Took 6 weeks to hear back when asked for proof of insurance - surely they have this already??? So sent proof straight away and now been waiting for a further response since 3rd October. Will be contacting ombudsman.

United Kingdom | 19 November 2022Bearing in mind that I've only just taken out the policy and may never have to find out how effective it is...!!... After comparing several policies, specifically in view of travelling to the Channel Islands, I found the NOW policies to provide the greatest level of cover. For example: - "UK" does NOT include Channel Islands, so the policy fully cover travel to CI. Some providers say "UK" includes Channel Islands and then state that several policy sections (including Delay, Abandonment, etc) do not apply to UK holidays! - Basic cover still includes Personal Accident benefit. - Abandoning trip Basic cover is £1000, compared to £500 with some other providers' Basic policies. - It includes Covid-19 cover as standard - at least, I assume that is what is meant by "Coronavirus" which is the term used throughout the policy, even though the common cold is a coronavirus and 'Covid-19' should be the term used if that is what is being referred to?! - There are lots of additional cover options. It was very easy to complete the application online, including the medical screening - minimal button clicking. The policy documents were all emailed immediately on payment, and are clear to read, with a separate certificate of insurance. Hoping I don't have to find out how easy it is to make a claim...

Here is my claim number call me and I can justify every single word I say below CIC/263141 First of all no human touch when handling the claims feels like you are dealing with a computer. Explained my situation proved 100% that I been treated unfairly by the Polish Government and proved that the documents they been asking me in the airport should not been asked with all the given evidence which they agreed with. Cutting long story short, even tough I wasn’t able to travel with my family but my wife made a brave decision to travel with 6y old and 1.5year old on her own overnight with connection flight. She checked in passed the security and in the departures lounge she find out that her plain has delayed and she might not be able to catch her connection flight and she will end up staying in Poland 24 hours before she can catch another plain to her final destination. This fact has caused her massive anxiety and before boarding the plain she had a panic attack and was physically unwell to board on plain with 2 young children. Insurance is replying that the stress and anxiety was caused from me not having the right document/transit visa to travel and it was her decision not board on plane. How they can write this when we find out that I cannot travel on the check in description yet she still made a decision that she will check in and borax on the plane with 2 young children. Clearly anxiety and panic attacks was caused by the plain delays and her having worries that she would be in big trouble if she can’t catch her connection flight. (Not enough spares of cloths sanitary product etc you name it.) Even tough I didn’t agree with insurance decision concerning my matter alone and I ended up accepting the fact that I am leaving in cruel world and government can do what they want to do and don’t take any responsibilities. But what concerns to my wife and 2 children they should be covered under the policy however, this particular insurance doesn’t care about their customers all they care is receiving your money. Avid this guys don’t buy their insurance policy.
