United Kingdom | 03 September 2024A word of warning, Power Tools UK lists Items on their webstore as being in stock, when they are in fact, NOT in stock. Placed an order for a Milwaukee M12 detail sander on the 29th Aug 2024, with 2-3 days delivery (should have been delivered 3rd/4th Sept). On the 3rd Sept 24, I had still not received an email advising dispatch and checking my order history on their website showed the order still as "Pending". When I placed my order the item showed as in stock and when checking my order status on the 3rd Sept, it was still showing as in stock. So I emailed and asked if there was a problem to be told... "our stock delivery has unfortunately been delayed from Milwaukee. As the carriers have tried to deliver it twice after 6pm when we are closed!! They are meant to be here today, hopefully they will. This will be with you Thursday/Friday." The only reason I haven't given 1 star is they at least replied to my email in a prompt and courteous manner. That said, all things considered, an offer of upgrading to next day delivery is the least they could have done, I can only assume the fact they did not is because how often they probably pull this stunt off. If I didn't need it quickly I could have ordered elsewhere that was cheaper but had it listed as "pre-order/awaiting stock", I ordered from Power Tools UK as hey were the cheapest price showing as in stock. DO NOT list items as in stock if they are NOT IN YOUR WAREHOUSE. ***UPDATE*** A day later and still no sign of my order having been dispatched, so I placed a replacement order elsewhere and sent a message asking to cancel and refund my order. Again I received a prompt, but much less polite message stating "Ok, it has left with the carrier, I will get it returned to us. Then we will refund it back to you." Curious, my order status on their website still shows as "Pending" and I have had no emails or other messages from either Power Tools UK or a courier to indicate that the order has indeed been dispatched... More lies ? Either way, I've dropped the rating now to 1 star and I will in future never using this store again.

United Kingdom | 16 July 2024Disappointing experience, item never arrived with apparent problems with supplier, despite showing in stock and 3 day delivery,I have since ordered from another company, which have it in stock and are delivering tomorrow. A positive though, the staff i spoke to were polite and helpful and are issuing a refund. Had previously used this company few years back and were great so maybe just a one off.

United Kingdom | 29 June 2024Took my payment & accepted my order, I spoke to a member of staff via email who never even mentioned that my item was out of stock until over 24hrs later when they just cancelled my order with no reason whatsoever until I emailed them to find out why it had been cancelled. Pathetic excuse that the item was no longer in stock & that I will receive a refund in a number of days. Funny how you soon take the payment but can't send it back soon enough isn't it? If you didn't advertise items that you don't have in stock in the 1st place then you wouldn't keep messing people around would you! Your business along with your pathetic staff are a joke, hopefully you'll not stay in business long with your care free disrespect for customers & their money!!!

They had the audacity to query why I wanted a delivery sent to a different address to the registered card address and then when I called up, the woman was soooooo nonselent I don't think she would have cared if the boss dropped dead in front of her!! Such an unprofessional company living in the past. Think the owner needs to read the book Who Moved My Cheese!

Considering they must have been rushed off their feet at one of the busiest times of the year the delivery came in good time. Was a little apprehensive about ordering from them based on some of these reviews but needn't have worried. What I will say is if you need the tool next day this isn't the place to go to but if you're happy to wait then go for it. Will definitely use again. Cheers.

United Kingdom | 09 October 2023I placed an order on 30/09/23 for a Bosch Strimmer (order total £274.50) with the website saying delivered in 2 to 3 working days. I contacted them on the 05/10/23 (4th working day) as I hadn't received tracking details as yet. Their reply started with - 'I'm sorry you feel that way' - shocking passive aggressive behaviour for a company that is client facing. Needless to say, I cancelled my order and they did refund me (first and last thing they did correctly). I get a feeling that there's a group of people running an online business who struggle with the new age of the internet and online selling. Long story short, you get what you pay for and I wouldn't order from here again.

Whilst this is a green thing to do , it would be a good idea to inform customers that what is inside the box is not what it says on the outside of the box. Also responding to emails and not answering your query in a condesending manner would be helpful

United Kingdom | 04 June 2023Ordered an SDS-Plus hammer drill (Dewalt) and an SDS-Plus drill bit set (Bosch). Items arrived and I thought I'd better test it works. Whilst drilling a single hole in a concrete breeze block the Bosch drill bit failed, causing the end of the bit to flatten and look like a mushroom. I sent a picture of this clearly defective bit to Power Tools UK asking for a partial refund on the Bosch drill bit set and was told that they do not issue refunds until they have been independently assessed by Bosch (I'm not concerned about this as I have never had an SDS-Plus bit do this before so I'm sure it's defective). I asked for return instructions and they just say "send it back to us, we will send it Bosch", no instructions for this such as delivery address or whatever. I asked them to arrange courier collection as I am working out of country, they completely ignored and did not address my request for a courier to collect the item. Then they gave me the details of someone else who works at Power Tools UK, so I sent an email to this bloke with a photo of the issue, requesting that they arrange a courier to collect the item AGAIN. Once again the bloke responded to me without addressing my request for them to arrange collection a second time. For my order I paid £5.75+VAT for the postage, most vendors would offer free postage on a tools order of over £200, I do not expect to have to pay for a courier to collect an obviously defective item (even the bloke I spoke to stated he's never seen this in 30 years on the job). I get the impression that these people are stalling as they know that I only have a right within the first 30 days to reject their defective item under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
