However we found the experience to be excellent. Great communication for delivery dates, the product arrived in perfect condition and runs like a dream. This was to replace an atrocious Fisher and Paykle we had from new that was an issue from day one - the $299 vogue we got from trade tested performs waaaay better than the $900 F and P.

The staff at stores after a good look arranged for delivery with castle couriers from another branch which arrived within a couple of days to my address. Not perfect but good service to resolve situation

New Zealand | 24 October 2024Initially, I would have awarded them with more stars, however, my issues have not yet been resolved. I bought a Vogue hotplate freestanding oven. The delivery terms stated that the item must be checked and approved for any damage. However, the delivery driver left the oven on my front porch early in the morning without any notification. I contacted TD, and they assured me that the oven would still be under warranty even though it wasn't checked upon delivery. Why include that clause if it's not enforced? Before unpacking, the box appeared intact with no visible external damage. However, upon opening, we discovered a dent in the top rear corner. Despite this, we decided to overlook it due to the long wait for delivery and our urgent need for an oven. I carefully followed the startup instructions and heated the oven to eliminate any fumes. As the oven warmed up, it began making loud noises, likely from the expanding metal. I assumed this was normal until I noticed the base inside the oven, near where the door closes, was glowing red. I quickly turned off the power and opened the door to investigate. The lower element had burned through the base, creating a bubbled bump along the front. If I had left the kitchen for the recommended time, it could have caught fire! Upon closer inspection, we found that the damage to the top of the oven was severe, possibly causing the element to be misaligned. I didn't have the opportunity to test the oven. I informed TD, and they promptly arranged a replacement before I could even request an upgrade to a different model. The replacement arrived, this time with a notification. I received a text a week later notifying me my delivery was one hour away which, I ignored. What is going on at Trade Depot??? We unpacked the oven, had it connected (again) and allowed it time to heat up. The noise wasn't as loud, but I decided to stay in the kitchen. Once again, the base heated up and created a bulge in the middle where the lower element is located. I turned off the appliance and informed TD, sending new photos of the recurring issue. I've received confirmation of my refund claim and it is under review and a ticket number, but I'm still waiting for the resolution. We're currently without an oven and the funds! I was cautioned about TD, and now I see why. Has anyone experienced a similar issue with their oven heating up and damaging the base? I'm interested in hearing your stories. Have you ever run your hand along the front bottom of your oven and noticed a bulge or a rough surface in the middle? I suggest you do!
