and should be paying for delivery from their profit. Not from hidden costs back into the sale, not from adding delivery on as they now do, they should simply be fronting the delivery cost. It was a very poor reply from them completely deflecting the point made. There is no reason from their margins why they cannot pay from their profits the delivery charge. Dont get richer charging for delivery its greedy, get more, new, loyal customers which you will retain by paying the delivery from your profits. I unfortunately await and expect more corporate blurb from them.
