United Kingdom | 13 August 2024I had an extremely negative experience with DIJ Real Estate Ltd. I paid rent in April 2024 for a two-month short-term accommodation starting on July 1st. On the day of my arrival, July 1st, DIJ claimed that he couldn’t find an assistant to proceed with the check-in. I was left without a backup plan and had to find an emergency accommodation at night. The next day, I had to move to a hotel while waiting for DIJ, who pretended "to sort things with the landlord." I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt as DIJ stated he was looking for alternatives. However, on July 5th, my lease was cancelled, and I was supposed to get the funds returned within a week. It's now been more than five weeks with no sign of a refund and no communication from DIJ. This matter is going to court. If you're considering doing business with DIJ, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Save yourself the stress, time, and financial loss.

We were supposed to move into our new apartment but we couldn't because the previous tenants had supposedly destroyed it. It has been a month now, and we still haven't received our money back (+£12,000). The situation has been a nightmare for us while starting an important internship. The agent keeps giving us various excuses. We're putting together a solid case with our lawyer to go to court to get our money back.

Has been a week (05/07) since our official letter asking for rent so we are now getting Trading Standard to provide next legal action. DIJ has a flagged report from HSBC for misuse of their facilities for a commercial loan and DID NOT disclose this until three weeks later. DIJ has lies to us about sending a refund as he sent us a screenshot weeks ago claiming to have sent it. He is looking to finalize the rent EOW , but we had also been assured that this had been done when we first voided the contract. After having a breach of contract by DIJ for refusing myself and my flatmate to move in on a predetermined, PREPAID FOR flat in Canary Wharf, we voided the contract as both him and the landlord had been lying at every turn about their conspicuous behaviour.

United Kingdom | 14 July 2024We paid for entire deposit and 10 weeks rent in January for a June-August lease, for three students doing an internship in Canary Wharf with a start date of June 24, 2024 for the lease. We signed a contract in January through Goodlord and viewed the property. In early June we received communication that the landlord had cancelled our booking because of a 'double booking'. After this DIJ Real Estate proceeded to find another flat for us and continuously sent positive messages regarding the flat search; making us sign multiple contracts but without making us move in, with the justification that the money had not been received on the landlord's side. This continued for a week, where we were effectively homeless, and upon understanding that this might be a fraud after discovering that about 10 other internship students were in our exact situation with DIJ, we decided to end our flat search and request a refund. Our agent from DIJ Real Estate, who we had been in contact with, confirmed that this payment was underway. However, 3 weeks later there has been no progression, upon which we have decided to officially file this complaint. The other students have filed a similar complaint.

United Kingdom | 27 June 2024Paid deposit and rent In February, well in advance of flat rent in July. Landlord did not hand over keys, so we cancelled the contract. DIJ confirmed that a full refund would be made within 3 working days, but this has not happened, despite numerous phone calls and emails. I would strongly advise you NOT to use this company. Check out the other one star reviews and you will see why! UPDATE: In response to DIJ's reply to my review, my daughter could not move in on Thursday, as she advised DIJ on the Monday preceding that. DIJ agreed to hand over keys on Friday after work, but was then not available!! So it was agreed that the keys would be handed over on the Saturday morning. However, on Saturday morning DIJ said that the landlord needed to give permission for the keys to be handed over! He also said that the landlord needed to review the contract first. This was the SAME CONTRACT that had been in place since February with the only change being that they were moving in on Saturday rather than Thursday! So DIJ was given a deadline of resolving this by midday Saturday. As he was unable to do this, due to the landlord being too busy (what a joke!), my daughter cancelled. DIJ assured everyone on the phone (there were 5 people on the call and it was recorded) that the refund would be received within 1-3 working days without fail. This did not happen and DIJ gave every excuse in the book. So please do not listen to any garbage that he spouts. And by the way, 7 WEEKS LATER, we still have not received a refund for over £3000 for rent paid in February!! DIJ now does not reply to any emails or Whatsapps and he no longer takes calls. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - HE'S A SCAMMER...
