I stayed with Helsinglight in 2019 as an Artist in Residence and found the experience fantastic. Petra and Fredrik were extremely hospitable and helpful and the accommodation was beautiful and very comfortable. Most of all though the work space and surroundings were perfect for artistic inspiration and expression. I felt entirely at home there and am determined to make it back for another visit

Took part in the creative challenge. I have been following Helsinglight for about 2+ years now and I have always been inspired to try get there some day to take part in a course. If the way the creative challenge was run and organised is anything to go by, I can only imagine what an amazing experience it would be to join them in a course some day. Xx you can tell they work really hard and try to inspire and support everyone interested in creativity and creation.

It's a challenge that I truly enjoyed and got inspired of. I liked that we got a theme with a small inspiring thing that helped the creativity to spark at ones. It's specific but still very free. And the most fun part is to see that every sculpture from each challenger is different. Which gets you even more inspired.

The creative challenge, a cool idea with great execution! You get a package, a password and a date to look forward to, then the theme is revealed and it's time to get sculpting! At the same time you start following the other challengers to see their progress and share tips and tricks with each other. You can even hang out in a voice chat with them while sculpting! As well as a nice pastime and good opportunity to work on your sculpting skills, it is also a brilliant opportunity to admire, get inspired by and learn from the other challengers sculpting styles! The challenge itself is really fun, but the best thing is the community sprouting from it 🙂

I was a challenger in the creative challenge and it was super fun and very creative. I had the privilege to get a short visit on my way up to Umeå. I came to a creative hub and it was full of awesome people. This is what I wrote about the Creative challenge: "This was awesome. I have not used chavant clay that much and this was a fun challenge. Even though we were five participants which had the same theme, there were five different and brilliant ideas. Its was super fun to see everyones process and ideas in the making. Great way to get in touch with new people and friends. I hope this challenge will grow and perhaps become a yearly challenge. Super fun and super creative and a whole lot of fun!"

Being able to take part in House of Helsinglight’s creative challenge was incredibly exciting and it had me bring out my creativity to the fullest. It’s a really fun challenge all the way through. From the time the package arrived, the day we found out about our task to sculpting the finishing piece. It really sets your imagination and creativity going. To learn in 10 days a new way of expression, to understand the capacity of the clay and to achieve a final result. It‘s a creative journey to the fullest, and I love it! I really recommend House of Helsinglight
