I have been burned in the past by toys that do not live up to the quality they profess (especially in regards to potentially toxic materials used in manufacturing the product), so my experience with Spectrum Boutique was a very welcomed surprise in a long list of regrettable past toy purchases. The goods are a bit over priced, but I felt like I was supporting a woman-owned business so it felt worth it. Well, if your package is stolen, and you spend a week contacting UPS, USPS, and the company, the best they can offer you is a 40% off coupon. They don't replace lost packages, unlike other companies like amazon and bad dragon and your local sex store. I would just think twice before purchasing their goods

UPDATE 2: I wound up ordering a second round of accessories and a wellness book through Spectrum, and this order completely corrected the issues I outlined previously! Our customs declaration simply said our items were "Personal Care Products" and no product brands or items were individually mentioned anywhere on the customs label. With that, I feel my previous experience was a completely isolated incident and I feel confident in ordering again in the future. Thank you Spectrum Boutique and Zoe! UPDATE: Zoe reached out to me and was kind enough to explain the error which occurred and has assured me that they will be looking into this to ensure it doesn't happen again, in addition to kindly refunding my order so that we might try them again in the future. At the moment we are hesitant but we may try again later in the year following Zoe's prompt addressing of the issue of missed discreetness. Zoe, thank you for caring about this error and looking into it! I sincerely do hope going forward this problem doesn't occur and cause stress for Spectrum Boutique and its customers. This was not our first order, but this round we had a very disappointing experience as Canadian shoppers. The TL;DR is that tracking the shipping was a bit of a hassle, according to the shipper it took several days from the date the label was printed to when it was actually handed over to the shipping company, and our "discreet shopping" was pretty much tossed out the window and our courier literally teased us at the door. This could be catastrophic for folks who aren't living in safe environment. We ordered our merchandise on a weekend in the hopes that it would be processed within the next few business days. It seemed to be going along fine at first, but there were a few issues with the shipping right away. For one, the link we received to track it lead to a Google search error. I had to plug it into a generic multi-tracking service to find out who was shipping it. My order details claimed: " Shipping Method International Shipping - DHL GlobalMail Parcel Standard" - but DHL turned up no results. It was UPS instead. Simple solution but very confusing to be told something else on my order form. Once I figured out who was tracking it, it sat in "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item" hell for several days. We ordered on Feb 4th, and our tracking said this on Feb 14th: "Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS, USPS Awaiting Item. The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on February 14, 2022 to expect your package for mailing." Felt like it seriously sat in limbo for quite a while. :< Two of those days were Saturday and Sunday, but we weren't exactly prepared for the order to sit for 6 biz days before it was turned over to a shipping company. With COVID though we sort of understand. Anyway the biggest issue was thus. The website promises: "Shipping, as well as billing, is discreet and will not have “Spectrum” or any other adult company name visible." When we received our order, stamped right on the custom's label was: "B-Vibe Anal Massage & Education / Sliquid Bassy Gel Booty Formula / Kixies Panty XL" Thanks for that discreetness, Spectrum! :( Naturally, our courier was giggling and kept hinting "you must be excited". In a more conservative or unsafe household, this package declaration could have gotten us in HUGE trouble instead of just causing us a few blushes with a rude courier. I'm really disappointed in this. I understand that on a customs declaration, details need to satisfy the requirements of the depot, but this is not our first time ordering adult products. Customs declarations have been as simple as "Electronic Massager" or "Silicone Adult Novelty Product". Going as far as to label the item's company name and purpose feels like a betrayal of the trust we placed in Spectrum's shipping policy. We love your inclusive platform, your statement, your journal, your forum, everything, but this has completely turned us off future orders. It's really disappointing because we really do love the company but this felt like we could only trust the website's policies with a grain of salt, and when it comes to intimate products, it's full trust or nothing. Sadly, we won't be returning, and we're super bummed how this turned out.

Spectrum Boutique is amazing! I can’t imagine it’s easy running an online retailer for sex toys, but Spectrum has always been incredibly accessible and fun to navigate, which I appreciate. Everything is clear and laid out beautifully. I think it’s awesome how Spectrum is de-stigmatizing the conversation around self pleasure and I’m really so grateful I stumbled across them. I paid 85 dollars for a "fetish bouncer" or whatever it's called, then when I had to google the instructions since mine came in Chinese, I discovered it's a $30 Wish product. I wouldn't even mind if they had included instructions in English, or maybe included some nice packaging, but this clearly came directly from Wish! For a company that focuses on things like seeming ethical and promoting socialist ideas, this is kind of an effing joke.
