I was worried about our stop cock because we had not fitted an insert when we had a leak. CS plumber explained that the insert is for black pipes - not for blue pipes and not to worry because the olive would grab the hose and make a safe connection. He could have charged a lot of money and replace the pipe but because he was honest and knew his stuff I just had to pay the call out charge.
