I was in the market for a new hot water system and my wife and I decided that we would spend the extra money and go solar. I contacted Australian Solar Quotes thinking they would be able to help me source suppliers/installers in our local area and I explained very clearly (or so I thought) that I was not interested in solar power just hot water. For the next two days I was bombarded with phone calls from solar power providers who were not interested in giving me a quote on just hot water. All of them said I could have hot water with power but not hot water without power. I found myself apologising to all of them for wasting their time even though I believe I conveyed my requirements clearly. This on top of a very fruitless trial of Hipages means I won't use these types of services in the future and will do the legwork myself.

A friend suggested I try Australian Solar Quotes website. Well, so glad I did. This website is easy to navigate, helpful information and excellent customer service. Highly recommend.

ASQ has is very informative inc government rebates , reviews on the actual companies that you are comparing , even down too a savings calculator ! I've been thinking about installing solar power for a long time however it all seemed a bit hard and complicated, I was always worried that we would pay alot for a dodgy service. I found this website FANTASTIC at answering all my questions and clarifying what I want and need from solar panels. I found the 20 questions to ask really helpful, as well as the information on Government rebates. I am also always a bit apprehensive about ringing companies and asking questions as I hate being pushed into a corner by pushy sales people, I like the idea of getting 3 quotes to compare, and I know the companies know as I am contacting them via this website that there will be other companies providing quotes so they will have to be competitive. A great idea.

2 companies made direct contact & provided information needed. 3rd company sent a generic 'quote'

I got quotes from 4 companies 3 quoted via email + no specified systems ! just Google pic of our house with a roof full of panels! Who knows how they would be secure to roof given they are attached to batterns! Plus the never ending ph calls + emails pushing us to make quick decision to take advantage of the special price Lumax solar was a refreshing change from start to finish they came out explained everything, gave a quote No Pushy sales pitch, we chose them, a no brainer , you solar was installed within 5days , installation done with locals who again answered all questions .if you want brilliant customer service +top notch products, Lumax Solar is the 1,I highly recommend

Had 2 excellent salespeople who came to our home and one that kept harassing us by phone to deposit $300 immediately so we wouldn't miss out on the special deal that day, Needless to say we didn't go with him
