United Kingdom | 27 January 2023I was looking for a specific product and came across this website and I discovered the product I was looking for had more variations i didn’t know about so I purchased all of them. I placed my order on Tuesday, got an email confirmation immediately and a couple of hours later got an email confirming my order has been dispatched. Friday morning it arrives, extremely well packaged and all products intact and with BBD of nine months to two years. I’m very happy and will use this company again. Thank you.

United Kingdom | 01 December 2022I’m disgusted with this company and advise you not to order from them. I ordered 4 packets of their biscuits after having got some in a hamper in the summer and thought they’d make good xmas presents even though prices were at a premium. I ordered them in good time for Xmas. When they arrived I just opened the lid of the box to check what had arrived. There was no need to take them all out because they arrived in a massive box with polystyrene chippings so you’d expect them to be well protected and I wrongly assumed that the service would be good. I stowed them in a safe place until today (end of November) when I began wrapping Xmas presents. I took them all out of the box carefully but found two of the packets were damaged. The lid wouldn’t close on one and the other box was dented. I doubted this happened in transit with all that protection so they must have been like that before going in the box. I sent an email with pictures asking for two replacements. Not an unreasonable request and most decent companies who value your custom would oblige. Even if they’d been just for me I wouldn’t expect them to arrive like this but I can’t give substandard goods as presents. I care about presentation even if this company doesn’t care about its customers. The email wasn’t automatically acknowledged so I phoned them up. I didn’t get the name of the male on the other end. It started off OK but then he tried to make out I could close the lid from the photo. I mean would I have bothered going to the trouble to complain if that was the case? I’m disabled and have to order most things online but mostly things arrive in good condition and if not companies are only too happy to make sure you’re a satisfied customer. I might have even let one of them go but two damaged was shoddy. I told him I couldn’t get the lid in and he talked over me. I should have let customer services deal with it as he originally suggested but then he offered to look at the email and said because it had been sent two weeks so ago or so it was outside the time! Really? I didn’t know that biscuits had such a short use by date. On their website their policy states 30 day guarantee of refund. So I asked to speak to the manager because his customer attitude stunk. Then he said he would hang up on me because I was raising my voice. Again he should have defused the situation if he values his customers but he hung up and blocked me from phoning back. By now I was doubly incensed. I sent another email asking for an apology on top of the replaced goods and also sent a message on Facebook about my terrible experience. The automatic message came through first but when I tried to ask for a response I’d been blocked there too. This has all the hallmarks of a bad company with something to hide and worried about bad reviews on their page. Most companies care about customer service these days but this was like a throwback to the seventies where the customer was doubted, put on the defensive and having to argue their case. And there’s me thinking companies need all the customers they can get. Don’t bother with his company. Their biscuits might be tasty but their woeful attitude if something goes wrong will leave a nasty taste that even their biscuits won’t erase. I shan’t be buying from them again

United Kingdom | 31 October 2022Wonderful company to deal with and fantastic products! Have ordered from Fennel and Ginger a couple of times and each time the service received has been nothing short of perfect. The first order I placed I had an issue with my card payment (my issue following a recent house move and therefore security check); but they called me back and helped out and got everything sorted. On my most recent order I ordered their "Mystery Box" which really made my daughters day, as she unpacked each surprise item she commented that it was as though they'd deliberately chosen everything specifically for her - a really lovely selection. Cannot recommend them more highly. I'd previously ordered many of the products directly from the manufacturers, but this company have almost all our favourites in one easy to use simple online store. Thank you!
