HeyTutor is a FRAUD HeyTutor literally stole $900 from me. Everything herein is in writing from both parties and available at the email address below. A "student" hired me to complete a business project for them which we did. The invoice was $1500 which they agreed to pay. The party had $600 with HeyTutor which they forwarded to me and then charged her credit card $900 plus a service fee. HeyTutor emailed me that the $1500 was forthcoming but subsequently wrote that the client had only agreed to pay $600 and they had no answer for the other $900. It wasn't until I sued the "student," something they obviously did not anticipate, did both parties learn that HeyTutor had duped both of us. I emailed the owner offering him the benefit of the doubt if he wired me the $900 and court filing fees. Not only did I not hear back from him but I did receive an email justifying their keeping my money. Money that they explicitly told the student was going to me. Save your time and money. Go to an official source. I would recommend Kaplan.

Save your money. This is a very poorly run business that waste peoples time. They unsuccessfully matched me with 3 tutors with absolutely no knowledge of my subject. When I asked for a refund they refused and the staff member Patrick Coher was extremely rude. Once again, save your money.

My son was promised in person tutoring. They took our money and we never received in person tutoring. My son had 2 sessions with an inept tutor. We requested a new tutor. A new contact was given who was never available and ended up ghosting my son. Now, no one will return our calls or email requests for a refund. This is a scam. Don't fall for it.

this is a legit website. I mean, the quality of the tutors is actually quite good. I am here to share my experience. At first, I resisted hiring a tutor through a website. But when I finally did, it turned out to be a good decision that I have made. I am satisfied with the skills they possess and the way they teach.

Tutors usually quote a high price these days but not at hey tutor. I came across this amazing website that are providing personal tutors at an affordable price. So now I am stress-free and taking my classes every day.

I aced my biology final!!! Thank you Bhavneet and heytutor! I called them about a month ago because I needed help with Biology. All of my classes our online and it's been hard to learn. Bhavneet was THE BEST tutor I've ever worked with. I met with her the next day and she broke down all the topics and made them much more simple.

DO NOT USE HEY TUTOR. THIS IS A SCAM!! They will take your money and promise if you don't find the tutors up to standards they will refund you but this is a TOTAL LIE. THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. There is no vetting process for tutors, they will hire anyone regardless of their ability to teach or not. Its shameful how they run this company especially given the fact that its a world wide pandemic. They will steal your money!

Failed to match me with a tutor capable of teaching me the subject material. Granted they were knowledgeable in it but could not provide me a better understanding. Went through 5+ tutors all could not understand the complexity of what I was working with... masters level course in statistics. Offered a refund to me and still have $800 of mine that they say has “expired” and no longer eligible for refund.

The experience with Heytutor has been terrible. We paid ($1,500) for a tutor 40 days ago and still have not had one session.

I had to learn essay writing but had no clue how to do it. So I thought of taking online help from heytutor for one lesson. But I didn’t know I would end up making a long term relationship with them. I liked their teaching style and service so much.

I am a tutor working with heytutor since 3 years. I am pretty happy with this organization as they make me feel like their family.

I was assured that they could match me with a tutor with professional experience in elementary education. I specifically asked for no college students. They assured me that their tutors have an average of 5-10 yrs of professional experience. I was assured that if the first two tutors don't work out, I could get a refund. The first tutor they sent me was a college student with no professional experience. I rejected them, finding out they were an undergraduate college student when they said they weren't sure what their class schedule was yet, so couldn't commit to times. I asked for a new tutor, complaining that my request had been ignored. They now say that they have "a few" college students, but that most of their tutors are professional. They matched me again. Another college student with no professional experience. I asked for my refund. They refused. Out $1350. If you are actually interested in finding a long term private tutor, DO NOT use HeyTutor.

Used this service for college course work and was set up with a tutor that was to come to my house because I was not able to learn from the video chats - unfortunately my tutor didnt want to come to my house anymore ( not covid related) and so I had no choice but to go online which then suffered horribly from. Not only that, but the tutor was not as reliable as I needed and I got the impression in the end it was ... Well better luck next time - so I took my final without help and by some miracle passed with a c. I contacted hey tutor and the refused to refund due to poor service and now that I'm not in school ... That money is just wasting away sitting there.... For no reason. I tell everyone I know to stay clear because it's impossible to know if you can use all your credits or not and without refunds it isn't worth it. Sign up for chegg instead. Also, there should be some law against companies keeping money from people if they can't use the service.... Feels like fraud.
