I put out the call for a plasterer, to dry wall our new kitchen at my place of work, I received 4 replies, the process was easy & the job is now almost complete

Price is competitive but not the cheapest

Three interested, two made contact, one came and quoted that night (he was good), the other guy came, said he was interested and despite me chasing for a quote, he has ignored my calls.. So one quote and difficult to benchmark if the price is good or not.

Very prompt service. As we were continuing our own investigations we did not use your tradesman. However; he was very friendly and responsive to our enquiry. Recommend him for future use.

Electrician rang me within a few hours of listing the job with Hipages. He quoted what I thought were reasonable rates. No other contacts came through that night so hired Stephen there and then. He arranged to attend my house the next day and fixed the problem within half an hour. Very professional, courteous and efficient. Very satisfying experience so will definitely use Hipages gain.

Haven’t hired anyone as yet. Waiting for them to all give quotes. But as far as the concept of putting my job ‘out there’ and connecting with a few local tradies I’d recommend..

One of the plumbers contacted me almost immediately and we arranged for him to complete the work the next day. The second plumber contacted me after the work was already completed and I never heard from a third.

My ceiling plaster had popped throughout the house and I hired Vlad from Ultimate Plastering to make the necessary repairs. All done in a timely manner. Clean, on time and efficient worker. Would recommend Hipages & Ultimate Plastering very highly.

The guys from H Plumbing were very good. They arrived, got into the job and worked very hard in a difficult drainage situation. The job was done as quoted, with a minimum of fuss and the finished product is something I was very pleased with. The site was left clean, neat and tidy. The only thing left behind was a very well finished job.

I like the hipages website. Got response from businesses very quick. One responded on the same day, just a few hours after I posted the job.

One of the people who contacted me was prompt, polite etc, but didn't provide the service I wanted. The second one had hopeless customer service skills- messaged me and asked me to contact him, which I did. We arranged for him to contact me in an hour to let me know when he could quote. He finally got back to me before 7a.m. three days later. I am interested that he has brilliant reviews- either I caught him at a bad time, or the reviews are not reliable. The third company seems professional and we have made a time for a quote. The jury is still out on them. Time will tell if it has been worth the effort.
