United Kingdom | 03 April 2020Very disappointed with Fisks. Due to leave at the end of April. Fisks have not followed Government Guidelines. No consultation at all. Fisks have written we have to leave so that the Landlord can get more rent. Fisks will not insist on a professional clean so the cleaners are safe but the inventory clerk, removers, third parties who may contract COVID-19 from them or us and the NHS staff are at risk and are not as important as the Landlord obtaining a higher rent. Further, Fisks believe that they have to do whatever their landlord tells them to do, even if that is wrong and that’s a complete defence. To think that the health of many is irrelevant to a rent increase for the landlord is the most disappointing of Fisks’s thinking.

United Kingdom | 12 March 2020Was trying to rent through Fisks Canary Wharf. Had to negotiate as another tenant was also interested in the property, which i totally understand. I was then informed my offer was accepted and asked to make a deposit which I did. Couple of hours after signing the deposit, I was told the other tenant’s offer had been accepted. I just fail to understand how unprofessional can this agency be that after taking my deposit, they continue to make that property available. Also, when the property agent asked me to deposit one week rent to secure the property, he asked me to also deposit the 5 weeks rent as soon as possible. When asked why I should this, he told me to make sure I don’t walk away from the propriety. I told him that’s why tenants are asked to pay 1 week deposit and the landlord doesn’t pay a penny! They did finally come to senses and agreed to not put the deposit before moving in. But look at the approach they want to take. What about commitment from the landlord. Also seems unfair that tenants deposit is gone if the tenants withdraw the offer after making the deposit but no such penalty for landlord. Very unhappy with the professional approach of the company. Further to the response below from Fisks, I would like to add few thoughts. If it’s true that you can hide review below 3 stars, that’s a real shame as it defeats the purpose of this platform. It’s not for you but Trustpilot to fix it. It’s like choosing only reviews someone likes. As you would appreciate, there are other ways to provide feedback, not just trustpilot. Furthermore, at no point I was told that any other offer has been accepted by the landlord. I was also never informed that the other tenant had made a deposit. I also don’t believe it’s true. If an offer was accepted by the landlord and a deposit made, what did you continue to negotiate with me and why wasn’t I informed earlier. I was always told the other party has increased his offer price and that landlord is reviewing both offers. Why would you bring this up only now - seems fishy to me. I would also like to clarify that I am okay to not have the property. What I am disappointed with is your professionalism which I think isn’t great. I have taken a screenshot just in case you choose to hide this later.

You also get to deal with the same people because their staff turnover seems very low, at least with the people we work with they've been looking after us for years. The team there really make a good fist of it on our behalf and are a fair bunch of nice people, I would recommend highly.
