First 1 star review I've ever left on Trustpilot goes to Neo Energy. Have been trying to cancel the switch from British Gas to Neo Energy off the back of these reviews for nearly a week - they have consistently done nothing in response to various calls and emails, despite the switch edging closer and closer. Each time it gets through to call centre, they promise to escalate it as a priority and do not even call back. The two times I have been called back, they've promised confirmation of cancellation via email - they never send it. Awful company, and I desperately feel for the reception staff who try their best but can only do so much by sending on messages to the backend that do not respond - AVOID.

Very efficient and clear communication with Sandy, who was also happy to call again the following day as my dinner was on the table. When Sandy did phone the next day (at precisely the agreed time) we completed the switch initiation with a vey high signal to noise ratio !!! thank you Sandy !! 👏👏👏👏

I had difficulty in communicating my electricity and gas meter readings on the 16th April. I got through to a Nu-Serve operator who dealt with the matter efficiently. However I received a follow up call from Liyam of Nu-serve who listened to my experience and then checked that all was OK and confirmed that everything was correct. He then gave me the number of his direct line and said I should, in the future, contact him directly and he will ensure the readings are correct. I could not fault his service.

I just wanted to provide a follow up to my last review regarding Neo Energy's incredibly poor customer service. Since then their CEO has been in touch, has apologised and has also made amends for the issues I have experienced with Neo. Apparently they now have a new customer service team on board and are seeking to rectify their previous poor customer service record.

After a search of the market for the best electricity price, we have no gas in our village, Neo came up with an overall price that was 47% cheaper than the new contract offered by my current supplier and 19% cheaper than the next cheapest. Important when I use 17000+ units a year. So far Customer service has been excellent with emails replied to very quickly, and I had no trouble at all with the switch.

After long phone call I switched from British Gas and agreed to upfront direct debit - big mistake! They debited money and then failed to complete switch and after 5 weeks I cancelled further payments I have requested refund but suspect it will be long drawn out process Avoid at all costs

Stupidly I ignored the reviews and thought I would given this company a chance. What a mistake. They took a payment 3 days before the switch was scheduled but have never informed my previous supplier who obviously still want payment as they are still supplying. Countless emails and phone calls are never responded to. When you call “ Customer Services” you are told “this is the front desk, there is no one you can speak to, there is no manager available. I will get someone to call you back “. Needless to say, nobody ever gets back to you. This place should be investigated by Trading Standards and closed down. Absolute cowboys.

If you're not convinced yet reading these reviews here's yet another clue as to who you will be dealing with: - they're not responding to emails. - on chat they're promising to call you back, they never do. - over the telephone they're promising to call you back, they never do. - tracked letter sent by Royal Mail (to the address provided in the Welcome Pack) bounced back as unable to locate / identify the recipient. Trustpilot is asking to "leave out offensive words" and I did. That was the most difficult part of the review.

I've never ever thought an energy company could be this bad. There's no portal to register meter readings. You never know if your account is in credit or in deficit, you just receive invoices. I advised the company I was leaving in February and provided final readings. Since then I've sent countless emails, phoned the company many times, tried to raise a complaint - all to no avail. I just receive new invoices, and reminders that I missed the last payment. The back office seems to be located in South Africa and appear to be absolutely hopeless.

Keep away from this company very poor Customer Service Charged me twice when u call them say Accounts department will call back.....,no one ever calls you back Luckily under Direct Debit guarantee my bank got money back Wrote a complaint email someone called back told them same thing I repeated, said Account department will call back Talked to someone on chat same useless advice they will call back and sort everything out I have just switched away from this dismal company Update 9 days later called again yesterday as no one from the ‘Account Department’ called back. Very poor service still not sorted..............

Abysmal. I was switched to NEO by Switchcraft. (Also abysmal). Their communication is terrible and you can't get hold of them when you have a problem. I started paying via debit card then they sent me an emsil asking me to set up a GoCardless ddr payment instead. But they still kept taking visa payments too. When I reslised this I emailed them details and they DENIED it. They owe me money and I can't get an answer. Their phone number is pointless. Their excuse that they are only a small company and that they only have a small set up is BS. DO NOT GO WITH NEO ENERGY. SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

Yes they have a low tariff BUT the website is very unfriendly. No portal to submit a meter reading and the emailed invoice has no details of usage or even my account number. I do not know if I am in credit or deficit!!

I looked online and found Neo had the cheapest energy rates around. Yesterday morning I went online for a quote expecting to get an instant online response. Waited an hour then rang their customer service line to ask about the quote. The response was, this is customer service and you need sales. They put me through to Sandy who emailed me the tariffs. I agreed to switch. Then I read the reviews here and changed my mind. I would rather pay more elsewhere. I emailed Sandy less than an hour after talking to her and stated I had changed my mind. I also asked her not to switch my supply, not to set up a direct debit and not to take any money from my account. I also sent the same email to their help email. I asked them to confirm back to me that my requests would be adhered to. I didn’t receive any response although I did get a confirmation that they had received my email. ( always good in court). I sent the same emails again today. No response so far. It appears the reviews here are well founded. Watch out for an update. If they take any money from my account, they will have breached the direct debit rules and my bank said it will pursue them

Do not go with this company. They are cheaper but they are poor. I started on a DD, they took one payment and then didn’t apply for another. Now send me invoices for £15 a month more than first agreed. When you phone them the lady says ‘they’ will be in touch. They never do. I am 45 and have never had the urge to write a review before but I hope this helps people not to go through the pain with them. Terrible service on a grand scale. AVOID!

Citizens Advice energy comparison site shows that Neo Energy have the cheapest dual fuel tariff (only beaten by separate suppliers), therefore, I requested a quote and unlike other suppliers you have to wait for a callback, however, after 3 weeks I'm still waiting!
