United Kingdom | 08 September 2023Mower ok so far. Would have liked the option to buy it with 2 off 4AH batteries instead of the 2AH + 4AH as it only just manages to cut my lawn on a single charge. The delivery packaging was totally inadequate for such a large and heavy machine.

United Kingdom | 07 July 2023Everything was good only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was that there was no contact from courier to give a time window so I had to wait in, and there didn't seem any way to track courier

United Kingdom | 26 June 2023Ordering process was easy, though I did not receive an email confirming dispatch or tracking number. When I contacted them to check it had been shipped was informed no tracking number was available…very odd for a high ticket item! Assembly instructions are unhelpful to say the least. Lawnmower appears fairly well made, started first pull & cuts well.

United Kingdom | 26 May 2023When I bought my Atco ride on the first time I went on it and the steering wheel came out and I landed in a tree. Second time the drive belt snapped, so had it fixed and serviced. Third time was the cutting deck came loose so had it fixed then had a service.£400.00 Emailed Atco and they told me to go the person who sold it to me. So they fixed it but really should had exchange it. Fourth time the cutting deck was put on incorrectly and the drive belt snapped.another cost Fifth the engine would start so the guys fixed it £400 Sixth time the engine wouldn’t start forgot to do something?another cost. Seventh time cut the grass after had all fixed and serviced the cutting deck has come off again I am so frustrated as the cost is too much when I bought the ride on from new so I could rely on it

United Kingdom | 08 May 2023Recently bought an Atco Liner 16S from an independent dealer. Emailed Atco/ Stiga’s Customer services to ask for an electronic copy of the operating manual and the same for my older model Quattro 15S. Received a reply within 24 hours with the 2 manuals. Good products, helpful and prompt customer service. Would highly recommend.

United Kingdom | 25 April 2023Had the part which was good, expensive but not too bad for a genuine part. Web site seemed to suggest I could get it next day but that turned out to be misleading. No tracking information was provided and when I telephoned to ask where it was ATCO didn’t know and told me to expect 3-5 days. It turned up later the same day in the post. So a frustrating experience which could have been avoided by the website saying delivery 3-5 days by Royal Mail. It was a pig to fit but that’s another story!

United Kingdom | 20 April 2023I truly hate, yes " hate "this mower. Atco " Classic " 20s Rotory type. You need Herculean arms to start the thing, and I play golf every day so should not be that difficult. A woman could not start this mower. The grass box is difficult to fit in and out and when full its a nightmare trying to get it through the gap of the handles..very bad for the back. Dangerous is word for the sprung lid/grass box cover. The spring action is so powerful you could lose a finger. The clip on wheel trims are a joke. They just keep falling off, why do they have them in the first place? The biggest nightmare though is the suggestion that it is supposed to be self pulling my main purpose for buying it. It's a joke. I spend more time manually pushing the thing. And no, my grass is not too long. In fact its a new lawn, so not to dence yet. It just won't pull as the smooth plastic wheels just spin. I bought the S 20 for a good wide cut to speed things up. Waste of money I tend to cut only half a strip keeping one wheel on the already cut grass to get som traction. The drive wheels are far too smooth and narrow and the apparent tred is another joke. I'm thinking of putting some kind of short spike into the drive wheels to stop the slipping. It cuts well enough, and if your grass is around an inch high then it probably does what it says on the tin. God knows what it must be like on any kind of small slope. This is my first rotary having used rollers before now, so it is one Hell of a transformation, buy one at your Peril. Addendum. Sinse writing my review which I continue to stand by. I have tried cutting my grass more often and at a higher setting. I can say therefore that if you do not allow your grass to grow above three inches or so and do not try to cut it too short at one pass. The mower will pull without needing any assistance from yourself. My advice therefore is. Keep your grass shortish and cut it frequently without taking too much off. That way all should be well. This note was added on the 23May23. One more thing to consider. The grass box is made of a plastic lid on a nylon sack/bag. The bottom rear edge of this bag particularly when full drags on the ground. The net effect of this is that it will wear away very quickly making the bag usless, particularly if you run the mower over a hard surface like a garden path. I have attached a strip of hard plastic to the area effected to prevent premature wear. Strange thig is the manufacturer has done this to the front edge of the bag, but this part seems not to drag on the ground. I do wonder what the R&D team were thinking that day. And no I don't have a down on ATCO. IN ALL OTHER RESPECTS IT DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO. P.S. I have abandoned trying to keep the right hand wheel trim on the wheel. Just keeps falling off. Maybe it's me.

Spain | 10 April 2023This is a reply to ATCO's response (10/04/2023) to my review of 04/04/2023. The issues I outlined in my review are not rocket science and easy to understand. ATCO could very easily offer solutions through Trustpilot - that is, if they have solutions. I would draw attention to a review by Mr. Jeff Ely (19/09/2022), complaining of similar issues to mine with an ATCO lawnmower. It would appear, that after contacting ATCO, Mr. Ely was directed to an authorised repairer, at his own expense. My problem is, nothing is broken and in need of repair: it is an issue of very poor design. Do ATCO have a better designed grass box that will fit my S20 model? I suspect they have. I shall be happy to provide my address in order to receive one, at no cost to me. Come on ATCO, I have just spent a lot of money on one of your new lawnmowers and, quite reasonably, expect it to work properly - currently, "not fit for purpose" comes to mind. Thank you.

United Kingdom | 20 September 2022I brought an Atco GTX36H in July. I brought it from a local dealer ( Norton Garden Machinery) because I like to see things in person and I wanted somewhere local for services or if there was an issue in the future. Their service is exemplary just incase anyone is close enough to them and thinking about it. Anyhow, I went with the GTX36H because my garden was 1.5 acres and wild. Wild level - aka- my dads unhinged shetland sheep had lived on it for 3+ years. They ate the trees and hedges and flowers and not the grass so it had turned into a field of head high weeds, the ground was rough and uneven with wild grass a couple of foot high. It was demoralising to look at, unless you were one of the rabbits. Rabbits have infact been living their best life there, just not my children. I did spray SBK weedkiller first and pull out the really tall weeds as the stems were so thick I didn't want to be left with a field of designer stubble (tried patches with a strimmer and that was the outcome). So I was still left with a wild field with slopes everywhere, rough ground, bracken and shorter weeds. I now have a lawn! The first cut was with the shoot on to leave it all on the ground. Once it dried I hoovered it up with the mower. Then cut again a couple of times on 7 (highest cut) and I can now go down to a 4 in some parts and 5 in others. I repeat, I have a lawn! The mower is easy to use and if it can cope with what its had to deal with here, I don't know what would count as "too much" for it. You can change cutting height whilst going, the collection basket is huge and the controls are simple with a forward and reverse pedal. Thank you Atco!

United Kingdom | 09 August 2022Great lawnmower that does everything we want, not the cheapest but seems well built and easy to use. Particularly like the delivery from a local dealer, they even took our old mower away.

United Kingdom | 18 July 2022I have had my Atco Classic 18s for two months now, very impressed with the cut however I’m having to do twice the work as my grass collector keeps bursting open and becoming detached therefore grass everywhere! I contacted the service centre today (17.07.2022) to be practically questioned as to how I assembled said part and after telling them what I had done, may I add the correct way, I was still stood it was wrong and it’s a common problem with people not fitting the part properly! I unfortunately work away from Home so can’t take it directly into a local dealer as requested however when I get the chance I will endeavour to do so which I know the my won’t able to do anything for this. For me it’s a poor design, once the weight of the grass gets within the bag it can hold said grass as it sit later too low. For me the only fix for this box would be for me to drill two more bolts in told hold the box together which I should not need to do. I’ve tried all means but it continues to unlatch and appears extremely cheap. This causes the grass to spill out each side and is useless Any advice on how to move forward would be appreciated. To be told you require videos of the fault isn’t going to rectify this issue.

United Kingdom | 13 July 2022Really good service overall and I am very pleased with my new self-propelled petrol lawnmower. I would, however, have preferred the machine to be delivered ready assembled. Although I managed to assemble it myself, it certainly wasn’t easy.

United Kingdom | 06 July 2022The CP1-484 is quite a sturdy, well built machine, but... the grass box is a piece of nonsense, rides too low to the ground, actually brushes on the ground when it becomes around half full, can't help but think thus increases drag, and therefore excess fuel use / motor wear. Not a minor point these days.

United Kingdom | 28 June 2022I have purchased an Atco 16S Li lawnmower from Lawnmowers Direct, who are part of the Ernest Doe group of companies. The machine itself performs beautifully but I cannot use it because I am only 5 feet 3 inches tall and the handles are not adjustable. I have had no joy with either Lawnmowers Direct or Atco regarding this issue. The instruction manual gives clear advice on how to adjust the handles and yet, they aren't adjustable. This is an expensive lawnmower and the instructions are misleading. DO NOT BUY THIS MOWER UNLESS YOU ARE AT LEAST 5 FOOT 8 INCHES IN HEIGHT. I am now going to search out some platform shoes in the hope the extra height will enable me to use this otherwise lovely product. Lovely people at both Lawnmowers Direct and Atco, but no help available.
