Decent spam and security plugin. Overall their plugin and service is mediocre. Their spam plugin works great and gets top marks from me. Their malware scanner is below average as they have a lot of false positives. Their support is below par as well as they have a habit of trying to gaslight you and make baseless claims such as "that specific file is fine, but the author is known for dubious work at best". When pressed for details they go into gas light mode, until you ask them if the vendor would consider their statements slander, at which point they quickly packpeddle.

I've been using Cleantalk for spam and site security for a few years now. I love that it allows you to check valid email addresses on contact forms and email newsletter sign-up forms. I also liked that you can create white and black lists. You can block IP addresses or by country. There is a bit of a learning curve but once you understand the basics it's easy to use. I liked that it funnels all of my spam messages from my contact to one location. You can read the messages and mark it as spam, block the IP, and delete the messages. You can also approve them if they are correct You get a weekly update email about the number of blocked spam messages with other security updates.

This is a very awesome service. I run several business websites (using Drupal), and as such I have "contact us" forms on each one. Dealing with spam was a constant battle, as there were very few captcha/recaptcha solutions available. I found cleantalk years ago, and have been hooked ever since.

I was exceptical the first time i read about that plugin for mybb. So, why not to try it? Tried it with the trial perido and my spam went down about 99%. With the dashborad i can make some statistics and block with iptables some "spammer countries", reducing even more the attacking surface. So i decided to give it a try for a year and bought a license. The installation was quite easy. At the beggining the dashboard could be confusing, but just a copuple of minutes taking a "tour" to learn all the basics.
