Software is not intuitive, deadlines are ridged/don't foster a collaboartive partnership or are frankly not customer service friendly and once you pick a freelancer your stuck with that decision all the way through editing.

Wide range of writers to choose from enabled me to select the one who had an experience and education background in the topic relevant to my book. I am very pleased with the process and results and I will recommend TUR to everyone who wants to delegate bookwriting process.

I had a really great experience with my ghostwriter and my editor, they were extremely responsive and very enthusiastic about my project. The administrators were also hugely helpful when I was trying to navigate the platform being a new customer - they too were very responsive. The only negative which is the reason why my review is four stars versus five is that the document itself is not accessible for changes by me as the ghostwriter is writing. In other words, I can’t edit anything other than leaving messages primarily about content comments. This made it difficult to be able to really convey a tone or a voice that would have subtly changed the manuscript. However, I’m very pleased with what I received, and was amazed at the speed in which it was delivered. I can always edit after the fact, but I do believe a higher quality product would be delivered if we could have a little bit more access to collaboration.

I bought a package deal. The writer was average, I actually had to rewrite most of the manuscript. I could have done without the proofreader, who made minimal changes, whereas my own proofreaders did an excellent job. TUW's only saving grace was the book cover designer who produced a great book cover and in a timely fashion. Overall, barely scraping average.

The reason I gave a 2 was for the people who did the work (writers, graphic artists, editor, etc.) each and every one were fabulous. So why would I give such a low rating? The platform itself is greatly lacking by the admin and the platform itself. I would leave a message for admin and at one point it took 5 days to get a response. Their excuse was it was the weekend. They would never answer my question but kept repeating how to use the platform. I was told about 8x to watch the video when I already said I had watched the video 3x. The editing process is difficult and cumbersome. I am use to working in Word with track changes and can easily click and accept the changes or reply with thoughts. Here you have to use line # and type out changes. You also have to toggle back and forth to comment. It’s easy to lose your train of thought and have to repeat several times. It got so bad I chose to approve and then. Do my own edits. But THEN I couldn’t get the document because I had bought a package and the had to finish everything before I could download anything. I would never suggest to purchase a package because of that fact. If I have only bought the writing I could have gone in done all my changes and then go to editing. I had heard urbane writers was one of the best so it terrifies me what the others are like! I hope you have a better experience than I did…but it was not good at all.

I liked that it was easy to navigate and use the platform. My writer was good. she communicated well and on time. What i disliked is that the fact that all communication was cut as soon as I approved my order. there was no direction of what to do next, wether I will get the completed order by email or download it there. little more questions I had about the work after downloading. So basically there is no after care and on will feel abandoned after approval stage. I have emailed the support team but I did not get reply.

Liked: - one stop shop for everything - somewhat quality confirmation before hiring Dislike: - rigidity of the process. Although it was my first time, there was no desire to accommodate me along the way for things I had missed during my ordering process. Everything can be resolved by paying more. - Even though, I complained, there was no desire to help me. - Chat disappears when the order is complete. - No possibility to go back to download my documents when the order is complete.

Hi, The actual writing is way off. I'm now having to rewrite the whole book. Communication with TUW is too difficult. I'm now cut off from chat.

TUW staff was polite, professional, and competent. There was a delay of several weeks that I wasn't expecting, but that is not abnormal. They ended up producing a good solid product for me as contracted.

This was my first time ever putting together a book and I chose TUW from the recommendation of a colleague. I felt as though I had a team underneath me that I was collaborating with to get my work done. Everything was done as expected and beyond, even revisions.
