The relaxed and informative methods employed by the deliverer made the course engaging and accessible. He was able to display his knowledge through out and was able to expand and go into detail in areas not with in the syllabus.

Good course. After 15 years of 1st aid in the workplace this was much more relevant to my situation as outdoor worker. I do feel it was (for me) more of a booster as I already had some experience (almost all related to cuts, falls and trips) and the more theoretical background from previous courses.

This course is so in depth for only being a weekend long. No stone left unturned and any questions answered. The group setting has been very relaxed and open to share experience or thoughts further enhancing the knowledge of the group. Scenarios help to cement learning in as real a situation as you allow yourself believe! Thanks Andy!

A brilliant 16 hour Outdoor Emergency First Aid course with the very knowledgeable and experienced Andy at the Adventure Academy! Andy created a very relaxed and comfortable learning environment and took the time to draw on the attendees range of experience to make the learning relevant. The facilities and equipment made available really enhanced the scenario's, which in themselves, built seamlessly on the learning covered during the course.

This was a great, hands on practical course that never got boring. Andy prepared you with step by step training and lots of great scenarios that really made you think in the moment. Andy's ability to create an effective context for applying first aid in the outdoors is excellent. Excellent course. Andy is a highly professional tutor with a really great skill set for making everything realistic informative and fun at the same time. One of the courses I’ve learned the most from in the last 20 years and feel I have a really solid skill set now. Hope I never have to use it but if I did I’d feel I had a decent skillset.

Andy presented a great informative two day outdoor first aid course. Very informative and well structured to get us all involved and be part of the event. Well mixed in and out door activities to keep us all motivated and keen to learn. Been on number of outdoor courses, but this one was exceptional in providing our needs as Paragliding Instructors who would be on the hill far from support. We hadn't seen the wireless "Annies" before and to get feed back on our technique was invaluable and made the repeating of the exercise rather competitive to get right amongst the participants! Andy is a great instructor. His enthusiasm, knowledge and good sense of humour made the course an enjoyable experience. The outdoor scenarios were particularly useful and gave you the opportunity to put what you learned into use.

I had a great time on the course. Andy was really informative, engaging and friendly. The content was memorable and going outside to utilise the skills in varying scenarios really helped cement what we'd learned. The only thing I would have liked to spend some more time on was how to correctly and effectively bandage wounds. We did cover this but it felt a little rushed. Overall, fantastic course!

Thank you Andy (and the rest of the group) for a great 2 days training last week. As someone who felt inadequate and uncomfortable at the thought of attending more serious incidents which require First Aid this course was perfect. The informal nature and the focus on children and the outdoors was exactly what I needed to compliment my forest school training. As a result of the training, my knowledge has increased greatly, learning from Andy's extensive knowledge and experience and sharing from the rest of the group. We covered many relevant subjects. I thought the amount of time spent on CPR really helped to give understanding, insight and effective skill to complete the procedure in a real life situation should it ever occur. Thank you. I liked Andy's responsiveness to the group - knowing when we needed a break and also to let the conversation flow and move naturally from one teaching point to another rather than following a prescribed formula for the day. I loved the training being outside and in a wooded area. It all helped to the feeling of relevance. As this was the first First Aid training I have attended I have nothing to compare it. However, I wouldn't ask for it to be changed in any way. Ann
