I was referred to Medway Law when I agreed to sell my property with Iam Sold auctions. They were okay at the beginning when the process was simple but as the completion date became nearer I encountered difficulties with my trustees. I found myself in dire need of help and assistance, the clock was ticking and we had to resolve the issue urgently. This is where you need to have your conveyancey team's support the most, but sadly Medway Law were no help whatsoever. I contacted them by phone almost 30 times over a 3 day period where I was greeted with holding music followed by an answer machine that would terminate the call. On deadline day I left several messages asking them to call me urgently, no one called. My Probate people and the buyers solicitor had the same issues. The last time I actually got through to a staff member was a couple of days earlier, I was told that they would get my file and call me back, they didn't. In the end I had to get my information from Iam Sold, Probate and text messages from the buyer, which was embarrassing! And it was Iam Sold that called and emailed me the completion details, I haven't heard from Medway Law since, wouldn't it be ironic if they were to reply to this review! So, if you have simple conveyancey needs and don't need to contact them for assistance you might get lucky, but for me it was a nightmare exacerbated by their indifference. Avoid! Edit: Less than 24hrs passed before Trustpilot contacted me stating that 'Medway Law would like more information about my experience' - please see above, I believe my review is a comprehensive and honest account of my experience, 'This will help them write a more useful reply to you' - if Medway Law wish to respond please do so publicly below, 'It'll also help them verify that you’ve had a genuine experience with their business' - Do Medway Law also scrutinise positive reviews? I am 100% a genuine customer and can prove it, but why should I be the one on the defensive? Should my review disappear for any reason I will repost it with an update!

I found your system good and your staff very helpful and friendly, particularly through the difficult time we encountered during the selling process.

Overall a good and professional service from the team thank you. My only are d for improvement would have been communications where it did at times feel like we were chasing information but to be fair it came, just when promoted. Funds transfer in the completion day for onward purchase were slow but we got there. Thank you

Easy to work with, very thorough

Please avoid this dodgy solicitors, was recommended them by "I am SOLD" for an auction sale, accepted offer in December 2019, no one there really knows how or who is the conveyancer or solicitor, poor updates, lack of communication, failed promises, lack of IT knowledge, asking me to chase the buyers solicitor, pass documents that are too big, now in August I'm pulling out of a 56 day deadline to complete as they can't advise me when or why its taken so long, please find a solicitors other than these

Medway Law were absolutely brilliant. They helped me understand everything that was going on which was a big help. They kept me informed every step of the way and if I had any problems they helped me out no end. They were professional, polite and very helpful. I can not express the way I feel they helped me through this process at a very difficult and hard time they were so understanding. I would not use an out of town solicitor again as it was very difficult when it came to confirming ID and the signing of papers.

Nice friendly service, dealt with the sale of my late fathers house with compassion. A difficult time with the pandemic so dealt with a few different people and communication wasn't always brilliant but with fewer staff working they were very busy.

Worst mistake I could have made using this firm when selling my house. I signed up to sell using the modern method of auction with Manners and Harrison, Medway Law was pitched to me as the best firm to use due to the nature of the modern method of auction which convinced me to use them. The lack of communication and response time to the queries from the buyers solicitor caused the sale of my property to fall through. Do yourself a favour and stay well clear! Edit in response to Medway Law: This review was not posted on this site to open a dialogue and resolve this issue, the damage has already been done. I fail to see how using a complaints procedure on your website could possibly make up for it, this experience has cost me a lot of money and caused months of stress. This review was posted for the benefit of others, who hopefully are diligent enough to do their research before using a service, as I should have been.

I thought the service was excellent the staff managed everything and were very responsive with any questions .

Difficult to give a more exact rating due to the Covid situation and there being 2 firms of solicitors involved but I feel the sale should not have taken 6 months after a buyer was found for basically a paper exercise. A more regular information update would have been helpful.

Overall did well in unprecedented times due to Coronavirus. Felt at times it was a bit of a tick box process and could have offered more advice to us e.g. we were asked to pay for a number of insurances by the buyer but no advice from Medway Law as to whether we legally had to. At times communication could have been better but really stepped up towards the end of the process in chasing completion.
