We use this seasonally and based on use thus far, I expect many more seasons of coverage. Quality product at a very fair price. The company could not be more accommodating and helpful.

1 star because of low quality and boarderline illegal service (see below). We purchased the The Lean Terylast Ebony umbrella in black. The Terylast material is so light that you can see the clouds through it, honestly. It really did not give the protection we were expecting and the quality seemed very poor which is why we returned it. And only after a friendly reminder 4 months later, we finally received our refund. The way their final email was composed and the fact it did not include any sort of apology, I truly believe that Midtown Umbrellas is a huge scam. I would never buy from them again and warned my friends about it.

We were excited about this product given all the glowing reviews about its quality and customer service, but our experience has been disappointing so far. The umbrella wobbles where it connects to the base, and after less than a week outdoors, one part of the base is already peeling paint. To make matters worse, we’ve reached out to customer service and have yet to receive a response. We expected better given the reputation of this product and company.

Never received our umbrella and they wouldn’t give our money back. We had to go through our credit card company to contest the charge. After months we did get our money refunded. We went for 4 months and never received the cover

Excellent Quality patio umbrella’s with a large color selection. I also like the fact you can buy replacement canopies when worn out or a color change is desired.

Not only did I never receive my order from months ago, I have already provided a review and am now being nagged for another. Under the circumstances I would never recommend this company or its products.

Never received replacement

I love the two umbrellas I purchased, so I ordered a third. Not only did it never arrive, even though I got notices about it arriving but after contacted them many times there is absolutely no information regarding my order. Nobody at the customer service seems to know what is happening. It seemed like maybe the company just up and disappeared. Odd that 7 months after not delivering a promised umbrella they want a review.

I had a surgery planned and I selected the umbrella based on the customer service and good reviews, but it was imperative to have the umbrella before and to be able to install it. However, FedEx messed up and I received the umbrella after my surgery. I had to organise someone to install it. After several tries asking for a refund the customer service gave me a something like 57 dollars. 6-7% of the price paid. They were responsive to any email. The umbrella colour is far different from the website, less vivid but we don't dislike it. The the overall product is coherent with the description but i was expecting better. When I lived in New Zealand, three years ago, I bought an umbrella far more roubust for half the price. I think most of the products are manufactured in China.

The people at Midtown Umbrellas are always responsive and are fair and easy to work with. I purchased three cantilever umbrellas with permanent bases and a small umbrella in the last couple years. They look nice and function property. I will buy again.
