United States | 14 December 2024It’s not easy, at all, to submit a claim. The link didn’t even work for my brother. He had to fill out a paper form. I got half way through and then my numeric answer wasn’t accepted? I reached out and was also sent a paper form to fill out. Then they need an exact reason why you were delayed. The explanation letter from the airline wasn’t good enough. It’s hard to not feel like this process is made so difficult so you just give up on summiting a claim.

Singapore | 14 December 2024The test of an insurance company is not how fast they take your money (very fast), but how fast they give it back if you make a claim. Ask me how you performed if I have to make a claim. I would say that direct billing and the ability to claim costs to stay with family member or travel companion in the event of an emergency would improve your offer.

United States | 14 December 2024Your coverage posted on the website was significantly less or not documented in your policy. The website said the EPIC plan covered for $250,000 for Accident and Sickness Medical but then when I bought the policy it changed to $25,000. In addition, the policy omitted most of the itemized dollar amounts listed under the "select my plan" like Medical Evac that was specified as $700,000. No mention of any evac dollar amounts in the policy. The only amount mentioned was the Medical - conveniently changed to $25,000 It looked like a total scam to me. Any company that won't list the covered amounts in the policy is doing that so they can deny any claims. I cancelled the policy 10 minutes after they sent it to me when I realized they weren't covering what they said they were going to. If its not in the policy its not covered

United States | 13 December 2024When trying to submit a claim, there are many glitches and faults within the website. I wasn't told they were updating the website and I spent much time in frustration until I called customer service. Customer service then referred me to the website with many glitches. Thankfully through many trails and errors I submitted my claims.

Indonesia | 12 December 2024The log in process is always difficult and messy you think your logged in then it asks your details when you want to make a policy then it offers a discount that seems almost impossible to apply and don’t get.

Australia | 11 December 2024My story is a long and distressing one with life threatening injuries, overseas hospitalisation and medical repatriation - 5 years ago. Nomads were helpful all the way through communication and financial support.

Australia | 10 December 2024My daughter bought this travel insurance. She had a $1800 camera stolen. She had witnesses and a full police report, serial numbers, a statutory declaration , photos of her with the camera etc. However World Nomads are so far refusing to pay out because she had bought the camera second-hand from another photographer, and not brand new from a retail store. The stipulation you need to have an original RETAIL receipt is not in the policy... imagine if you had your bag stolen and had to come up with a receipt for every item of clothing within it, and the suitcase!! Warning: WORLD NOMADS use an offshore claim processing company who will "deny, delay, defend". UPDATE: despite the automated note below, we have has no contact from World Nomad's "Bibita"
