United States | 21 March 2025Untrustworthy Contractor - Non-Payment Issue with Green Home Systems (GHS) I am compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with Green Home Systems (GHS). As a subcontractor, I completed all tasks as agreed, which included obtaining permits, executing the installation, and passing inspections with the local municipality. Everything was performed professionally and on schedule. However, after several months, GHS has failed to make the promised payment for the work completed. I have reached out multiple times to resolve this issue, but my efforts have been met with silence and unfulfilled promises. This lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable for a company that claims to value its partnerships. I strongly advise anyone considering working with Green Home Systems to exercise caution. Their refusal to honor financial obligations has caused significant disruptions to my business. I hope this review serves as a warning to others to avoid the stress and frustration I have endured.

United States | 05 March 2025We contracted with Green Home Systems on 5/18/22 to install a solar system for our home. The contract stated that work would be complete in six months. The system was not completed and online until 1/16/24; twenty months after the contract was signed, 14 months late. Despite the fact that the system was not functional, we began being billed for it (while also paying Xcel) at the rate of $250 per month. This continued for five months before the system went online and became functional. We were told by our project manager that we would be reimbursed for these payments more than 18 months ago, but still have received no such reimbursement. Our system then failed 5/22/24; less than six months after it was finally put online. Though the contract states we have a 25-year warranty on parts and labor, repeated contacts with Green Home Systems, asking for repair to the system we contracted for, went unanswered. No one even came out to access the problem for months and the system was not even partially repaired until 9/28/24. That is an additional 129 days without service from a system we contracted and paid for. And it was another 87 days before the battery was replaced and the system was fully functional. Run, do not walk away from this totally unethical company!

United States | 05 February 2025Terrible company! They sent the wrong number of panels, didn’t send all the equipment promised (an EV car charger), didn’t seem to know how to design an efficient solar system, made promises they couldn’t keep, took 5 months to do the installation (and still didn’t get it right), began charging my loan before the system was working, and then it only worked for 3 ½ months. The inverter quit working in July 2023 and the company has not been able to get anyone to come fix it. They quit answering phone calls and emails long ago. The inverter is under warranty, but I could not get the manufacturer to approve an installer in my area to come see what the problem is so I could get a refund or replacement—they said I have to get GHS to find an installer. Even the loan company tried to help me, but said GHS would not answer the phone or return calls. Steer clear of this company!!

United States | 26 August 2024It has now been 11 months since my solar system was installed by Green Home Systems. I still have not received the information needed to sell what I generate (this is violation of contract). I have not been reimbursed for the 2 months of payments made while system was nonoperational (also violation of contract). The wiring problems have not been fixed (again violation of contract). Green home Systems have given me the impression that they do not plan on dealing with any of this. They seem to be hiding behind a clause in the contract that says you need to go to California to bring any legal action against them and are betting that the cost of doing so is more that the cost of the problems. I sincerely believe that this company is nothing but a fly by night that delivers minimum service for maximum cost to customer. Even though I give Green Home systems a 1star rating I firmly believe it should be zero stars because of their bad performance and repeated contract violations thus far.

United States | 16 July 2024This company makes promises they cannot fulfill. It took them a year to get started, and then half way through they fraudulently stated the project was finished so the finance company would disburse payment! The quality of workmanship, for what was done, was amateur at best. Now I have a half completed solar project with exposed wires laying on top of the ground, not connected to anything. Wind gusts keep blowing the solar panels off of the rack because they are not fastened properly. They keep sending new people out to finish the installation b ut, when they get here they are unprepared for how much still needs to be done, so nothing gets done! It's a mess!!! Run from GHS!

United States | 19 June 2024They are nothing but con artists and theives. Because of so many mistakes on their end. Robby the CEO (the most unprofessional person I have ever talked to) put it in writing that they would cover costs. I was forced to finance my federal tax credit just because I financed a solar loan. I was told that they apply it to my loan later. Well all I am getting is the run around 1 year later. I am going to have to get a lawyer to get the money paid to me that was promised In Writing. They are con artists and scammers. It only takes 3 people to do a class action law suit. Contact me if there are any takers for this.

United States | 19 June 2024I signed up with the company looking at the Forbes reviews, I was helped by Harold Sheilds in sales who stated that we would have the system installed within 90 days. He did recommend that we get a new roof because the roof is aging and that the solar panels life is about 25 years. I did not need a new roof but went ahead and took care of that thankfully I did not finance with their company, which is what he was recommending and hoping that I would do, that was back in September 2023. My township has certain requirements however they do have workarounds which have to be filed by the installer/ installing company. They have given me a runaround for the past nine months and have refused to take care of business with multiple excuses and no concrete work being done project manager Erika Duart is not capable of returning any calls on time but she also has no idea what she is doing or is interested in taking care of business. I’m down $25,000 for the roof plus the money that I gave them which is about $9000 , Harold told me today that he cannot care less if I do not wanna care business with them. It is a lousy company which is out there to scam. People take their money and not do anything. They were being offered cash for the services and obviously wanted to be happy with just a down payment on almost a $60,000 system system. I’m sure I’m only gonna do this but also follow up with the lawsuit against this lousy company. Please do not adjust them with your business.

United States | 07 June 2024We did a project for this company in June of 2023 and still have not been paid.

United Kingdom | 27 May 2024Absolute nightmare of a company with problems before they even started. Incompetent, liars, disgraceful workmanship to the point whether I wonder whether they were actually genuine tradesmen. Cut every corner they could, leaving a shocking job that would never pass building standards. This company needs shut down. AVOID at all cost!!!!!!

United States | 15 May 2024This company is terrible! It lies, cheats, and mistreats its customers. They are NOT located in 20+ states - THEY SUBCONTRACT their work!! I asked this a thousand times and they insisted tehy were locatlly based - They're not!! Do NOT beleive teh 5-star reveiws you may be reading. If you cannot leave a review yourself on any site that shows 5-star reviews, then they put those there. Use the BBB to see the truth. ALSO, THEY ARE NOT BBB + accredited like they state tehy are. Spare yourself!

United States | 01 May 2024They need to keep their word and pay the people that they owe. They are operating illegally. Taking people's money and leaving them with systems that do not work. It hurts the individual and the entire solar community.

Alec Archer
United States | 18 April 2024The company owes me money and they have since the beginning of July 2023 it is now April 2024. When I contacted them about the money they owe me they told me that I just have to wait until it is convenient for them to pay me as they can't or won't at this time.

Shayla Bos
United States | 05 April 2024In a CONTRACT, they have signed and my husband has signed, it states they owe us $868. Part of that amount is a rebate for going solar (in writing in a contract signed by both parties), and the other part of that amount is a payment owed to us for their clerical error in entering our address (payment is also in a signed contract), resulting in excessive power bills from the utilities company due to switching to solar. They have owed us this money for SIX MONTHS going on SEVEN with constant communication in attempts to collect. And constantly being told the check will be mailed the next day checks are sent out or that it was already mailed (has never showed up). Robbie Herbert is an absolute joke, sarcastic, passive aggressive, condescending but worst of all, a LIAR. I sent a demand letter for payment, 7 business days ago demanding payment in 2 weeks. Which has been acknowledged, forwarded to the company lawyer, and then ignored. I have filed a complaint with the BCA, will now be looking at filing a bad business complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, state of California, state of Nevada (state the work was completed in), and any other avenue I can. We are now looking at pursuing this in the court of law in 7 more business days. DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY!!! They have terrible business ethics.

United States | 15 March 2024I am a contractor that was hired for several installs by GHS. It has been a year since we finished these installations and we are still waiting on payment. They have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT SELECT THEM FOR YOUR SOLAR INSTALL. They make promises and do not keep them.

Barbara Smith
United States | 14 March 2024Had given a fantastic review, but I just got Permission to operate after almost 15 months. This only after the bank that financed took over project. Paying for both the solar panels and electric is really difficult on Social Security!!!

Yael Friedman
United States | 14 March 2024The positive reviews are fake. Reread them and you can tell. They are lying about the BBB rating. They only care about their bottom line and ignore you once they install the solar. They push for bad panels just to be able to sell them faster. Absolutely horrible company! Very unethical and unprofessional they lie about everything. Pay attention to the one sided horrible contract! Do not sign it! They should be ashamed of their business methods.

United States | 03 March 2024Ordered an expensive upgraded part to our solar system since their monitoring became obsolete less than 2 years after purchasing a 50k solar system. Another $1200 to allow us see how our system is performing. Purchased in January to receive in the mail in 10 days. Questioned the company a month later and received no response. Reached out 2 weeks later threatening to reverse charges before I received a response that the product was back ordered. Almost 3 months later and product or services have not been rendered. Would not recommend.
