United Kingdom | 03 December 2022I booked through Britannia Driving School earlier this year., shocked that they had availability when everyone else was booked up. Jon was my driving instructor. All I can say is that he was extremely (and unnecessarily) verbally abusive throughout our lesson. He was accusing me of ruining things for other students with my bad driving on the first lesson, tutting and shouting at me, and insulting everything about me outside of my driving abilities. Things got very nasty and personal for no reason, especially considering we had only just met. There was also a lot of unnecessary physical contact and frequent xenophobic tangents (this was quite distracting when I was trying to drive). I found it wholly unpleasant, not an experience that I would ever like to repeat.

United Kingdom | 20 November 2022After I have paid £449 for an intensive course and arranged for time off work to have the lessons No one showed up on the day,and when I called they told me the lessons were accidentally cancelled and booked for other students They failed to book new lessons for me before my driving test so I had to book with another school They’ve advised me to contact them by post for a refund, it’s been 2years,I have contacted them by phone,email and post but never got a reply Whenever I call they tell me that they can’t discuss the matter as the person who picks up the phone is only a booking receptionist and I need to speak to someone from management,however they refuse to put me through to management

United Kingdom | 02 June 2022Britannia Driving School take your money and run. Avoid. I purchased six prepaid vouchers for driving lessons. They were not able to provide any instructors for months - convenient when the vouchers expire after six months. They finally had an instructor available but he cancelled 9pm the night before the first lesson, has not been in contact since, and does not answer or reply to any contact methods. Britannia confirm there are no other instructors in my area. I asked for a refund since they were unable to provide lessons. They refused, saying refund requests must be on paper in a letter through Royal Mail to head office. I sent them a refund request including the paper vouchers five weeks ago. They have the vouchers, they have the paper refund request, and they have done nothing. Avoid these scammers and thieves.

United Kingdom | 24 February 2022Don't know where to begin - first driving instructor with Britannia, his car packed up, then moved on to instructor number 2 who basically wanted me to have more than the 2 hours lesson I had each week at a cost of £240 per week in advance!!! got me to cancel a test i Jan as said I was not ready then messed me about as to whether he could actually do the new test I had tried with much difficulty to rebook, so then moved on to instructor 3 who was able to do the new test and told me that I would have passed previous test I'd booked that instructor 2 told me Iwouldn't. He had an issue knocking on my door to say he'd arrived for lesson, consequently my lessons were shorter than the hour booked to cover the time he was outside waiting un be known to me. Today - 3 weeks before my test he has now told me that he can no longer take me for the test as he has a family emergency!! called the driving school for help only to be told there are no other instructors available to do the test with me and no instructors free till end of march to give me any lessons. I have 4 hours of pre paid vouchers which I asked for refund for only to be told that would be something I'd have to take up with directors in writing. Asked to speak to someone senior to be told office manager who I was speaking to was most senior person available. UNBELIEVABLLY LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION!! now have the mammoth task of finding another driving school , getting used to a new car in 3 weeks and trying to get my £120 refunded. I WOULD THEREFORE NOT RECOMMED THIS COMPANY AT ALL.

United Kingdom | 19 January 2022My driving instructor was Jon and he was terrible. He makes the student feels like an idiot and really destroys the confidence for no real reason. I did classes with a few other instructors and they were great and patiente, quite the opposite from Jon. And he also makes xenofobic commentaries all the time which is very upseting. I do not recommend at all using Jon as the instructor.
