My wife and I would like to thank you and your team at Lampwise for your excellent service. We visited your store last Saturday with the intention of having a look and most probably buying online as it is generally cheaper. However, we were so impressed with your service and the time you spent with us, that we felt we had to give you the opportunity to supply us. The light fittings arrived yesterday and the bulbs arrived today. All in all under a week from when we first visited. That really is excellent customer service! Well done!

Awful customer service in the store. Tried to over charge, then said she was doing me a favour by price-matching their own website. Said the shop charges more due to the personal service and advice! The manager lies about delivery times, said the lights would be ready for pickup 3-10 days, it was in fact 6weeks! Refused to give refund unless I came back into the shop. The manager argued with me, I’ve never experienced such awful service from a shop.

Shocking service. Bought some items that that came with free delivery, only to be told it wasn't free and I owed them £66. As I was unhappy with this they agreed to drop them at my house at some point as I was local but when I chased them having heard nothing for monthes (I did say no rush but come on!) I was met with the rudest lady ever (apparently a manager) who basically made out that I was in the wrong even though they under charged me and then misled me, and said she would call back to resolve (obviously didn't!) she was truly offensive and unrepentant. I eventually paid the £66 when I called them a week later, to be rid of this awful company but still haven't received the goods and today thier phone is dead!! Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere!!!

great experience with this company! ordered some halogen bulbs from lampwise and they came really quickly, they were packaged really well and safely and used shredded cardboard instead of loads of plastic like other companies do! so was really pleased with that too :) also managed to speak to somebody on the phone very quickly, overall great experience thanks !

I'd emailed them several weeks ago about a Tiffany lamp on their website. Despite them replying that they'd check with the supplier and get back to me they never did. They also didn't respond to my follow up email asking what was going on. This shocking lack of 'service' has both lost them our expensive purchase and those of two friends who have also now bought elsewhere.

I ordered online some spotlamp bulbs and they were delivered immediately despite Covid. I found that one of the bulbs was faulty and Lampwise replaced without hesitation immediately and did not require me to return the defective one. My contact was the very helpful and pleasant Nadeem. I will certainly use Lampwise in the future

Used for the first time after a bad experience using Ryness online, and finding that Lampwise were selling the tubes I needed at a competitive price. Order dispatched very quickly. Replaced one damaged item quickly and without any nonsense as well. Excellent, friendly service. Highly recommended.

Lampwise not only provided me with the items I'd been looking for (and were hard to find elsewhere), but gave me some excellent advice that resolved a problem for me too! You'd never get that from mass commercial enterprise. Thank you to the brilliant John at Lampwise!

Ordered 2 lamps and hit a glitch on the website. Order hadn't processed but PayPal payment had. I made contact via the website explaining what had happened. Response was swift and effective. Very impressed with the customer service I got. Only dropped a star because of the initial glitch with the order.

I purchased three Philips incandescent bulbs online from Lampwise, believing that they were a good make and a reputable supplier. Each of the three bulbs failed in the same table light very quickly, so I suggested to the shop that they were probably a faulty batch and asked if they would be prepared to replace them. Their reply was: "I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with the life of the product but unfortunately, we do not replace incandescents beyond our 30-day return window. The reason for this is there are many explanations as to why an incandescent light bulb could fail such as power surges or faulty equipment that would not be the fault of the product." Any decent company would have made some offer as a goodwill gesture, but Lampwise seems not to fit into this category. My advice would be if you want good customer service don't buy from them.

I bought two lights from them and when some of the glass cracked after the warranty period they ordered me replacement ones I paid for, two different sizes and one cracked, I took them back and was told they don't make them anymore you will have to buy new ones? I actually found the glasses 1/3 price on the internet. They very expensive which if it came with customer service would be fine, but they are right the customer is wrong and overcharged for it.

I can't compliment this company enough. I needed an unusual item and they had it in stock and I received it 4 days later. They patiently checked in their stock and found it. Whatever bulb(s) you want, do try this company first.

I needed a replacement lampshade to match in with others but had no success with local shops where staff claimed that what I wanted was no longer available. In desperation I contacted Lampwise and John provided exceptional service by tracking down exactly what I needed and obtaining it from a supplier in Hungary even though there was very little profit to be made from my order. This was the kind of old fashioned personal service we all appreciate but seldom get. I have no hesitation in recommending Lampwise to anyone who values the kind of helpful service that I was lucky enough to benefit from

I purchased 4 coloured bayonet 25w lightbulbs from this store, which I have used before. In January 2019 these were £1.65 each, but on 25 January 2020 they were £2.95 each. I was told by the lady working in the shop that the increase was norm for the industry and that these bulbs were not made anymore (by Crompton). I asked the assistant if she could test them for me and she said that there was no bayonet fitting to test them, yet this was a lighting shop! When I got home I tried each one and there was one that did not work. I telephoned the shop only to be told that if I did not return it within 30 days then I couldn't get it replaced or refunded. I told the assistant that I did not live in that town and would not be returning until March as I only go there for a medical appointment. She asked if I could post it and I said that this would cost me £3.00, which was more than the cost of the bulb. When I asked if she would refund the postage, she replied “no”. I also asked if I travelled there especially, would my fuel costs be refunded and she said “no”. Therefore I feel that having been sold a faulty product, I am stuck with not being able to conform to her 30 day terms. There was no way that she was prepared to give this incident "special dispensation" Oh dear oh dear, this shop has gone downhill. Customer service training needed for the lady who works the till, which incidently prints out an incorrect time on receipts. My friend who was with me was willing to spent £2.5K on items that she saw but was waiting for her redundancy money first. Neither she or I will be visiting this shop again.

I needed to return a faulty strip bulb. It has only lasted two weeks! My first attempt I was told they would nothing without the receipt. Luckily I had kept the receipt ( due to a previous faulty bulb I bought many ago - their customer service was rubbish then too ) So I returned with my receipt and asked for a refund. They then asked for the box! This would be impossible as it went in the recycling box the day I installed it. They were pretty insistent that I present the box. I found them to be rude and aggressive in their dealings regarding a simple refund for a faulty good - again! I did however get a refund and a good insight to poor customer service. I won’t be shopping in Lampwise Stony Stratford again I’m afraid.

I was looking for a good ceiling light. I had searched almost everywhere. I either did not like the lamp or the price was too high. Then I came across lampwise website and with their wide range of products available on the site I found my perfect ceiling lights fitting. The price range at Lampwise is also reasonable and they also offer great deals. Lampwise is worth recommending - lampwise.co.uk

The lamp looks very elegant and impressive. The product is amazing and bright at the entrance. Quality is really good and definitely worth the price. It’s very easy to install, light weight and all spares are working well. The packing was done very well and the delivery was done before time. Really happy with the service of lampwise.co.uk. Highly recommended.
