Only suitable for small stone chips, any larger areas look a mess. At £40 I think the kit is pricey, touch up pens/paint pots will do as good a job if not better.

So our new (second-hand) MG had a few chips on the bonnet, some had been poorly filled before so I wanted these sorted before the dreaded rust sets in. The kit from Chipex is very comprehensive, providing more than enough product to last for years. Very easy to apply, quick to dry. The main appeal for me was the blending solution which allows you to level the paint when it has dried. I think this is the thing that allows the repair to truly 'dissapear' I think I may need a second coat of the paint after blending too much. It helps to read the instructions! All in all, it does what it says on the tin! In fact, I went out to take some photos post-repair and I struggled to find some of the smaller spots I had painted earlier!

Delivery fast and easy to use kit with clear instructions, can be used on some bigger marks than a chip as I used on light scratches. When blending use a little more pressure than indicated to get a better result then build the paint up. Overall very impressed

This was my first experience with Chipex. There is a learning curve in terms of how much paint to apply and how best to use the blending solution so as to not remove too much paint again. But the colour match for Tesla midnight silver is excellent and the end result is that chips are now very difficult to see with the naked eye even when you know where they were. Very pleased.

Easy to use product which is perfectly colour matched and has transformed a couple of very unsightly scratches on my wifes car. Must better than a touch up pen and although you pay more, trust me you do get what you pay for and the investment is worthwhile.

Simple to use with clear instructions. Definitely made the car look better than it did before. I will certainly purchase Chipex again for my other cars.

Sent me the wrong size bottle, but sorted it out quickly Product is excellent, been buying for many years, although it’s a great product I think the pricing is now getting to the max price I would pay,at the end of the day there are other cheaper alternatives, not as good I know but sometimes a nessesity in the present economic situation, maybe more basic kits would be an idea

Used it today I have mixed feelings about it firstly there is nothing in the kit to help clean off any razed edges so when you put the paint on and use the blender the razed edges are still there so does not look good the second thing the paint is a good colour match when wet but when dry and blended it goes a darker colour

Really good product for the price, way better than anything you’d buy from your local auto shop and if you put the time and effort aside you really can get it looking invisible and as good as a Smart repair or respray.

Even when there was a problem with the packaging they sorted it out immediately very happy

Had a couple of chips/scratches from people slamming their door into mine . Anyway one was quite large and I was worried about covering it. I needed have worried, the chippex kit was a perfect colour match for my car and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I’m happy these chips are covered now and you can barely see them without getting up close!

First time I've ever attempted to touch up stone chips and a significant scratch on the door. The instructions for using Chipex seemed too simple at first, but it works. You need to use very light pressure when removing the excess paint, otherwise you 'empty' the chip as well. repair is not invisible but I'm very pleased with the result.

Third time buying a chipex touch up kit, first one was back in 2011 and was amazed at how well it worked! You’ve got to be really careful with the amount of blending solution and pressure you apply as you can actually rub the paint out the chip, but once you get it right the results are perfect!
