The lady I talk to about my insurance policy was very accomodating, very friendly and very clear. Although every sales person is like that most of the time. The price offered to me is fair and reasonable.

Initial chat was fine but after first half of policy agreed, the phone calls, emails and texts seemed relentless and I was busy working so simply got annoyed with constant contact. Should have and could have been all done in one email or call, not several. It was thoroughly hard work with legal and general having absolutely zero communication skills making the better protect system very slow and as if they hadn't provided correct information etc. I had to phone them as couldn't speak to L&G directly to sort out the disorganised mess.

The policy review went perfect, there was no problem at all, reviewer couldn't be more helpful, however, we were not advised at any point that because we've paid in advance for our existing policy, this could not be cancelled which meant that for a month or so we had to be charged for both new and existing policy. It is unacceptable that we were not informed of this at the point of sale and therefore we were not given the chance to decide when we wanted the new policy to start so that we wouldn't get double charged.

I took out a 5 year life insurance policy through Better Protect in 2012, and did not renew it in 2017 as I no longer needed it. I now keep getting phone calls from Better Protect to ‘review my requirements’ and they won’t accept that I’ve cancelled the policy. During the phone call in January they told me I’m still paying the premiums when I’m not, and haven’t done for over 2 years! I hope from today’s phone call they will remove my name from their database and stop ringing me.
