I found the website to be lacking a lot of product information to help determine the correct product I required which was frustrating. I did then use chat but after a wait I then received an email response, after I few emails I finally got the part number I required. I went back to the website and found three products matching that part number. There was nothing to differentiate the products except brand. one was a genuine OEM part at three times the price of the other two. I then replied to the email to see which of the two pattern parts were in stock, only to be told they don't hold either in stock. I placed an order for the more expensive option as it said it would ship faster than the cheaper alternative. I did select the option to receive an alternative product if the one ordred wasn't available. About 36hours later, I got a shipping notification and I also received a refund for the difference between the price of the two products but no notification as to why. The next day I receive my order and it was the lower priced product, I then had several emails to say my product had arrived but still nothing about an alternative having been sent. Multiple emails to say the delivery has arrived really are a waste of time, I know it has arrived, it is sat in my kitchen. Britcar lost marks for an old fashioned website with poor search and filtering, the product information is non existent, I want to be able to compare products to see exactly which I require including product specs. Many car parts websites allow the user to put in their registration number and see the products that fit. They also lost marks for requiring several emails to find the part and then to have to go back to see which they have in stock. Finally the communication if I start a conversation on the chat, I expect the response on chat not to switch to email, I would have also liked to be informed if a substitute product had been shipped. It wasn't all bad, the delivery was quick, less than 72 hours, they did recommend the correct part, the price was good and although an old fashioned looking website, they do have some good personalisation elements. I do recommend them and I will use them again

Great personal service and a wide range of stock available. I only gave 4 stars because their web site sometimes incorrectly indicates ready availability. Provided you can afford to wait for the "available" component you'll get it eventually, and in my experience they do keep you updated.

Order a part, lots of help identifying the correct part, which was excellent, however I was assured it would arrive with the required gasket. This was not the case, the car has since been stuck for an additional three days in the garage whilst they order the required gasket. Shame.

Good efficient service. I ordered an incorrect part but this was sorted very quickly - new part was delivered within 2 days and I just handed incorrect part back to the DPD driver when it was delivered so all very easy

Very helpful to find the parts I needed but unfortunately, a week after ordering I'm still waiting for the parts. Requests for feedback should never come before the delivery imo. So Britcar, where are my parts? Updated, thank you for the positive outcome.
