36 years in my dept....retired, and then part time SRO, I am more than "grateful" for this wonderful presentation on 'autism'. When I was a kid in my neighborhood neighborhood, we had a young man with autism. It was not called that in the late 1960's. Sadly, I was his only friend. Other kids were scared of him because of his mannerisms' and behavior. At that time, there was no "diagnosis" for autism. He was remanded to the mental retardation school during the day, except for the summers. He had all of these signature meanings. This video is extremely important to those who have never had an experience with someone with autism. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video, and important information of those who are autistic. 5 STAR

I am autism mom that was able to attend the training in our city. I was very pleased with all the information he gave to our first responders. I truly hope they took all his information and tucked it in their minds so they will know how to proceed if they ever need to. I was honored to be a part of it!

This training was extremely beneficial! I have worked with individuals with disabilities for over 20 years and still learned so much from this training! Jerry is so passionate about this and it definitely shows! I would even recommend this for parents and family members of individuals with Autism.

Trainer is very knowledgeable on the subject. The fact that he has a son who has autism makes him that much more passionate about the subject and it shows!

I thought the instructor did a great job on explaining what autism is and signs to look for when a patrol officer or someone not familiar with autism, should look for and understand.

I learned behavioral ques which i wasn't familiar with before. I had heard of stimming before as well but didn't know what it meant. Thanks to StreetCopTraning who encouraged Capt. Gerald to give out a few free courses. Half of my agency has already signed up for the training.

Captain Turning made this information accessible and understandable and drove home the point that it is absolutely critical. Great examples and videos of real-life situations. All first responders need this information, especially because it is not just lumped in with training on mental health issues and drug use. Autism is common and unique and deserves its own category. This is what Captain Turning has done. Bravo!
