I purchased a Citroen Berlingo in Jan 23 with low mileage 18k within two months it has had a emissions fault for the last 8 months on and off I have had it back and forth to Citroen and Evans Halshaw Ford and a local garage in Blackpool/Horwich numerous times to reset but still have same fault, Citroen has now advised it’s a catalytic converter but warranty refused to pay for the item as advised I have done too many miles it’s only at 50k so been conned not only with the car purchase as it’s probably a known fault but warranty is not worth the paper it’s written on,so I now have a bill for £1880 even though as previously been stated salesman advised everything was covered I am thinking of taking this further as the fault started when the car had only done 25k so I feel this should have been honoured I await your reply

Avoid taking the warranty. Take ages to reply and when they do it’s to refuse claims even before you have discussed the problem. Impossible to get hold of on phone. It’s another scam that salesman push on you! All the other positive reviews will be fake.

Complete and utter waste of money – they just refuse payment for everything, even for a repair that Evans Halshaw told me the Guarantee would cover. The product is not what I’ve been told it was and – as I found out today – is non-cancellable. A very expensive lesson and an incredibly frustrating, fruitless and negative experience with Pendragon Vehicle Management and Evans Halshaw. AVOID!

I bought a Nissan Qashqai from Evans Halshaw, Shiremoor in June 2023 and purchased the 3 year extended Pendragon warranty having been assured that I would have no worries should anything go wrong. The dashboard started to show the System Failure warning and I arranged to take the car back to Shiremoor to have it looked at. They lokked at it and told me it would need to go to Evans Halshaw Sunderland as they are the Nissan dealership. I took the car to Sunderland to be informed that the camera needed replacing however it was not covered by warranty, The car was: 1.Still within the 3 months of warranty given at purchase when the fault developed. 2. Has done less than 1000 miles since purchase of fault developing. 3. I paid circa £800 for a warranty that does not appear to take account of this issue, having been told it covered everything other than tyres, oil etc. etc. I contacted Pendragon following being informed by Evans Halshaw Sunderland that their request for funding has been rejected and that it will cost me circa £1000 to have this fault put right! I am hoping that sense will prevail and that the hundreds of checks carried out by Evans Halshaw as advertised in the used cars advertisements will result in someone accepting responsibility for selling a car with a fault while selling an expensive warranty that does not do what I was informed it would do.

Big thank you to Louise for ensuring my warranty claim was processed without any hick ups. I have made several claims on the premium Guarantee and all been accepted. I would strongly advise anyone who has taken out the warranty to read the small print, this way you know what you are covered for under the warranty And keep on the right side of the T&Cs. They have a service follow up where you can reach out for help & assistance

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! If I could give it less than one star I would! They refused to honour my warrantee even though it doesn’t state anywhere that this said part wasn’t covered. I rang up to discuss and they were no help at all and made me feel like I was stupid. Do not get this warranty

When we bought our car from Evans Halshaw we also took out the Pendragon 2yr Premium Guarantee. It was expensive at £600 but we were told it was great coverage and total peace of mind. Four months after buying car, we started having issues with the gears - randomly would not allow gears to be selected. Very dangerous especially for a new driver who had just passed her test. All Evans Halshaw garages within a 50mile radius currently have a four-week waiting list for accepting cars. But we were informed we could use our local VAT registered garage to investigate the car. Long story short. Fault found and Pendragon accepted fault was a warranty repair. The Final repair bill was £ 881.66. However Pendragon refunded me only £ 457.20. No email, no correspondence, just this token amount paid into my account 28 days after I supplied the invoice to them. I did not spend £600 on a warranty so I could spend another £430 towards a warranty repair. Pointless warranty coverage. I strongly suggest keeping your money. Should you have a repair that falls within the warranty it will not save you from paying out even more.

I brought a car from evans halshaw and was sold the 3 year warranty. 1 year later my engine management light came so I took the car back. After the garage looked at the car the same it was an adblue injector and egr cooler at fault. After looking g at my paperwork they both are covered ie printed in black/white but I was told its not an injector they cover!! Now I have a car in bits and the garage are looking into why it's not covered. Included items Fuel/induction Injectors are listed!! Cooling system Egr cooler listed What's the point of spending £1000 on warranty if they don't cover what they say, sure this is miss selling?!?!

Withholding of repayment on return of shoddy vehicle. Do not trust this company. Evans Halshaw gave me a very bad customer experience, lying about the service and status of the car. When faced with independent analysis, they immediately offered to take the vehicle back. Then to the issue of a refund from Pendragon. 5 working days has become 9 working days since collection and still counting. Reading down this list (and for EH) watch out for a generic ‘bot-like’ “we are sorry about your experience” response. All hot air. Very poor service. Buyer beware or just avoid at all costs.

Excellent company, I had taken out the 3 year extended warranty when purchasing my car and I'm so glad I did as the engine recently went and needed to be replaced, it has honestly been the most hassle free service from start to finish making the claim, the communication and speed of processing it has been excellent. Massive thanks to Paul Duffin for getting everything sorted so quickly.

Absolute joke of a company paid for a 36 month warranty had car 24 months problems with electrics .plus coils said my warranty is void as I missed an oil change with 44 days when I bought the car they told me service every 7500 miles which I did I had serviced at 6500 miles but they said it should be done annually and was going to service again but they said warranty voided because my service was overdue by a month and a bit when I've only done 13000 since buying the car they won't answer phone calls and I would like refunded for the next 12 month warranty because if void why should they keep my money .absolute disgrace of a company no feed back from them at all.

My son bought his car from The Carstore Coventry. Took out a 2 year warranty. Had nothing but trouble in the first 12 months. Brakes, aircon, wheel bearing and finally the gearbox went. Had a new gearbox fitted by a reputable, VAT registered garage. Only to be told that they required photos of the gearbox before paying out.Basically didn’t trust my son or the garage. Supplied invoices as proof of payment and work. After numerous phone calls and emails, my son lost heart and bit the bullet and took the £1600 hit. Disgusted with the lack of support my son received. Make sure you go over the small print with a fine tooth comb before taking out the warranty.

Great Service by Gail and the team as always. They are always willing to help even when I throw them curve balls like my requirements for the biggest car possible that they can find as replacement they are always willing to go above and beyond to assist where they can.
