I phoned the helpline and spoke to a real person (Ken) who was able to answer my questions directly, this allowed the insurance product to be tailored to my needs. Good service and well a priced product.

I had been recommended this insurance company by my holiday agent. Having had travel policies previously with other companies which seemed to take a time going through personal information and also being on the phone to them for ages, this phone call to the Planet Earth agent made the process including the price easy. I would certainly use this company again as speaking to them simplified the whole application process.

I have been using this company for a number of years now and have always received great service. Jeremy and Ken have always been very friendly and helpful during our phone conversations. I've also been impressed by how quickly the relevant paperwork arrives in the post.

I sent in my claim on July 14th via post following the instructions on my insurance documents. No acknowledgement or any kind of reply was received. On Sept 17th I followed this up via email and to this date I still have no acknowledgement or reply from the Insurance company. Is this just a scam and have I been ripped off?

My other son feel ill three days ago and I am still waiting for a case reference I emailed all my details and had a response asking for a telephone number which I sent right away but still await a case reference they clearly do not have enough staff to deal with the amount of policies they sell I have had to pay out over £1700 dollars so far I can’t wait to see how long it takes to get that refunded. Judging by over reviews I am going to have a long wait. I am leaving another review as they seem to responded to these reviews quicker than they respond to the emergency email address

I had to PEI this morning and was vert pleased with the help I recieved and the speed of which I was dealt with, all details and alterations were explained and changed quickly and emailed straight over whilst on the phone with customer service. This gave me confidence in PEI and if I need to make a claim in the event of any issues.

Woeful experience. Delayed luggage cover refused payout. Seemed a perfectly valid claim - but diddled in the small print. Loads of admin undertaken gathering documents, 6 weeks wait for a service response (via a separate company) - then a let down. Outcome might be accurate but it certainly didn't feel fair. Felt like mis-selling that feature to be honest.

They take your money very easy. But don't want to talk with you if making a claim. Keep well away from them. Disgusting.

I called May Day Assistance for a medical emergency whilst in Florida 2 months ago and expected them to deal directly with the hospital and then received a $16000 hospital bill yesterday. Cannot seem to contact anyone at May Day Assist as it is the emergency line only and Planet Earth is the Sales Office. I am hoping Tim I spoke with at Planet Earth can direct my query and once I get a resolve, I will change my review accordingly.

I am sorry to say I think this firm intentionally delays paying claims in order to maximize use of funds. My claim for cancellation due to my wife's illness has remained without action for over 9 weeks. It is straightforward, documented and despite correspondence asking for action nothing happens. They are fully aware I can only bring the Ombudsman in after 3 or 4 months. Having worked in insurance for 40 years I think their business model is disgusting. I say that as a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

If I could give a negative 500 stars I would. They have ruined our life this year. Avoid Planet Earth and Ergo (can't even tell which one is my actual Insurance company anymore) at all costs. Beware, if you need to claim it will cost you. Bought an annual policy with covid cover in good faith and contracted covid just before we were due to fly to the US for our dream holiday. Taken 6 months to go through the claims process and decline the claim. A perfectly valid claim. 6 months of stress and a loss of over £10,000. Now seeking legal advice. This is the worst experience of my life.
