I am writing to express our sincere displeasure with the services provided by George Street Photo during our wedding in June 2024. Despite our detailed initial discussions, the service we received was far from satisfactory, and to our dismay, we were not offered any refund. Our main photographer, David, displayed a remarkable level of unprofessionalism throughout the day. He made inappropriate comments that shocked my bridal party and added unnecessary stress by trying to manage issues himself rather than deferring to our planner. Despite being provided a photo list a week prior, he claimed not to have received it and continually brought problems to me instead of coordinating with our planner. At one point, he even called me a bridezilla when I asked to stand still instead of adjusting my dress and mocked our guests for 'abandoning us' during our planned photo session at the church. Michael, the second photographer, was largely absent and failed to fulfill his role. During the entire getting-ready process, he was consistently in the wrong place or missing, causing significant delays. He misdirected my dad, nearly spoiling our first look. During formal photos, Michael was either idle or taking irrelevant candids, failing to assist the main photographer as promised. Post-formal pictures, he vanished without any communication, and I barely saw him for the rest of the event. Specific issues included: Negligence in Photography: Despite my clear instructions, many photos were taken from my bad side, rendering them unusable. Lack of Coverage: The absence of photos from multiple angles and key moments indicates that the second photographer was not performing his duties, leaving us with an incomplete photographic record. Poor Positioning: The photographers failed to position the bridal party correctly, resulting in awkward gaps and unflattering compositions in many formal photos. Given these numerous issues, the lack of professionalism, and the subpar quality of our wedding photos, we are extremely disappointed that no refund was offered. This experience has left us with an incomplete and unsatisfactory photographic memory of our special day. We strongly advise future clients to reconsider before choosing George Street Photo.

Downright horrible experience from start to finish. If you want to look back at the photos and videos of your wedding and be disappointed, then this business is for you. I'm embarrassed to show my friends and family the majority of the photos and both videos I received from George Street. The quality of images and videos looks like an amateur took them. Only ONE usable photo of me and my father walking down the aisle, shaky and abrupt camera work while video tapping our reception speeches, I could go on. I was promised that the photographer has experience working at my venue and she didn’t which led to a chaotic picture taking experience.   I would never recommend this business to anyone. They do not hire experienced professionals, take no accountability for the quality of their work and don’t care about your feedback to actually improve. For a business in the wedding industry, they don’t care that they're ruining people's weddings. Sickening.

Failure to Capture Key Moments: We hired George Street to document our wedding day, which included two photographers scheduled to capture the getting-ready moments of both my spouse and me. We specifically requested this arrangement because we were not doing a first look. However, on the day of the wedding, one of the photographers decided not to show up at all for my getting ready location, leaving me without any getting ready photos, while my spouse had an abundance of them. Lack of Compensation: When we reached out to George Street about the missed event, they refused to provide any monetary compensation and instead claimed that the photographer stayed later at our reception as a form of compensation. This was not what we wanted; we needed those precious moments captured at a specific event (getting ready), not additional reception coverage. Missed Key Moments at the Reception: At the wedding reception, we expected the photographers to document significant moments, such as my spouse's dance with his grandmother. Regrettably, they failed to capture this memorable moment, yet there were numerous unnecessary photos of random guests' children running around. Unauthorized Use of Family Photos: I arranged for a family member to step in and take some getting ready photos to compensate for the photographer's absence. Since we ordered our wedding albums through George Street as part of our package, and George Street did not capture any getting ready photos for me, I worked with George Street to get them to include one specific shot that my family member took in our wedding album. However, George Street not only failed to provide the other desired detail photos due to not sending a photographer to the scheduled event but also inappropriately watermarked and claimed ownership of my family member's photo on their website. Rushed and Unpleasant Experience: When I finally arrived at the main venue from my getting ready location, the photographer who didn't show up at my getting ready venue rushed through taking my photos. The resulting pictures turned out to be of poor quality, failing to capture the essence of the moment. We ended up with over 3000 photos and had maybe 50 that were good. Difficulty in Obtaining Purchased Products: Our package included multiple wedding albums and photo prints, which we struggled to obtain. We had to send multiple emails and make multiple calls to request separate codes for each album or photo print that we had already paid for. George Street did not inform us that this was part of the process. Flawed Website for Album Creation: The website provided by George Street for creating the wedding album continually added extra albums to the cart, making the process extremely frustrating. We had to email and call on multiple occasions for a workaround to even be able to order our album. It also didn't save any progress when making edits, forcing us to start over multiple times. Unexplained Removal of Photos: After finally completing our wedding album, we discovered that George Street had removed one of our carefully selected photos without notifying us. This happened to be the only photo we had of my spouse's dad's side of the family. The website specifically instructed us to add up to 51 photos. We added exactly 51, and then George Street removed one without informing us. We strongly advise future clients to be cautious when considering this company for their photography needs.

I was working as a photographer in George Street. The first years was good experience but in last to years was horrible to work with. I took some engagement photos with a couple who hired me for their wedding also in November. After sending them all the photos I took, in addition to staying more than the time paid by them of $250, they began to ask me for a photo that they were missing, I asked them what it was and they never responded and they took away my wedding contract, they left me without the job without notifying me or sending me a cancellation email. At one of their weddings that I did in a hotel in Miami Beach, a guest fell on me on a ramp, knocking my Nikon D850 camera to the ground and breaking it. No one helped me, only the DJ and the videographer's wife. I contacted them and they told me that I should talk to my personal insurance and the woman who spoke to me was rude and didn't even ask me how I felt. The day after the wedding my shoulder was very sore and in a lot of pain, I had to have an x-ray I should pay the co-payment and the therapy I had to do myself. If you want a good photographer for your wedding, look for a professional that you can talk to directly and not through third parties, this is my recommendation since I have been doing my own weddings for 20 years.

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR EVENT! We unfortunately used George Street for our wedding photography. They didn’t deliver all of the services promised to us, the online portal never seemed to work on any of our devices, their customer service communication is terrible and they replaced our photographer @ 9pm the night before the wedding without consulting us. Worst of all, that replacement photographer seemed lost the entire day, many of the photos are blurry and of amateur quality at best.

George street photo review Horrible experience! First, they substituted our original photographer 2 days before our wedding and that was a terrible experience. There was no communication with photographer and videographer before the wedding, even though we asked. The photos are Horrible with bad lighting and angles as well as out of focus shots. The video is equally as bad as the pictures! Video is not voiced correctly and out of focus and some scenes with just background, no people! The audio quality or lack of it is just crap!! We are extremely disappointed and would Never recommend using this incompetent company !!!

We had a great experience working with George Street for our wedding photography! From our initial call all the way though our wedding day, the George Street team was very easy to work with and professional. They were extremely flexible and reasonable when our initial wedding plan changed due to COVID and helped us come up with an a package and schedule that met was perfect for our scaled-down wedding. Our photographer Stuart was fantastic and extremely talented. He fit right in with our family and had great ideas for photos. We wanted to keep our wedding pretty casual and he adapted perfectly- opting for more candid, relaxed shots then formal portraits. I would highly recommend George Street to anyone!

I wish I could go back and hire a different photographer. I was so disappointed! We spend a lot of money on George Street and we're not happy with our photos at all. There were sooo many moments that I specifically requested that were not captured such as my husbands face as I was walking down the isle. I have never seen my husband cry and probably never will again, but the didn't get that on camera, or me hugging my maid of honor after her speech, not one picture of my flower girl walking down the isle either. Then the pictures I did get were so poorly taken. I got this wonderful picture of all my nieces and nephews (10 kids under 6) running and jumping on my husband and I but my husbands head is cut off.. or my flower girl looking at my dress but you can hardly see my dress, you aren't sure what she is looking at. Finally, we were told we would receive all photos, but there are photos I know we took that we didn't get. And ones there should be no reason didn't turn out, such as a purple bow down in my dress for sentimental reasons. I held the dress for her to take the photo, so where is it? Just a big disappointment. Don't use them... find someone else!

Loved George Street Photography!! If you don't know what you want or where to start, the people at George Street was the best guide. As a first time bride, I was overwhelmed with the amount of work that weddings entail. George Street was so helpful through every step. They provided numerous resources, as well as a lot of advice throughout the entire process. The pictures came out lovely and was so happy that I chose them. They were very affordable and like I said, super helpful!! Made sure that above all else, that my (now) husband and I enjoyed our wedding without any worries.

We had some reservations about working with a large company rather than an independent photographer and videographer but in the end, we were very pleased with our decision! They make the planning process very easy. Our photographer, Shawna, did an excellent job and our photos turned out beautiful! The only thing that was lacking was photos of the scenery, which we specifically requested. Still waiting for our video (which takes a few months) but I have no doubt it will be amazing!

My husband and I had a destination wedding in Estes Park, Colorado this past May. We were so happy with our experience with George Street Photo & Video. We live a thousand miles away from our wedding location, so many aspects were difficult planning from afar. With George Street it was different. We met a consultant in our city, had engagement photos taken with a photographer in our city, and had two amazing photographers that captured our perfect day once we were in the mountains. We were so happy with the final product and how wonderfully our photographers captured our special day!

My husband and I were beyond pleased with George Street! We had a lead and assistant photographer in our package and were impressed by their talents and abilities to capture great moments throughout the day, from the most important, emotional moments to the mundane. Both photographers were professional and personable and managed to blend in during the ceremony while still capturing great moments. We are also extremely happy with the quality and quantity of photos taken, as well as the high quality of the photobook we received in our package. I have and will continue to recommend George Street to anyone looking for a quality, professional, and affordable photography company.

We are very pleased with our experience with George Street Photo. They are very communicative and helpful throughout the entire process; from our original inquiry, through the decision making process, throughout the planning, and after. Our Coordinator went above and beyond to help us when we needed it and was very responsive. Overall, they were easily our most responsive Vendor. I loved getting to look at photos and getting to know what style you like so you can pick the right photographer for you. There is also reassurance using GS because if for some reason your photographer can't make your big day, they have back ups ready just in case. There are many packages for you to pick your needs and match your budget appropriately. The only difference between GS and a private photographer is you can't expect to receive a Sneak Peak of your wedding photos the next day. We did however receive our first sneak peak the Friday after our Saturday wedding! We'd recommend using George Street to our friends and family looking for a wedding photographer!

My husband and I got married this past April in Georgetown, SC. As I was searching for a wedding photographer, I ran across George Street Photo, and I am so glad I did! From the beginning, the George Street team was exceedingly accommodating and timely in helping answer any questions we had. We had the privilege of communicating with various people on the George Street team including Jillian, Emma, Kate, and Kevin. All four of them were incredible! Kevin did an excellent job as our photographer for the wedding day. He was funny, kind, and overall an exceptional choice! We couldn’t be more pleased with the way our photographs turned out. My only regret is that our photographer didn’t take any photos of my husband and his groomsmen getting ready, which I didn’t know until it was too late. Overall though, great company to work with!

George Street was wonderful to work with! Their team was very professional and made the whole experience so easy. The photographers were laid back and willing to do anything we asked, and they did a wonderful job capturing our special day. On top of everything else their customer service was top of line!!

My husband and I got married this April. We used George street photography for or photography and video, and they were wonderful! From the day we met with alli, who explained to us about George street and showed us samples of their work and different packages, our experience was a breeze and they helped us every step of the way. The prices were very competitive and there were many options as far as packages and photographers. Our wedding coordinator, Hannah, was always available to answer any questions we had and always responded promptly and completely. We never even had to ask questions because she was always one step ahead. Our photographer, santos, was friendly, professional, creative, and got great shots. We were extremely happy with both our engagement shoot and photos and our wedding photos and they were all we expected and more! Our videographer, Johnathan, was super professional and was always right behind us at the wedding making sure he caught every moment, and our video came out great! He even stayed an extra half an hour to ensure he got video of us cutting our wedding cake, which was super nice of him. The process of getting our pictures and videos after the wedding was super easy. I would recommend George street photo and video to everyone-they have good prices, great talent, and they really make it so one of the most important parts of your special day, photography and videography, is Stress-free! I was extremely happy with them and can't say enough good things about their professionalism and their products!

We had such a great experience with George Street Photo & Video. They truly checked all of our boxes. They had very reasonable pricing and a great choice of packages. We met with Christine and right away she made me feel like this was the right choice. We had an amazing photographer (Konrad) from the Cleveland area. He was so kind and truly interested in getting the best pictures possible (and he had a good sense of humor!) I'm a more reserved person so I really liked that everything was set up online and through a portal. Hannah has been keeping me updated through the whole process and even sent some sneak peek photos which have been a great way to hold me over until they are finished. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy and responsive photographer!

We got married this past March. We live in the Chicagoland area and were planning a wedding in Michigan. Everyone at George Street was exremely helpful in answering my questions, helping me set up a time line, and keeping with the style of photos we wanted to capture our special day. There wasn't a moment that got missed and so many perfect moments that were taken for us to remember forever. They helped us arrange both our engagement session here in IL, and all of the wedding details in MI. George Street was worth every single penny!

My husband and I got married in April 2017. We chose George Street Photography because their packages are good deals, and they have had a lot of positive reviews. We met with Sarah who went over the packages with us and showed us portfolios of 4 photographers to choose from. We chose Elaine as our photographer. George Street has a good website where we could set up the schedule for the day. Up until 1 week before the wedding, the communication went through a “wedding coordinator” Kate. Kate has always been very quick to respond to any questions we had. Elaine contacted us 1 week before the wedding to go over details about the day. On the day of the wedding Elaine was very sweet as well as professional. Neither my husband and I were very good at posing for the camera but Elaine put us at ease. We did choose to have formal portraits taken around the venue with just the 2 of us and also with our families/ wedding party, and formal table shots at the reception as well, but some of the best shots were spontaneous photos captured on (and around) the dance floor. The photos were posted on the website right on time 4 weeks after our wedding, and made available for download 6 weeks after the wedding. We were very happy with the photos we have. We’re happy we chose Elaine and George Street for our wedding photography and would definitely recommend them to any couples looking for wedding photographers.
