Canada | 14 February 2022I had a furnace installed about 4 yrs ago and was problems right away with install. They had to come back 3 times to fix what they did wrong. Now after getting a new water heater installed, by someone other than Simply green, he informed me there is no inspection or permit pulled for the furnace and there are things that would never pass inspection. I called 2 times to ask if permit was pulled and no reply back. Very shady company.

Canada | 28 January 2022In short, bad company and worse treatment I called them. I want to change the thermostat. He told me the company would buy the thermostat and install it for 500 + tax.Knowing that the most expensive thermostat on the market is $300. I don't think they will buy the most expensive deviceI, do not advise anyone to deal with this company

Canada | 05 January 2022I was scammed into renting of air filter which i was not aware that by doing so it places a lien on my property and/or that I wouldn't be able to cancel my contract and returning the equipment. I don't see any of the details on the contract stating this. I was contacted by Simply Green however, no good outcome was made. I'm still very unsatisfied with this company and very frustrated with dealing with their costumer relations team.

Canada | 02 August 2021I see there's many bad reviews but keep in mind this could of been when the company was first starting out and working through the imperfections. My experience was positive. I dealt with Jose who followed through with everything that he said he would. Products work great, technicians were awesome. I've had no issues and would highly recommend.

Canada | 06 April 2021It’s a total Scam!!!

Canada | 12 March 2021You will get stuck in a rental for 15 years and end up paying 5 times more than the new equipment market price! Want to get out? No way! They won’t even acknowledge your right to stop the rental. Guess who have corporate lawyers to scare you out?

Canada | 01 March 2021Please check your contract carefully. I was in a hurry and rushed through the process and ended up paying over three times the cost of the furnace. I would never deal with them again and caution anyone that is thinking of doing so!

Canada | 06 February 2021Said my air cleaner was costing my $70 a month for hydro. False... wanted to replace it with a hepa filter and $60. If the savings would go towards the hepa. Ha ha. 10 year lease. Checked with my hvac company. Scam. Scam.

Canada | 06 January 2021Everything everyone is complaining about is true...it's a complete and utter scam...make sure to read any fine print before engaging in this company. After 5 years of paying for a furnace, I thought I was done...only to find out I have rented the unit..and I owe for 180 months. Being it's a rental they won't even take it back, you have the option of a "buy out" which is well over double of what I have already paid for 5 years...I've been duped and feel like a fool!

Canada | 24 November 2020DO NOT deal with this company ! they are dishonest crooks that will tell you lies to get you to sign contracts which are unenforceable by the signee. Their "customer service" is smoke and mirrors and will tell you lies to prolong the experience, they have no intention of honestly dealing with repairs or complaints and will try to up-sell to newer more expensive equipment under the guise of being unable to find the parts for the existing unit(s). I am still waiting to have my primary heating unit replaced ( broken down 2 months ago) their promise to twice yearly maintain the unit has never occurred in the five years I have diligently paid the ever increasing monthly instalment. Again DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY !!

Canada | 28 October 2020I had a sales rep come to my house, selling A/C. As I did not have central A/C, and the previous summer had been quite hot in the house, I thought it would be a good idea to get it installed. The sales rep told me it would be about $5,000 for the unit, and he would waive the $1,500 installation fee. He informed me it would be $100/month for a 5 year contract, but the option was available to buy it out if I wanted to. Fast forward 4 years, I was selling my house. I decided I would pay out the remainder of the contract in order to sell the house with the A/C, as I was under the impression that it was only a 5 year contract. When I called the company, they informed me that there was over $8,000 left on the contract. This didn't make any sense to me, as I had understood that the total amount originally financed was less than that, and I had already been paying for 4 years. When I inquired about the length of the contract, they informed me that it was actually a 15 year contract. This would mean, at $100/month for 15 years, I would pay an astronomical price of $18,000 altogether for my A/C unit! They told me my only option was to buy out the contract or transfer the lease to the new owner. The new owner did not want to pay for the remaining 11 years for $100/month for A/C (I don't blame them!). I called back Simply Green and asked if I could return the A/C unit, and they informed me I couldn't return it, the only other option was to buy out the contract. The sale was a scam, the salesman misguided and misinformed me in order to get me to sign the contract, and did not provide proper information when I originally purchased the A/C unit. I will continue to fight Simply Green in every way possible until this issue is resolved, hopefully in a satisfactory way.

Canada | 25 September 2020SCAM Honestly how are they in business. The worst service known to man. Worst then Bell Canada never thought possible . If your equipment under contract needs to be replaced they expect you to resign another 10 year plan to have it replaced. When you say no you wait for weeks with no call back and no shows and water all over the floor. They are in the Business of getting contracts signed not actually servicing or caring about the equipment they have out there. DO NOT USE THEM NO MATTER WHAT

Canada | 13 August 2020Simply Green is banned from door-to-door sales in B.C. because of their deceptive business practices. Ontario banned all door-to-door sales in 2018 because of companies like Simply Green. Unfortunately, I signed a contract with their door-to-door salesmen 5 years ago, before the ban took effect. Upon signing the lease-to-own contract, the salesmen conveniently failed to mention the following to us: 1. They failed to mention the overall price of the equipment is (which turns out to be multiple times the market value). You can buy the equipment from Home Depot up front with your credit card and end up paying a lot less than financing with this company. 2. They failed to mention how much interest will be charged over the years and the fact that there would be yearly increases in payments. 3. They specifically informed us that the contract is "lease-to-own", so we can buy out the remainder of the contract any time, but they didn't tell us that the cost of the buy-out is more than the cost of the equipment. 4. They didn't tell us that we'll be on the hook with 2 different financial institutions that are loosely connected to Simply Green. 5. One of the three pieces of equipment had no contract, but the financial company is withdrawing monthly payments without billing us nor showing any accounting of how much we've paid so far. 6. They are known to exploit the government rebate/environmental incentives in their sales tactics, as mentioned in the BC Consumer Protection report. They promised us a government rebate; we received none. 7. Their installers were shoddy. Their truck was dripping oil and ruined my neighbour's then-newly installed concrete driveway with their oil stains. {The driver had to back up on to my neighbour's driveway when leaving our house.} When I tried complaining to Simply Green, they gave me the run-around and ignored me. I was embarrassed and tried to clean the oil stains myself to no avail. Simply Green refused to take any responsibility.

Canada | 20 June 2020In 2015, a salesperson (S.O.M. are his initials) for Simply Green, a friend of a friend came over with the pretense of wanting to have a BBQ. It was strange. I expected my friend to be with him, but I was told that it was just him. We had the BBQ with my wife and little daughter and as soon as we were done eating he pulls out the contract. I told him the air-conditioner was leaking a little, but it was fine now and the furnace was fine as well. He told me not to worry, that he can give several free furnace and air-conditioners to friends and family because his sales were so high. I just had to give him a voided cheque, and if any money was pulled from our bank account, Simply Green would reimburse me. This contract I signed was a supposed to be for seven years and as long as he was with Simply Green, we wouldn't have to pay a cent. I should have know this would be too good to be true. I just looked at the contract again... this is for 180 months! A $7,000-$8,000 system will amount to $30,000. Are you serious!!!! I have been paying for the last 5 years to the tune of $10,000 and now I find that I have another 10 YEARS!!! The contract says the payments will increase by 3.5% each year. Not to mention there was supposed to be 2 months payment-free period after installation. There was none! That would already be a breach of contract. Not happy. I need to make some calls.

Canada | 30 April 2020Had issues with the water heater (when we bought the house, having to take on the contract on the water heater was unfortunately part of the deal), technician was great (from a separate local company) - said we need a new unit. Sales person called an hour later, said we'd have to pay 50% more than we're currently paying ($60 instead of $40), which I argued down to the regular price. Then he tried to force me into a 180 MONTH contract to enable us to get a new one. I argued that we were entitled to a new one under our current agreement and the agent said that instead we'd only be able to get replacement parts "whenever they come in stock, which could be weeks". I wasn't taking any of his nonsense so said we expect it to be sorted in a reasonable amount of time, refused to sign any contract. That afternoon a new heater was delivered and installed (again by a separate company), which is what we were entitled to under our contract, no increase in fees, no new contract. I would NEVER take out a contract with Simply Green, they are complete crooks.
