Vandaag geweest. Tickets met een tijdslot, maar iedereen kon ter plekke nog een ticket kopen en naar binnen. Het was er warme en veel te druk. Kleine ruimtes en geen looproutes. Er is geen garderobe dus iedereen loopt ongezellig met dikke jassen en tassen. Op muren uitspraken tegen kapitalisme terwijl ik nog nooit in zo'n commercieel museum ben geweest. Ik ga niet meer terug.

Gisteren het moco museum bezocht en had mij hier heel erg op verheugd. Helaas viel het mij best tegen. Er waren tijdsloten maar dit merkte je helaas niet in het museum zelf. Het was mega druk en hierdoor had ik niet het idee dat je rustig naar kunst kon kijken. Ook was er geen plek om je jas of spullen achter te laten, dit vond ik ook minder fijn. Om de experience te verbeteren zou het fijn zijn om een looproute in de kamers te laten zien met pijlen, want iedereen ging door elkaar heen. Dit museum was helaas niet voor mij, hopelijk voor anderen wat meer!

Het op een mooie locatie gelegen (Museumplein) moco museum is wat inhoud betreft echt mooi. De reden van mijn lage score heeft te maken met de: - drukte (+ timers van Max 30 seconde per kamer op sommige ruimtes) als ook de vriendelijkheid en de mogelijkheid om echt tijd te nemen voor kunst. Na nog geen 40 minuten stonden we buiten… puur omdat de drukte er voor zorgt dat je niet langer in een ruimte kunt blijven om de werken goed te bekijken. De 19 euro pp vind ik het dan ook niet waard. Zo jammer want ik had er, vanuit België, zo naar uit gekeken.

It is in the same area where the bigger and more known museums are located (Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum). Smaller but with a nice gallery of modern/street art, Banksy dominating the gallery and at the time, got to see Arsham, Kusama, Warhol, and KAWS. Also has a nice outdoor garden with art pieces (if you feel it is a bit crowded or want some air). Only real drawback is I felt the price was a bit on the high side, and basically the same price as the other 2 bigger museums. Also, payment was via debit/credit ONLY (no cash) at the time of my visit, this could be an issue to some visitors.

I went to the moco museum with a pre booked ticket with a timeslot. I was not please to find that even with the timeslot the queue was really large and according to the staff taking way over half an hour to go in. I did not expect this and didnt have the extra time to queue so asked the staff about the possibility of a refund. They said they could not refund me at the site and said I could email an address they gave explaining the situation and they would be able to process the refund. No doubt a month later I receivee an email back telling me I cant have a refund despite staff and the manager promising this. I should have asked for the name of the manager but wrongly thought that people can be trusted to represent their business. So I still have no refund despite not being able to go in the museum and lied to by the staff so they have my €18 to enjoy to themselves. Shameful.

Small gallery but when we went it had an excellent selection of Banksy pieces. A nice and easily approachable introduction to contemporary art. A little crowded on a Saturday perhaps but good value. Buy tickets in advance and start your viewing from the top and work down.
